There is a possibility that the capitol was allowed to be stormed. There are some serious questions yet to be answered, such as, why was the response so fast when BLM people marched in Washington, but the response was so slow, when Trump supporters marched, and attacked the capitol, and injured and killed people. That is why we need a bipartisan investigation of the whole matter. Unfortunately, Republicans blocked a fair, bipartisan approach, because they don't want us to know what happened, and why the rioters were able to manage a successful insurrection.

The problem that sank the deal had nothing to do with fairness. The Republicans realized, and some even said this publicly, that they didn't want the investigation, because it would make Trump look bad.

Perhaps if you were not so politically biased, you would be able to understand the difference between an insurrection and a riot. An insurrection is an uprising against a government, such as the capitol insurrection, that was aimed at stopping the peaceful transfer of power, following the election.

It's weird how BLM was able to destroy multiple cities and the police were often even ordered to stand down.
It's weird how the Capitol building was able to breached. I suspect that anti-Trumpers allowed this to happen in the hopes that Trump would endorse it, which would've ended his movement... which Trump did not. He attempted to order them to go home which largely didn't work.
It was a breach and trespassing on a government building. I think if you tried to accuse someone of insurrection in court they might pull a 'can you prove the motive was insurrection?', which as everyone should know, motive is definitely hard to prove. I would argue it is definitely not as bad as when BLM/Antifa walled off a few blocks of a city and declared full independence from the United States. This action led to cops being threatened by men carrying guns and many dying inside the autonomous zone. Not a single cop died at the Capitol incident or from it. There were only cops injured from being pushed and shot with fire extinguishers etc. To my knowledge the left wing media initially tried to push that cops died but then retracted it, as they were putting their bias before the actual news, which isn't at all surprising.
Whether or not any election is fair is a dubious claim at best. What is a fair election? I don't value elections at all. However, if I did would I consider corporations propping up candidates to be fair? Would I consider a two party system fair? Would I consider the electoral college fair? Would I consider redrawing voting districts fair? There are so many factors that are already not fair. Honestly, what's one more unfair factor? Voter fraud? Foreign countries meddling? The others are ok, but these last two factors are when someone says "This isn't fair!". When has an election ever been fair?
