In regards where some of you say "oh, your problem is with women wanting your money? don't give them any" Apparently there are very many women, who are gold diggers and they want our money. Imagine refusing paying for them or giving your money to them. Then they transform into a nasty one and call us greedy, cheap, whatever.
Why do women think, that men have it easier or better in life?
I don't think men have it easier in developed countries but historically men have definitely had it easier. I believe women have caught up in most areas but sometimes women are just not satisfied because people want more and more. Women in developed countries are now used to getting helped and they continue to want perks to make life even easier. In underdeveloped countries, women are still in much need so guys for the most part have it easier. That being said, women use guys for money only if guys lead with money and/or if guys allow that behavior. I truly believe most guys are smart enough to tell if a girl just wants the money but they get too hooked on a girl's attractiveness. It's kinda like girls being used for sex, sometimes getting raped and impregnated and left alone. Rape still happens very often in college, and the vast vast majority of the time it's happening to women. Do I think women should be safer? Absolutely but I also absolutely think it would be nicer if men just stopped raping. Do men risk their lives more? Absolutely and it's their choice and that's not an excuse to rape. Also, men really should protect women if they have the strength to, and I believe most men will even agree with me. Are you really going to let someone 4 times weaker than you risk physical harm for you? Have me and my sisters been raped? Thankfully not with intercourse but we have been sexually assaulted multiple times. Do I know that me commit suicide way more often? Yes and that's awful and this should be acknowledged as well. I actually really think it's an issue that people don't want to help out men as much because there are still plenty of men struggling physically and mentally. But you make it sound like women have it much easier. There are plenty of women who have to worry about if she'll be safe from physical harm each week and sometimes each day. Would men rather have that? I doubt it. Again, I don't think men have it easier than women in most areas in developed countries but they don't have it harder. It just might seem harder because society has gravitated towards helping women. I really believe most men will agree with me on this too but feel free to disagree.
I don't think that. I do think that you're lucky as hell to not have to bleed out of genitals for a large amount of your life, that really sucks. Also, I think you're pretty lucky to not have to grow a child inside of you until it tears its way out of your genitals for the future of the species. Other than that, I think the majority of us all have it pretty bad, and some of us have a really terrible life. I just hope that I never end up in a seriously terrifying situation.

Partial Solution to the problem: Become childfree. Get sterilized. The biggest problem I have is being seen as a wallet on legs. Lots of "girls" intending to take advantage of our resources or free meals but not intending for real relationships. I know, it's easy enough to weed out gold diggers and then be called a cheapskate by them. Fair enough, you girls deal with pick-up-ers, who are only after having sex. These too can be weeded out easily.
A bunch of women, including myself, are with you all the way on the solution to literal reproduction, it's why we use birth control. Some of them help with menstruation, but sometimes they can have weird side effects. And we can't all get sterilized, it would probably become the end of humanity. And I don't think we can start the menstruation altering birth control until we're near adulthood or after adulthood.
As for gold diggers, you are very correct, those women do exist. In fact, I think many women do what you're talking about at least once in their life, use a guy for a free meal. Some relationships start that way, and other times, a woman doesn't like the guy during the date, but still uses him for in the future.
There are a bunch of dead beat guys too, but there are definitely more women using men for money.
On the relationship level, we seem to have a much higher incident of being raped by men. On my campus, we get alerts every time there's a rape, and it happens way more often than I would have ever assumed, like more than once a week. I'm not saying that guys don't get raped, especially in prison, but I'm talking about normal interactions, like in clubs, bars, parties, or off of dating sites.
I don't think there's a real remedy for gold diggers, it may be related to supply and demand. There's a high demand for a woman's attention, and it's sad to me that some people take advantage.

Most guys have trouble understanding women who complain about getting sexual attention because we wish we could get half of the attention she gets. Meanwhile, she's standing over there thinking about how lucky he is to have people get the f#*$ off his back about everything.

As a kid, I used to wish I was a girl because of how close they could be with other girls. Guy relationships seemed to last longer more because we all kept each other at arm's length.
Now, and this might be weird, I a little jealous of how pretty they get to be, often without having to do much special. I could go work out for ages and dress to the nines and people would be like "oh look. A guy who just isn't ugly." I gained weight because I felt immasculine being thin. So yeah I'm a little jealous of the fact that I could have just been skinny me, focus on my weird hobbies and not having to reach out and approach boys, and relationships would still just show up to me. Perhaps that's an oversimplification, but it's exactly that kind of oversimplification that has us thinking the other has it better.
It's the differences and double standards that cause most of this. I wish we could just focus on that without having to infuse grandiose narratives and broad political stances into it.

