No, white people cannot experience racism. Any group of people can experience racial prejudice or discrimination. However, racism refers to that prejudice in addition to the socialized power structures at play. So, not everyone can experience the racism that Black people do
Today more then ever, everyone scream for diversity so they want to find the golden calf but now it can't be white and especially not a man too. Instead of tolerance we are having a race towards having the weirdest collection of people. Which means chaos.
Yes I do. Blacks shout racism every time but given the opportunity, they would be four times worse.
If it was blacks running things, they would have killed every white person because of envy or jealousy.
Racism doesn't exist in the real sense. People just try to blame others for their misfortune.

No. They are proven to have preferential treatment, control basically the entire government, make the laws, own all the businesses, and make more money. White people do not deal with racism anywhere near the degree of literally everyone else. They just whine more.
You say that as if all white people want to talk to black people. Plenty of times I went into a store and saw a white cashier being friendly & talkative to several white customers but silent when my turn came. It varies by city & state tho. When I was in Atlanta I didn't see white people being mistreated by the majority black population. Most people of all races try not to be assholes.
Considering that certain groups make it out to be that people can't be racist towards whites - I would go so far and say whites experience more racism as a group than other races, because they are not deemed worthy of protection from racism for whatever ideological reasons.
Not really. They’re privileged, they’re the beauty standard, and they usually never financially struggle like most of us poc do. I know some of those folks aren’t bad people and try their best to educate themselves on the things now a days thankfully, but the systematic and generational racism that have been implemented into them will probably never be removed from them unless they unlearn everything.
no, but every side is bound to get some form of racism. on ur point about not wanting to talk to others, i've seen schools where there aren't any white kids or where there aren't any black kids even tho segregation isn't a thing. some people hav lived in certain communities their whole lives so of course they'll b a little unsure of other communities, even tho it's ultimately unjustified & all of us share things.
They're not nearly as hated as everyone else. Not all white people (so nobody comes at me) are racist of course but the ones that feel like they're being hated are upset about how their ancestor's years of wrongdoings are catching up to them. They're doing anything to rebel and complain so they feel special and can start a movement of their own. Anything to stay in power and the center or attention.
So since Black people enslaved their own and sold them to the English and French, you think it is okay to mistreat the Irish and Germans that make up the majority of White people in the USA?

I’m black and lately I’ve found more black people being racist. Always calling Caucasian people out of their names and making jokes about it as if joking makes it ok. in my opinion some black people love to use the race card and it has gotten old.
The white people who talk about racism all the time and how much they care about people of other ethnicities actually have ZERO contact with other ethnicities and live in an all-white neighborhood and only want to try to seem like they are not racist to impress their other elitist white friends.

If anything, it’s more. It’s micro aggressions and discrimination in employment, business, government spending and contracting, and college admissions, whereas other group just have to deal with “micro aggressions”.
More, everybody on the planet wants to blame all their problems on white people, every other race as a matter of fact. That’s why I just don’t give a flying fuck about minorities and their whiny ass problems any more.
White people can face racism in their daily lives, but there can be no systemic racism against whites.
Yeah but that’s because the system was built by the founding fathers and immigrants who moved over to America who were white. It is what it is but It was never built for white people only they just happen to be the ones who took over the land. So its not really right to call that systemic racism because we dont put blocks in the system to segregate minoritys anymore
@Nick473 Previously, blacks were not allowed to ride on the same bus with whites. Fortunately, these days are in the past. But today blacks are stopped and searched by the police for no reason. A white person needs to do something to arouse suspicion, and a black person just needs to be black. Isn't this systemic racism?
I'm a mixed girl and I think this whole thing with systemic racism is blown way out of proportion.
Slavery was a long time ago we have been free for so long it's almost irrelevant in my opinion.
I mean I'm not slave, my mother wasn't a slave , my grandma wasn't a slave. It's been so long I just think it's time to forget about it. The thing is that it isn't racism that black men are suspects they just need to act all disrespectful and "gangster" if they aren't gonna be profiled acting like this what are they gonna be?
I agree that the situation is better now than in the 60s. But for example, the owners of the NBA teams (where the players are almost all black) are white. Or major rap music labels are also owned by whites (although this trend was invented by blacks). Or look at the Forbes list, there are very few blacks out there. This is all a product of systemic racism.
@ktttt im glad those days are behind us aswell but i wouldn't call that systemic racism. It doesn't have to do with the system or everyone else. Thats what reverse racism is. Cause now your blaming white cops instead of an individual cop
You do realize that blacks had freedom in the turn of the 19th century right?
Businesses being owned by whites isn't racist. Money itself is a privilege you don't have any privilege based on skin color it's all about money.
It doesn't matter who owns the nba teams. Its not racism just because they are white. They probably take pride in there black athletes but your only viewing it through the lense of racism
This is how they trick you to become socialist. They make you view everything through the lense of racism even when its not and than they can make laws to take peoples property and redistribute wealth to the few up to while the rest of us struggle to survive without capitalism

