Why do some women find men with a lot of masculine features unattractive but men find pretty much every women who looks feminine attractive?

Aren't women going against biology? Whether women like it or not beard and muscles=masculine.

Most girls do prefer masculine men but the definition of masculine has evolved a little over the years. I think the reality is that more women who will admit it are bisexual and are far more likely to be so than men. So I think that many women who prefer somewhat less masculine men do so because they are attracted to feminine features but are not willing to admit to themselves that they are bi. I have feminine features and one woman I dated said that she is not lesbian nor bi nor would she ever want to be with a girl yet said that what made her attracted to me was that I had a "soft feminine look."

I'm thinking hyper-feminine women might also be a bit less popular if we're talking extremities. I think most people prefer something that's somewhat opposite of them but similar enough to relate.

With that said, I think a guy like the one in your pic will have little trouble getting dates if he's sociable enough since even though most women don't like something that extreme, the few who do will definitely notice his presence (he'll probably stick out quite a bit from the crowd) and probably be magnetically drawn.

If you want to talk about women and attraction, when you look at history women didn't really need to be attracted to men.

*In early humanity, most of them were just raped. This is why most women have rape fantasies. It is left over from that time period.

*Arranged marriages existed for a long time and still kind of do in some places. This also doesn't require a woman to be attracted to a man.

When you look at humanity it's been very long where a woman really needed to feel attraction to a man in order for sex to take place.

I think women want a combination of masculine and feminine features. They want masculine enough to stand out from being women but not overly feminine to be confused with women. If you stray to far on either side of the spectrum you will probably find less women being attracted to you but I imagine the super masculine guys have it worse than the super fem types.

This type gets the girls and he would be beaten to a pulp against the guy you have pictured - clearly sheer masculinity is not idealized. Nature propped up those guys b/c they could survive but now a different type of guy is desired.

Most women spend a lot of time and money making themselves more pleasant on the eyes where as men might shave/trim their face and put on some deodorant at most. The time and money invested by women into their appearance is not without real world impact.

Not really. Just like some women don’t like over muscled men or very long beard. Some men (and in my case for example) don’t like very skinny girls, very short, very big boobs and sometimes even very long hair.
Some men even like women’s pubic hair.

They do like it but find it intimidating because its not typical in society today. Its also said these men are "abusers" or "dangerous" so its scary. Or they are more masculine women so they like fem boys.
