Also watch "When they see us" if you want a more vivid explanation. It's a very well explained tv series.

Some cops are sadistic thugs. The problem is, the thin blue line mentality requires every single other officer to allow it and remain silent. That is a fact. And if a cop gets caught committing a crime and the public outcry is so great the cop is indicted, police unions spend unlimited money and influence to defend them, no matter what the crime was.
A small minority of criminal cops ever get caught, let alone see a day of prison. Usually they get a few weeks of paid vacation (leave with pay).
When a cop gets out of line and abuses his authority and beat somebody, that police officer should never be able to be a police officer again. You should also do a little time Behind Bars and let the real criminals have some fun with him LOL just because somebody did something wrong or broke the law does not mean that they have the right to be beaten. I'd like to see the cop taken out and beaten just like he beat somebody. Maybe that will teach him a good lesson LOL

Of course there are some police officers who use excessive force and they should be dealt with harshly. But we must also remember that reviewing the actions of police officers is like being a Monday morning quarterback. It is easy to look back and determine what they should have done but they are making decisions almost instantaneously during the course of an emergency situation.
I hate police officer because my ex is one and secondly when my university was taking out protest due to a Act which creates a huge population stateless. The policeman barged into my university and they caned students. They even entered in the library and brutally beaten the students, entered girls hostel and molested them. Some fractured their body parts, lost their eyes, used tear gas over innocent students, stone pelting, broke infrastructure, broke CCTV cameras and lied about the whole incident. On top of that they abused students on the basis of their religion and called terrorist. They are just puppet of government and I have a facist government ruling over my country. The police has lost respect in my eyes because I saw my friends being hurt by them and also being jailed for no reason. Non -majoritarian religion follower people are afraid of police and government in my country.
Whoa your description sounds a lot like that of JNU. 😁
True True.
Police are supposed to be the people protecting us. But there have been so many events that destroys any trust we have. There are good police officers, but the fact that we allow bad police officers to get away with killing an unarmed individual with maybe getting fired is not acceptable.
I dont like the argument of a police officer "fearing for their life" in these situations either. They know that this is a high risk job. They get paid for a high risk job. If they are more concerned with their own safety over the civilians, then maybe they should not be working the job.
Like everything else, the Media focuses on the BAD, and HYPES it up, for ratings! This is making ALL POLICE look like 'Evil Villains!!"
THEY ARE NOT!! I know most of the ones in my City, and in August, with the Neighbor's Night Out, they visit all the registered parties in the city! They bring the K-9 dogs, and let the children meet them, and pet them, and they just talk to people, like they are, as people!!
The Police in almost every place are GOOD PEOPLE!! They really are there, to "Protect and Serve"!! I know so many, and they would NEVER, EVER do something like happened to this guy!!
He tried to pass a fake $20. Does that make him a 'criminal', or did he just get that, in some legal transaction, and had NO IDEA IT WAS FAKE?
Did the police over-react? I would say DEFINITELY!!! BUT I WASN'T THERE!! WERE YOU?
I don't understand the need for him to be handcuffed, and yet still have a cop kneeling on his neck! That seems wrong!!!
Thing is police brutality could be due to numerous reasons depending on the situation. It could be racism, the police officer liking the sense of power/authority, poorly trained, bad judgement call, or if it's a high stress situation a police officer could react poorly if they have a lack of experience in dealing with situations like that.
I don't think the guy that pressed his knee against the guy's neck wanted to kill him, but I do wonder what his reasoning was. I'm not going to just go off of that video for context because for every story there are different sides and facts we don't know yet about the situation.
Brutality is brutality. It doesn't matter who does it. It's ugly, wrong, disgusting and horrible. You see this everywhere. And the fact hardly anybody do anything who have authority to remove these people of the streets.
Not all of them are like this. But such people are in every industry and people don't see these people. They act this way since childhood mostly, people assume it's normal. Unless They have a record they're never touched and think they can't. Their covert psychopaths who get away with it in the workforce, and don't truly get evaluated. More people and normal individuals better wake up. Like another have said. They are there to protect you, a d so many are just ending lives for np logical reason! If you put then on notice, then you get arrested too? Says a lot. It is not how it was decades ago.
well that's a pretty leading question, don't you think? like who's gonna be like "yeah brutality is great"? xD
You never know.
I support cops 100%. Its time Trump sent in the army to crack schools in Minneapolis to end the riots
It only happens cause they ain't getting popped back.
You gotta change legislation have consequences for cops. As it stand a right now being a cop is the easit job in the world
It's unjust, inappropriate but sadly it exists everywhere.
Bah... just ask the right-wingers here. obviously the cop had no other choice... that thus was breathing in a very scary aggressive manner.
that video is high-quality porn for them
"Police brutality" by definition is a bad thing. Police using force is a part of the job. Police not only have the right to use force they have a responsibility to use force to keep order.
I wish a screaming right winger would get brutalized so the black community would finally have some allies.
I believe it was Ice Cube who once said
"Fuck the police coming straight from the underground!"
I hate police that overuse their authority. They think that just because they have a badge and that uniform they are gods gift to the world... well they’re not.
the cop, who has had many complaints about him before, will finally get what he deserves
This is how I see it all cops are dirty
And if you don't agree with it I don't know what you think
it made a few good rap songs from niggers so i like it, bring on the police brutality, and keep pumping out that dope music niggers, thank u
It’s the shame of the United States
