People have judged others for years!!
They see you those who have money in general as having made their gains through evil dealings, instead of hard work. Those who have money see those who are poor as lazy, and never wanting to work hard to get themselves on their feet with good finances.
Then you have the ones who so much money, they feel like everyone else should do what ever they ask; so they work hard to keep those who do have money from becoming like them, and those who have not enough money to live; they work really hard to keep them poor. Their goal in doing so, is to make sure that they stay at the top over everyone else, and everyone else serves them for a snippet of their wealth.
If everyone were educate the same about hard work, creativity, and networking; then allowed to use that knowledge to gain greater income; there would be less a divide, and you would not see people being judged based on their economic class; because everyone would have opportunity to rise up. As it currently stands; everyone is hindered from rising up economically, by the top 1 percent; and as long as people are judging each other based on their social economic class, none of those who are in the lower income will ever rise up, and those who are in the mid income will more than likely be forced into lower income; with the exception of the very small few who the top 1 percent will bring up to their level, just to make sure that their legacy, of suppression, and control of peoples economic class stays in place, even when they are gone.
If we stop letting them divide us; we can overcome!!!

People often judge others based on their socioeconomic status for various reasons depending on the person judging. Many people believe that one's income level determines a person's worth, level of ambition, ability to achieve, and usefulness in society. Beginning with income level determining a person's worth, many people believe that people with the most money are worth more because they have the power to help drive the economy by creating more jobs, building, giving to needy people, and pay the most taxes. While I personally would not consider wealthy people to be "worth" more than anybody, instead, I do consider them more able to help people in need. In addition, wealthy people tend to own things that most people wished they owned. Thus, people that seek wealthy partners find them useful because forming relationships with them could result in them living a luxurious lifestyle.
Moreover, regarding level of ambition, some people believe that a person's ambition level can be determined by the amount of money a person earns. People that make the most money tend to work the hardest while those that refuse to work tend to make less money. For example, a person that makes six figure income with an education and high work ethic is more likely to be judged better than a person that barely wants to work and mooch off other people. Furthermore, expounding on the ability to achieve, some people believe a person's income level determines their ability achieve. Those with the most skills and intelligence are more likely to work jobs that pay the most money. However, personally, I wouldn't say this is always the case, as some people make less money for other reasons despite their abilities such as discrimination.
Because of people remembering people also from that SES and how they acted. It’s the typical case of stereotyping. You get a handful of rich a$$holes and then people see someone rich and subconsciously judge them to also be that way. And then on the other end of the spectrum, you get a handful of lazy, criminal, poverty-stricken people and you subconsciously assume everyone poor could be that way. So it’s probably part of human nature trying to make sense of the experiences we’ve had to not repeat bad experiences.
ANCIENT stuff that somehow dragged itself over to modern times.
Even though it is true that most exclusive stuff, clubs and activities are walled off to medium-poor ceti, those are just clever initiatives made up by smart businessmen who know how to take money from dumb rich people who believe to be better than everyone else just for the amount of riches in their possession.
Basically, the ones who believe that is true are rich, dumb people and just as dumb poorer people who are extremely superficial without having the ends to the means.
Basically society and consumism in a nutshell.

I find this part of human interaction really funny.
my accent would put me right down the social ladder.
however I am the boss to a number of very posh spoken managers.
which means when we go any place, they hear me and them and assume they are the boss.
I tend to play along, often with humorous results, as the supplier is now more relaxed with me, they then tell me all sorts of stuff.
I tend to just treat everyone equal these days and not make assumptions.
I know tourists that have been given a lift by the Duke of Northumberland and not realised it lolI have no idea. Rich people imagine they are special but trading dividend stocks is so easy any literate person can do it. It's just about having a strong enough starting position in life to make such investments.
People often say the poor are lazy but anyone with two minimum wage jobs is busting their ass and again trading stocks is easy as hell.Well I don't know they'd judge you for almost everything, they got nothing else to do? i guess. They don't bother to even know the whole story before coming to any conclusions so its better to stay awayyyy from such people.
Certain people judge folks on a lot of things. It is weird, to label people and then argue with their label you created, rather than actually understand their beliefs and their motivations.
But the funny thing is. . . asking folks to actually disagree with each other on the basis of ideas is called being "liberal".
"Strange Days Indeed."Because your social economic class is a big part a reflection of your own skills and ability. Is people like to cry and act like 0.01% of people who inherit a ton of money is everyone but the fact is the vast majority of time your social economic class is a big reflection of your own ability.
Because it's a gradient where you can tell if people will understand and be willing to talk about about money... people with money talk about money, people without money loathe the subject
A rolex says money, a decent pair of shoes says money, a well cut suit says moneyI think it's because there is a bit of gold digger in all of us. Even if you disagree think about what you would do if Bill gtaes was in a bar and started flirting with you, you probably woudlnt let the opportunitie pass even if you aren't attracted to him
People that do are just idiots, don’t worry about idiots like that, they are just not good people if they do that. You should judge a person based on their character and heart not wealth.
That's just one of the many things people notice or judge other people on. A lot of times it's about their comfort level and other times it's about how useful they view the person they're judging would be to them.
Do you mean judge or look up to or down upon? Because judge just means form an opinion. If you have limited information about someone you can assume some unknown information to fill in the blanks and get a better idea of how that person lives their life.
They just do. Some pregudice that people encounter is more a social economic thing than just race. Don't poor white trash people have a hard time of it as well? I am not saying racism isn't real because it is real. Sometimes the reasons for it isn't the obvious
It reflects on a person's ability. I don't expect every young, healthy, and intelligent person to be rich, but I do expect them to be self reliant and capable. People who are not, are useless to society as a whole, and are a economic drain on the rest of us. Mooches, addicts, gang members, etc. We should only take care of our elderly and "truly" disabled.
Just how some are wired I suppose? Beats me, I never socioeconomically dated. If I like them I like them and I have dated all over the economic spectrum.
Systematic brain washing. Most of the time if someone has money they are considered worthless. It's the class system. Except here in the United States. We black folks are at the bottom regardless of how much money we make.
They have become brainwashed and possibly the old halo effect theory.
Its just that scale
You know:
Can I beat you up?
Do I make more money then you?
Is my girl prettier then yours?
A guy has to be able to compete in obe department... LolBecause of tribal instinct left over from humanity's early days. People will judge others for literally anything, if they are in some way different from their self.
You reminded me of the girls parents here, when a man comes to ask for their daughter's hand for marriage, they always start questioning him abour his social status and do not care about other stuff! 😂
What matters to them is the CASH$ only!Because humanity operates in hierarchies as part of our biological programming. Socioeconomical status is a sign of someones place within an existing hierarchy.
Insecure people look for any reason to feel superior to others.
