Give me animals over humans anydayš
Do you tend to be more of an introvert or extrovert?
Give me animals over humans anydayš
It depends on the situation. I think I'm an ambivert. In high pressure situations like meeting people in a group, mixing different I tend to spaz out and have learnt to stay quiet. I am very different depending on who I hang out with a chameleon (chamaleon for my more cultured people) if you will. I can be quiet, serious, loud, weird, more touchy or standoffish. Its hard to be all my personalities at once and I just breakdown into nothing. I especially keep quiet when I'm being introduced to mutual friends because I understand my actions reflect on them.
Whereas, if i'm alone I can approach someone and start talking. I tend to wave and smile. If i have the wrong person I don't beat myself up I just laugh it off and don't give it a second thought.
For example I went on a campus tour the other day. No phone no idea what I was doing so I approached a girl and asked for directions. It turned out she was on the same tour as me and we talked the whole time. I asked for her number and social media to keep in touch afterwards and suggested a spur of the moment breakfast. It was amazing and after such a long time in lockdown and being surrounded by people I've known since I was 5 it was refreshing to meet someone new.
Very introverted. My tolerance for people is low, especially if they talk too much.
Now due to my job, I'm forced to be an ambivert in social and work settings. So if you didn't know me, you'd assume I'm an extrovert. However, I just know how to put on a facade when need be; you do what you have to do to pay the bills, lol.
But otherwise, unless I know a person (s), I mostly keep to myself and rather not talk much at all.
Also, animals are so much better to be around than most people... sorry if you disagree, but it's true.
Haha you sound just like me!!! :P
I'm weird.
I'm kind of in the mix.
I'm that cool guy that's quiet at first, kind of reads the room, and breaks the ice with a topic.
Sometimes I don't talk, because I haven't much to discuss.
Sometimes I talk a lot, out of nervousness, or maybe boredom.
I'm not a follower though as much as I'm a leader, I don't let other peoples ideas influence me too much without comparing both perspectives. I'll still consider the others perspective though, because I'm not a stubborn person. But it's okay to disagree and accept each other's differences.
But sometimes I like interacting and sometimes I don't.
I'm also somebody who is still trying to defeat my social anxiety, so large crowds I'm an introvert in, because of PTSD I think. Too hard to read a room with 100 people in it.
Yep, totally get this!!
I am extrovert, however yes I naturally hate people.
it is really a test of commitment to put up enough with me and join our social group lol.
I am naturally ānot quietā as it goes hand in hand with being a Geordie, I donāt think many of us come with volume buttons.
yes that means you get the dislike, like thing lol.
You also get those that make the assumption they are your friend⦠which can be funny at times.
I don't mind being around people that are more talkative than me, it actually helps because sometimes I just go quiet like "err what do I say" š
@thewhisperer lol with out crowd that never happens, there is usually about 6 different conversations going on and you are in about 4 of them with different people.
Itās like inside the bubble is this zone of love and friendship and just crazyness
Haha sounds awesome!! :)
@thewhisperer We used to hang around a few pubs Cambridge etc lol
@chrismaster69 I love your answers
@Tiptoetamm š¤š thank you sweet n sexy girl
Your welcome š
@thewhisperer thank you most appreciated

I definitely find being around people draining, even if I'm not interacting with them and even if they are close family members that I get along with.
It can seem like I don't like them but I legit feel physically fatigued and just want to take a nap.
Which also sucks because I'm terribly lonely and crave meaningful connection at the same time.
Yes this is so accurate!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way! Thanks
Of course not! And no worries :)
I was a huge introvert when I was kid or in my puberty. But around my 16 or 17 I started to be more extrovert and I get a lot of friends. Now I can say that I am something between, maybe more extrovert than introvert. But of course, sometimes I like having time to be alone.
That's good :)
Iām an introvert. Sometimes itās hard to be like that because people often get the wrong impression of me and never get to really know me. They judge on how I look and how quiet I am. Often seen as arrogant.
Yes this is so true!
Yeah people probably think I'm rude sometimes :(
I believe I'm an Introverted extrovert
Shutdown time with the animals is roughly a 3 day cycle. Easy enough for myself. But careful not to TOO DEEP 🙄
.. I'm a construction supervisor , and find I don't really like people. I'm single no children never married and guess I've become intolerant to fake peeps..
