Do you think that climate lockdowns are next?

Everyone agrees that Covid was a real virus, because viruses are nothing new. But most intelligent people sensed something else going on at the same time; some type of government control that went beyond the pandemic.

Some have said that the governments of the world used the pandemic as a way to test how easy it would be to control the masses. And from what I've seen, it's VERY easy to control the masses.

Are climate lockdowns next?

And just to be clear; I'm not asking if you like Tucker Carlson or FOX news.

I say that the working from home thing for people who can work from home has been a great thing, I said years before the lockdowns that working from home would help cut pollution a lot and it did.

Living out west in a conservative state, lockdown orders didn't mean much here... at least the government ones. What worked was the private businesses requiring masks, which most people respected because you go in without one, your asked to leave.

I fully support property rights, but when Biden took office and signed the EO requiring masks on all federal property, I was actually chased down by a ranger in the middle of freaking no where and told I had to put a mask on... oh geez, middle of the desert 20 miles from anyone and I have to wear one? or the mountains... what kind of old geezer does that kind of EO, seems he could of said if there isn't room for social distancing masks are required.

I know people around here that died from covid, lots of them actually... but I think it should have been a more targeted approach and lockdown, rather than everyone.

They knew early on, elderly and those with certain conditions were more likely to die from it. Rather than lock everyone down, should have said that at high risk get the government aid and go on lockdown and stay home, everyone else considers business as usual.

Not only would that have saved Trillions in cash, but it would of stopped all the political manipulation. There was several gun shows scheduled here, that the liberals said too risky, all cancelled even though they allowed even more crowded events to happen before and after the gun shows... so now we all see this as political moves rather than trying to help people.

I remember when someone in congress was questioning Fauci and trying to get him to say that it wasn't safe to attend protests and riots. He refused to say boo about that.

I'm sure some of the really crazy politicians will try it, but virtually everyone will ignore it.

The real reason politicians in the US support lockdowns is because the large mega-corps can shrug them off while it puts their smaller competition out of business. The shutdowns also see a very rapid and harsh divide in wealth gap, artificially creating a very definitive "elite" while destroying the middle class, forcing as many people as possible into dependence on the government for basic necessities. This is extremely noticeable in California state policies, and the Democrats in power right now claim they want to use California as a blueprint for the rest of the nation going forward.

In regards to the climate, it's also very obvious that at least in the US, very few proposed laws on the subject would actually have any positive impact, and a lot of them really just move current problems into a different problem (if you think electric cars are a good idea, you should probably research what lithium mining does to the environment, as a start). Like many subjects, laws pertaining to fighting the weather are mostly just excuses to put money in certain people's pockets at the expense of taxpayers "for an important cause that is bigger than all of us."

New York and California are already telling their residents to cult back on electricity usage. They will probably black out their states to hide the results of the election audits and use climate change as an excuse.

Something has to be done to combat climate change and environmental damage. And the longer we continue to do nothing the harsher these measures will have to be.

I have no problem staying within my carbon allowance, but do you really think for a minute that the rich and famous will abide by the same rules?

Why does Al Gore need four mansions? He's he Al Sharpton of climate change.

Yes, they have to.

They might not notice carbon taxes as much, but whenever they fuel their plane or sportscar or boat, they pay their share to get the carbon out of the air again.

How do they get the carbon out of the air?

Plants. Is the direct way.

Trees, Algea, Flowers, Fern, ... They all absorb CO2 from the air, and convert it into Carbon and O2, during photosynthesis. Carbon is than used to build the cells for wood, leaves, fruit,... and the O2 is just a waste product for them which is released into the air.

An indirect approach would be to invest the money into renewable energies, or local and CO2 neutral businesses that don't have a high CO2 footprint.

And do you think the government will use all of this new tax money to plant vegetation?

Nobody will pay any attention to this. Nobody is telling me I cannot run my A/C on a hot day. And you just know that the politician's office is set at 68 degrees.

I remember near the beginning of the Covid hoax where the city shut off power to businesses that didn't comply with the lockdown orders. I honestly don't see how Americans could survive another lockdown, so I sure hope they get rid of Fauci and stop China from coming up with Covid-20.

People estimate 100,000,000 will be refugees caused by climate change. Seeing how well we deal with current man made war refugees of 12,000,000 being borderline crimes against humanity, the climate change refugees are going to be unspeakably terrifying.

I still don't know what your answer is to my question.

Basically the values of reacting and preventing.

Democrats are more preventing. Have the lockdowns so 100,000,000 won't die. So in the end of it only 600,000 died. It's also hard to explan how small efforts today will translate into a better outcome before its out of hand.

Republicans are more reactionary. 100,000,000 climate refugees are on our borders and make the tough call killing them all. I am biased but that's my best metaphor.

So with my biased opinion i prefer the prevention option. So tackle all the climate change now before reactionaries have an argument.

yes I do, if not now in next year or so. They like putting small businesses out of business and that is half of the jobs , so that would make half the people dependent on the gov't and many votes.
