Why are black people sentenced more time than white people?

I’m black and just curious. Things in this world are changing and it’s important that we love each other equally. It’s not about skin color but the justice system disagrees with us. Why are blacks sentenced more time than whites

Depends on the circumstances.
But, for what I could gather, for the most part it's lack of attenuating factors.

Just coming from a single parent household can greatly increase your sentence compared to a two parent household. Your parent's history also counts for a lot.
Just coming from a high crime neighborhood can have the same effect.

Basically, what ever people learned that increases re-incidence is likely to increase your sentence. And inner cities are filled with those backgrounds. And American blacks disproportionally occupy those places.

Judges are almost all white, systemic racist runs deep. In California if you are white and caught with cocaine you have a 10% chance of going to jail, if you are black it’s 90% for the same charge. It’s not just race, rich people get away with way more crime than poor people.

I think that’s a really reductive way to look at that. There’s a large amount of black judges, and they are every bit as likely if not more so to hand out harsh sentences to black criminals. It’s deeper than that.

Talking about USA,
30% of black population is responsible for 50%of shooting... Significantly black kids aren't graduating high school... They're shooting each other significantly at higher rate...

After all Single motherhood in black community jumped from 20% to 70% percent...

The agression of cops in America (also applicable for white , 70 year old white mother brutally beaten up in public last month)... and after all so called racism of society... but it isn't the only thing...

Likely a combination of 1) repeat offender, 2) unskilled attorney, 3) severity of crime. Look at people like Bill Cosby and OJ. They paid for good attorneys and got next to nothing while committing extremely serious crimes. They are Black. What did they do different than the average Black person that is arrested? They hired very skilled legal teams and they had little to no criminal history and a good public reputation.

According to BJS Blacks have the highest rates of recidivism and Whites have the lowest rates. Men have higher rates of recidivism than women.

Wealth has a lot to do with it. When there’s a disparity in resources between races, there’s bound to be a disparity in the application of justice between races. This is further exacerbated in inner cities, where communities are segregated and excessively policed. Then there’s the fact that people of higher positions are just more likely to empathize with white people than black people, which is just a reality that most people don’t want to admit.