The trick is not to stand out on the low days.. different can spook the herd.
Also find keeping the fluids 🍻 up certainly helps when entertaining the masses.. ENTER Mr. Hyde 💥
Even those close to me don't know the real struggle in my headspace. Lucky I like my own company. It's funny how animals are not tainted with the faults of pretenders and users that make up majority of day to day life.
Rock on
I'm an Ambivert. Very mood and situation dependant. If I'm high I will talk anyones ear off and be as bubbly as I am around those I am most comfortable with. Most of the time I keep my head down and don't talk much around unfamiliar people. Sometimes if I'm in a really good mood (not just high) I can have the courage to be extroverted.
Almost every time I take the Myers Briggs personality test, I get INTP, but I'm always just very slightly more introverted than extroverted, like 1-3% more.
I think this is because I don't have any problems socializing, but avoid it for the most part of my life.
I have found myself agreeing in the past but itās all about surrounding yourself with the people you trust as much as you can so you can filter out the a-holes! Xx
This is an excellent reply! The older I've got the more I've realised this and tend to steer clear of those who are negative or don't seem to care about my time! xxx
Thank you š itās very much a glass full or empty equation! Would you have a look at my question I invited you too? Thanks babez xx
Yes I was writing a long ass reply hahaha! Xx
I'm more Introverted. I'll put in effort to be more social In public, but when it's one on one, discussing something I don't care for, or am insecure about, I space out of the present moment.
But talk about a subject that interest me, you won't ever get me to shut up 😅
I'm an introvert but I had to adjust.
Public speaking is no longer a fear of mine and now I've done so many things and had so many adventures that I enjoy telling my stories.
But if I don't have to... I'd stay in my house naked and never leave... until it's time for another adventure.
Oh... being a Dad also means I can't do what I want. It's a constant struggle.
Love you just read my mind your answer is my answer. I joke about that all the time. I am an introvert but due to what I do. I have to be an extrovert, so I have to learn how to master both of them. The best way to master both of them is to say exactly what you just said I laugh about it. That is so true but I deal with it and make it work.
80% extrovert and 20% introvert. I really love being around people but at the same time I hate it because loud noises or talking to too many people at once makes me shut down. On one hand I can sing in front of large or small groups and on the other hand public speaking makes me feel like crying.
Iām a people person. A complete extravert. Covid has put a buttoner on it and Iām quite grateful. Over the year, I realized I value a lot of alone time and not actually engaging in conversation with other unless necessary.
A little bit of both, i can be in a large group of people and having fun and i can have as much fun with one person or two. I agree with you on some people that are dumb AF but at the same time i can shut them down so they can leave me alone.
Definitely introverted. I'd rather stay in the sidelines than be the center of attention. I just burn out way way too quick in social events, usually the first to leave if I'm even there at all.
I'm an ambivert, yes that's a real thing. It's when you feel like you don't quite fit the label of 'introvert/extrovert', but kinda fit both. I like to be surrounded by people, but mostly after a while I just want to be alone again. I like talking to my inner friend group, but talking to other people can be difficult/ annoying.
I'm going to make this really simple for you. A handheld calculator cannot be hacked or preprogrammed. In the same way, animals have simple intelligence that is resistant to corruption. The human mind is capable of a lot, that is its advantage as well as its deficit. Its like this, humans brains are a shag rug... You can fit a lot more dust and crap down in the thatch... Comfy but more care is needed. Most people do not take the responsibilities for their greater capabilities or can become loaded down with mental viruses as children. The Persian poet Rumi beautifully expressed this idea by saying: in some people's home I wipe my feet as I'm leaving. Be someone who everyone must take their shoes off at the door and accept no exceptions! You can help us all be better by your choices, in friends and lovers.
Riiiiight...
Like... How right though, is this sarcasm?
Iām mostly an introvert. Sometimes Iāll adopt extrovert qualities/behaviours, but itās normally not long afterwards that I experience a huge crash.
I am ambivert but I am also starting to hate people. Most of them make small talks and short term fake friends.
I just prefer few close and trustworthy people, I like them. I'm also obsessed with a male fictional character because I hate how men in real life lack BASIC ATTRIBUTES like loyalty, honesty and heart.
Iām an introvert. And to be honest, I detest most people.