Women literally could not open a credit card without a man until 1974. They were legally allowed to get cut from a job until 1980 for pregnancy, wanted or not. It wasn't until 1993 that men were able to take off for parental leave. The status quo discriminated against men, but really it gave men a hall pass to keep passing on the childbearing buck to women. Now men could gasp be equally present for the first 3 months of a newborns life.
In 2007 the lily fair pay act was passed that said you had to pay men and women the same wages. You literally have to write that down because people didn't and by a long shot. Tbh the HR systems are still fucked where they will deliberately open differently titled positions, but it means that more useless women actually have a Shot at useless entry level dead end jobs like everyone else.
In 2013, they finally let stay at home spouses (predominantly women) claim their spouses assets (ahem aren't things supposed to be shared in marriage) to open their own fucking credit card account. When you break up and your spouse has every account documented in his name you, can't even last 1 week because you need legit $10 food or gas. your spouse can stop any card in their name from the tab of their phone and people really are that vindictive that they care about $50 more than why someone claims to be 'scared' at home.
I'm curious to see what the 2020s bring. I want more paternity leave so that men can actually walk the walk. They want to raise the kid? They thinking staying at home is 'easy?' It's not a gender thing, it's a task like any other, you get better over time. I want men to be the role models they wanted to have. We just need a society that supports then taking the time off to do it.

I mean like this is what happens when you agree to becoming a housewife or a financial hostage of your (male) spouse. Strong and independent women don't have to deal with any of that 😉 and if they do, they'll find a way out. If that means cutting out toxic relationships and kick the excuse of a man out of her life, then that's what they'll do.

I don't remember the exact reason why it was scrapped but I'd imagine that it was because women, given that they are human beings, racked up such an insane amount of debt because they were spending money that wasn't theirs.
Complaining about something totally optional such as buying women drinks at a bar, is not a valid complaint in terms of surviving as a man as your survival doesn't depend on this (gay men for example). If I complain about a period, I don't have a choice to stop that and if one intends to have bio kids, you don't have the option to just not physically have them by way of pregnancy and all the crap that does with it. If you're complaining about men's mental health or toxic masculinity, all valid complaints as these are largely out of your control as they happen to you, and you can't just stop them by choice.
It is understandable for you as a man to complain about what men go through because you understand it 100% from the male perspective. The same goes for women vice versa, but to claim that no woman would ever be able to survive or to basically completely dismiss the issues women have with being women as if they are nothing as compared to a man is dismissive at best, and completely ignorant at worse. Both genders have issues. They all suck. Not every man or women can handle what they have now on their plate being them.

Yeah, that's fair enough. I actually agree with you on that. My point being is that those women will wish to turn back into a woman once they experience life as a man (for at least 1 week or month. That depends when they lose their minds as we do - little hint: toxic masculinity. Which I am *fortunately* no part of).
Men definitely have it easier. There’s less pressure on them to look good. They don’t have to wear makeup, they don’t have to spend tons of money getting their hair styled or getting their nails done. They can go to work and go about their day feeling confident that they’re not gonna be bullied just for being unattractive. They can be a little chubby and women are still going to think it’s cute that they’re cuddly like a bear.
For women, they’re never gonna be good enough. They are criticized by everybody, even their own partners. I’ve been bullied at work for being ugly, I’ve been bullied by random people out in public because I’m ugly. I’ve been bullied by my own friends for being ugly. My partners have nitpicked everything. If my bra and panties don’t match, that’s a problem. If the whites of my eyes aren’t sparkling bright, that’s a problem. If my fingernails aren’t long enough, that’s a problem. If my butt is too fat or not fat enough, that’s a problem. Women can’t go through life without being judged. They miss out on jobs if they’re not pretty enough. They get paid less if they’re not pretty enough. They die old and alone because they’re not pretty enough

Alright bro I know exactly where you are coming from. However don’t open these questions with incel memes and scant details. If it makes you feel better you are correct. However you have to first let the opposing party (women in this case) know that you have thought about their position.
In the grand scheme of things women often grossly underestimate how much power they have with their sexuality. It doesn’t help that western feminism constantly brainwashes them into thinking that they are “victims”. I don’t know how we fight that but (hate to get political) I recommend to first never vote for leftists.
Anyway when approaching gender hot button issues like this I first acknowledge the advantages I have as a man. I am usually not afraid to walk outside by myself at night. I don’t have to shave my body. I usually get more respect when I am leadership situations. People are more likely to pay attention to me when I do public speaking (both genders don’t respect higher pitched voices as an “authority”). . I am fine being independent and a “lone wolf”. Etc.
But when it comes to many life issues (especially dating) women inherently have a built in advantage when all else equal. Most don’t even realize it and the few that do usually exploit it.
As men we got to be tougher when dealing with women in these scenarios. Much tougher. That is to have self respect and call out women who disrespect us. That is tell him how you feel and then be ready to walk away and never look back. Some guys are naturally good at this. But many (including my younger self) were brainwashed to kiss women’s asses. That needs to stop.

