That they do a necessary job, they they are their own worst enemy.

That when that fuckwit does something stupid, it hits every news outlet around the world.

however Elsewhere someone saving the lives of xx people or catching a major predator or criminal, feature as a sideline in the local paper.

They put their lives on the line to make the world a better place and people are completely thankless in that. Especially at this time, it takes a very strong person to do that job and as an aspiring officer, I hope that I can take the heat and be one of the few who makes the world a better place by countering those who seek to make it worse.

I think police officers are just trying to do their best, of course there's always some bad eggs in any sort of job profession that anybody has. However despite all the recent things that happened with police lately I think overall they are a good to have around.

Mistakes happen dear, nobody is perfect. I think there needs to be changes and preventive measures for something like that happening again by all means yes. However, you can't be critical of an entire organization just based on recent events, I think it's a bit foolish no offense.

Of course you can. If there are a disproportionate number of police brutality incidents towards Black people and less than 1% of cops are calling out cases of police brutality then that makes the vast majority of cops bad, because they are complicit in those actions.

Spazz, put the the knife down and go lookup where officers engaged in misconduct are now, you'll find that almost all of them are in prison if criminal wrongdoing was proven beyond reasonable doubt.

aka reduce funding. divert funding to social services and assistance, instead of supplying police with surplus military equipment

Seattle, Minneapolis and NYC all reduced police funding last year and guess what. Crime sky rocketed and now these cities are spending more money on recruiting police officers. Defending the police doesn't reduce crime , it increases crimes becuase criminals know they have less chance of getting caught .