Omfg yes. I feel like im a extrovert living à introverted life. But I don't seem to enjoy a lot of peoples company. People sure do suck. I find it's hard to make new friends or pick up women. People are freakin strange species.
More like introverted. But sometimes I feel like I fall somewhere in between.
Introverts are more of a crazy kind
I am an intoverted person... And super shy kinda guy
Extroooooooverted. Partayyy time! Why am I the only one naked here? Partayyyyy!
Both, I'm an ambivert, dedepending on my mood and social context
*depending
I'm an introvert. INTJ if you use Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. But I don't hate all the people. I like some of them. I love some of them. I need some time and space for being alone. But it is good when you can hug your favourite people.
Iām extremely introverted but itās not really by choice I have severe social anxiety lol
I am an introvert for sure being around other people is exhausting
Yes, I feel you!!!
Nope, its hard :(
Totally an introvert. I don't hate other people, I just strongly dislike most of them. I run out of energy trying to deal with people sometimes. But the people I like I can get along with really well.
I am a total introvert. I get drained and would feel restless and not be able to sleep if I were around people especially people whom I do not know too much.
I'm an ambivert.
Oh God, you're one of THOSE people! Though at the same time I get where you're coming from. I see people are the same everywhere. Annoying selfish liars.
You can trade me neighborhoods.
I'm mostly introverted. And I agree with you, sometimes I also just don't want to be among people because they can suddenly turn annoying.
Definitely introvert I only can take so much then I explode.
I'm an introvert but when I'm with people I'm comfortable around I'm the most extroverted person you'll ever meet.
I'm very very introverted.
I don't hate people but I just like my own company than anyone else.
Ambivert. I enjoy alone time but I need to socialize or I go mad.
It usually depends on how I'm feeling, sometimes I'm an extrovert sometimes I'm an introvert. So I'm both.
We think alike in some ways. I don't hate anyone outside my friends, but I can be an introvert in public. I am the opposite online.
I tend to be an Introvert. I like talking to people but when they try to overpower me I back off. it ticks me off.
I am definitely an introvert. I don't mind being in public but I avoid discussion with people unless necessary.
I can do the "extrovert" thing and have given presentations to big audiences, and have had leadership positions requiring force of personality, but I find it exhausts me.
Then you will understand when you're stranded in the middle of nowhere and strangers don't bother to help you.
I'm an introvert, and I don't have many friends but the few I have they are for sure the greatest friends
I am an ambivert, which means that I am an extrovert and a introvert.
Not sure if actual introvert or just scarred and scared of people because of shitty experiences.
Definitely an introvert and it's affecting my life negatively x_x
Oh sorry to hear this :( xx
Thank you :) I might just add - I'm not shy or afraid to talk to people. It just drains me quickly making it hard to keep friends... who wants to be friends with someone who's nice and fun for 3 days and then doesn't communicate for 3 weeks? But that's me. I should be with a sailor lol or somebody who leaves home for extended amount of time.
Iām an extrovert but I go through introvert seasons. Especially when Iāve ran across a number of people that need punched in the throat.
I have social Anxiety so I'm sort of the same, I don't like being in groups especially with People I hardly know.
Some reason mentally I'm with you and agree with ur every word at times I find myself doing a self evaluation to make sure I'm not the cause of such encounters...
I do not like people as I have had more bad experiences. I also have a low tolerance for idiots. (Plenty of those on this planet)! I prefer to spend time alone.
Ambivert.
Can go either way.
Depends on circumstances.
I love talking to people. Most people are nice. There are always some people who get on your nerves.
Introvert. But not your typical introvert. Iām whatās known as an extroverted introvert.
Introvert.
Sometimes like someone talk to me please but then im like ok too much leave me alone 😅
It depends. I'm very comfortable with other people, but I am equally comfortable alone or with my niche groups. I tend to lead in group settings.
I am introvert. I want to chat but it hard with new people and I feel like I holdeing a part of me back alway
Introvert. Most people are selfish, stupid, and annoy me.
Both I think.
I can be extroverted and quite sociable, depending on the social environment I am
Iām an ambivert. Meaning I fluctuate between the two.
I'm definitely leaning toward introverted. I'm firmly convinced that 99.5% of the problems I've faced in my life were caused by other people.
I am 95% extrovert because am a talker and listener and very loud laugher and engaging. I have a presence around people because they literally make me happy. I am 5% introvert because i study people before i over engage