But until the 60s of the 20th century, racial inequality was directly spelled out in the laws of the southern states (the laws of Jim Crow), and the practice of lynching blacks (execution without trial) stopped only during the second world war.

I know but nobody wants that anymore. And i know there is still an effect from the past but its not racism. They just dont have the role models and the support to teach them the way they should go. They kill eachother in high numbers, abort there children and have fatherless family’s. Its a viscous cycle and a cop pulling them over is the least of it

I understand that these are all little things, but all life consists of such little things. Black people are forced to live in a world that is made for whites.
No Thats capitalism. If most people had curly hair than things would switch and that would be on the more comfortable shelf.

@ Nick473 Same logic. You justify everything with capitalism. But capitalism is beneficial to the privileged section of society. Black people do not have privileges. Black people are less financially secure (for historical reasons), so they are second-class people for capitalism. It turns out that instead of legal segregation came economic segregation. I may be overreacting, but in general the situation is like this.

I agree that thats an issue because of the past. But we can't blame it on todays white people. What i disagree with most is that we should become socialist and take away reward from hardworking people. I think there are ways to help the black communities without harming the rest of society but there are current issues that are hindering them from getting ahead and its nothing to do with racism
Such as the fatherless homes (huge financial implications), the education system, the violence, drug abuse etc it all plays a role
The quota system is systematic racism against the white man.

@BillyBalls Positive discrimination is a way to achieve equality. This does not mean racism towards whites.
I dont think its always ideal, and there's food stamps and unemployment for the people that need it but i think it is fair because no one should be owed money because of there skin color

Like when they bailed out black farmers who were struggling but not white farmers who were struggling aswell. It should have been about struggling farmers but they made into color and neglected people who were in the same boat

Yeah, no farmers no food. Most of them are in debt. Its very hard to be a farmer today
@Nick473 I agree, but it so happened that mostly black people live in bad areas. And it was not by chance that they found themselves in this position. Those who are to blame for this situation have long been dead. But the problem remained. And if white people continue to ignore the racial problem, then all this will lead to terrible consequences.
I get it but at the same time we can't just throw money at them. Cause there not nessisarily gonna do the right thing with it. Poor grow up poor, middle class grows up middle class and the rich grow up rich. Its the example that they have been given to follow and not just with finances but also with there choices, relationships, how they treat others and morality.

Many of those systemic racist policies also happen against Asians in the USA too.
Maybe not as much as other races considering that at least in America it’s 70% white. But there are definitely people who put down white people just because they’re white. Which is literally the definition of racism.
Maybe some people are like that but not everyone is like that. You're always going to find racist or prejudiced people no matter their skin color

I suppose so but that would be going to an area known for high crime rates anyway. Not just a place with regular crime rates but yet facing such bad fate just for the color of my skin. On the bad side of the tracks it's literally known for been high in crime so i would expect most people there face some sorta beating or getting shot anyway regardless of color.
That would be a difference i think between them both. But you are right like example of Eminem was beaten multiple times for the color of his skin. But he did again he lived in poor high crime area's anyway.
