I think David Pakman is pretty factual and objective although more an emphasis on factual reporting than actual leftist priorities. Listening to him will not give you a major insight into what the left-wing is doing but rather a left wing perspective on current events which might be what you are looking for.

if it is a left wing source then why should it even be objective?
I am not sure about American news since I am European, but what I do to be best informed is to not follow single news sources but some different ones. And if there is referred to another source then looking up the original.

CBS news personally I hate to think its really leftist. They said in college that BBC was the least biased. One thing I noticed being from England they don't have loyalties towards our politicians so they don't mind criticizing either side
