I don’t think one gender has it easier than the other, both genders faced different pressures by society. Whether we hate it or not we have to conform to those standards or else we will feel like an outcast. Saying men or women have much easier lives are completely false

I think it's mostly just venting. A person can understand intellectually that the grass is always greener on the other side, but it doesn't FEEL that way when you're looking at your side's brown and patchy grass.

But when the grousing ends and the calls for entrenching or expanding discrimination in favor of the advantaged, it grates.

Well, men and women are different. Men and woman have different strengths and weaknesses. Men and women EACH have certain aspects of life that are harder and some that are easier but it would depend on what specific aspect you are discussing.

i understand their frustration or problem. Thing is, women have to deal with a lot. The only issue I would have is her wanting to be with me and complaining about it all the time. Men have to deal with a lot, as well. The only people with easier lives are those born into money.

For women, society expects them to be body hair free (in the West more often than in Asia), to have an hourglass body, have a cyborgian face (to achieve those features plastic surgeries are needed to get that face), big boobs, flat stomach, big butts, a pretty face, no imperfections (which is impossible since most pictures are photoshopped on Instagram or on magazines). In the USA, women have a much easier life than men. Society caters to women.

Here in Singapore the laws protect women, but women’s pay were lower compared to men, things like shampoo, razor, etc are more expensive but men’s items are cheaper, the truth is society cares about women much more than men that’s why they’re trying to change that by making equality a reality. Guys here are more likely to commit suicide and have mental health issues
