MORGAN FREEMAN FOR PRESIDENT?

Who would you vote for in the next presidential election if Morgan Freeman got into the race? By the way, we've already had an actor as president and he was very popular and I dare say Morgan Freeman is as smart if not smarter than any, has already been president (in at least one movie that I have seen) and so we have a pretty good idea how presidential he would be, and is sufficiently popular that he could get both sides to any negotiating table just for a chance to get a selfie with him. So, who'd you pick from the following?

Donald Trump

Morgan Freeman

Of the above? Freeman. I have no idea what his politics are, and I know full well that what I've seen of him is a pre-written image, shot and staged to present the best possible angle, but that's not actually much different from any other politician. And up against a buffoonish narcissist and a walking war on the bill of rights, I'd probably take a random person grabbed off the street.

A very valid response. That's the way I felt in 2016. I had to choose between idiot and evil. It was basically a coin toss. A random person off the street would have been better than the two choices then. After the last 4 years I'd have voted for my neighbor's pet hamster. Biden was for me the lesser of two evils. I recently watched a video of Morgan Freeman being interviewed and the topic of race came up and he sounded like someone who could heal the country. I thought he sounded very presidential.

And of those, trump seems to be less physically frail but it's definitely bound to not last.

Also, morgan is way too precious for such a stressful position.
That would be a good thing a decade ago, to be honest, and as a renowned actor, he was already used to the stress lime light. Still better than biden, though.

I just looked at his wiki page. He's 84. I had no idea Freeman was that old. He seems like he's in his 60's. I'm in my 60's and thought he was around my age.

But let's be honest, with him as president, presidential announcements would be way cooler.

Oh absolutely. Some people watch his movies just to hear him narrate. He would make the best speeches.

I agree. I don't think he'd want the job. But he wouldn't be the first one who initially didn't want to be president.

Obama didn’t have much elected experience and be was good. But he graduated from Harvard and worked as a community organizer. That’s pretty good experience.

Not saying there should be more rules before you run, just that voters need to look beyond “who can I have a beer with?” Who gives a shit?

I thought Obama was too inexperienced. He was also the first president born after me. And yes that colored my opinion lol. He made me feel old when he was elected. I do think that a president should have some executive experience. But Trump proved to me that executive experience is not as important as having an ethical compass.

He's doing OK. But I understand how you feel. Trump was so horrible that any average guy comes a long will look very good after that.
