They hate profits being made that they can't control, i. e., being made by companies or business owners that don't share their ideology and aren't funding leftist organizations and politicians. They also hate small businesses because they give their owners the chance of being outside of leftist control and because a number of small businesses are family businesses, and leftists hate intact families that aren't dependent on government funds controlled by leftists.
