I am not against that what you wrote, yes a a father should have a say in but it isn't his body after all and shouldn't force the woman to give birth if she doesn't want to. Thats all.

But when they are divided, I would always err on the side of giving birth, for the same reason that if the woman wants to give birth the man shouldn't be able to make her abort.

That's on average less than 2% of life affected. Whereas with death that's 100% of life gone.

100% of even 25% is 25%
So err on side of 2%, even if it's the man who wants it, I think is the fairest option when a split decision.

At the early stages of development when abortions are typically preformed lungs aren't present. An embryo is completely inviable. It is incapable of sustaining life so it need a host (the mother). At this stage it's "heartbeat" is due to electrical impulses in the mother's body causing the developing muscle tissue to pulsate. It is by definition not alive.

Justifying that an abortion is performed when miscarriages likely occur is like shooting and killing an 85-year old and saying that itâs okay because most people die anyway after the age of 85.
