Also to correct an earlier statement, a lot of alcoholics understand they have a problem, it's addiction which actually is a mental illness, that's why there are people getting help for alcoholism.
Domestic abusers often do not have anger issues for one, but also unless there is other factors at play most know exactly what they are doing, they're manipulative and victimising abusers is counterproductive.
Drugs also alter the brain, a lot of them can cause memory loss not to mention side affects can vary and are not always well known.

It's absolutely true. Most people who say they are trans are not really trans and they usually grow out of it about 80% of the time. Being discouraging causes more of those people not to commit to anything life changing which they could later regret. Those that are sure of themselves will commit in spite of discouragement and we can accept those people. Saying we should encourage transgenderism when 80% of people who say they are like that are not like that... is creepy. You'd rather more people fuck up their bodies so a smaller minority can feel accepted?

When you are 5 or 6, your brain isn't fully developed, just because you wanted to be a boy for whatever reason, doesn't mean you should act on it.