I don't think neither gender has it easier than the other, but to some extent, I feel like men do have it a little easier than women.
Let's be real, both genders have their own problems and complications and they should not be invalidated. But, men are paid more. Men aren't held accountable enough for when they rape or assault a woman - whereas a woman is hated on and blamed for being a victim. Women are told they should "dress down" in order for things like that not to happen. But you never see anyone telling men not to rape.
When men are serious at work, they're labelled as hard-working. When women are serious at work, they're seen as bitchy or mean. When men have sex, its completely normal. When a woman has sex, she's seen as a slut.
Society has more unachievable standards of beauty and appearance for women than men. I could go on and on.
If not paying for a woman or giving her money makes her extremely angry at you, it means she's not a good person. Someone who only cares about money, regardless of their gender, is not a good person. So just find someone who isn't money-hungry i guess?
In conclusion, I think we all have our problems and in some aspects, men have it easier than women, and in other aspects maybe women have it easier than men. But when you look at the entire situation as a whole, you can't help but feel like men really do have it a little easier than women.
Some of the claims about "men having it easier" you listed are a bit dubious, but I get the general sentiment about both genders having their own issues. We should be cooperating on those issues as a unified collective, rather than picking and choosing which issues to champion and ignoring the other side's issues.

In fact some of the most respected colleagues and bosses I've had were women. If anything, those female colleagues were more likely to be undermined or harassed by CUSTOMERS than by employees, the men I've worked with have been protective and swift to act when a female colleague is under any kind of duress from customers. But that's just my experience, I think this issue of "respect in workplace" is very situational, and will be flavoured by your particular life experience in different workplaces and/or vocations. I don't think it's nearly as widespread a problem as the feminist narrative makes it out to be though. Everyone I know gives respect to colleagues who work hard and turn up on time and are easy enough to get along with. I've never seen someone think less of a colleague because of that colleagues gender.

I feel like you do because you guys aren’t fueled by emotions.. of course I’m speaking on the guys who don’t behave like those of the opposite gender. Also, when has a man ever been degraded, humiliated, etc.. for being a parent, or for being a single parent? When is the parental responsibility solely on men? It seems like men can create children and not feel a thing towards them. Men can do whatever they like and nobody questions it.. men can whore around and nobody cares.. their job title gives them respect, men are generally respected more than women no matter what job they have. But this is just some of the things.. not even the things that matter…
Oh and no matter what scenario you add the two genders together, everything is the woman’s fault… men don’t know accountability… I’ve never met a man who’s held himself accountable and that’s even the “decent” ones.. they’ll somehow always blame the woman… for example “daddy issues” is blamed on the women when MEN are the shitty parent.. “find better men” “you laid with him” all to take the blame of men
To me it seems that it's a grass being greener situation, both sides know that the other side doesn't truly understand the struggles they face throughout every day. We have status within our genders and cannot act certain ways without being ostracized by our peers.
There are so many valid points made in this topic, that's awesome.
It seems that the only way we can overcome the friction caused by it would be to admit and accept that we're different both physically and mentally, and that's okay. Let's just focus more on the things we can get along on.
Because for the most part women are children in adult bodies.
There are exceptions to every rule but precious few to this one. Since they are, generally speaking, children in adult bodies they reason at the level of a child ignoring objective facts and reality and observable evidence to the contrary of such a supposition based solely on how they feel about the matter at that moment.
Meanwhile, I’m still waiting to hear someone say: “men and children first” the next time a disaster occurs and an area or vessel has to be evacuated.

I think because women get underestimated, used for sex, are more likely to get kidnapped, murdered, and raped, some people believe our place is in the kitchen, our voices don’t seem to matter with the opposite sex, and a lot more on this long list of why being a woman is harder. I’m not saying men don’t have it hard, I’m just saying, at least people listen to you guys.
We have higher beauty expectations, body standards, men try to have a say in somethings that have absolutely nothing to do with them, such as abortion, and we get judged for breastfeeding or any other thing that comes natural, like having breasts and showing them. Or even having legs and showing them. Having to keep pepper spray and a pocket knife on you whenever you go out at night, fear of hanging around a bunch of unfamiliar men, etc etc, all the great things that happen when you are a woman. 😊
Given the fact that male stippers exist and that hookup culture is a big thing nowadays, I'd imagine the use for sex is pretty mutual between the sexes.
As far as kidnapping goes, according to the FBI in 2019, overall more males go missing than females (311k males and 298k females) the thing is the younger the female is the more likely for them to go missing while the reverse is true for male but the difference is about the same as overall.
The FBI in 2019 also states that men are also more likely to be murdered (11k males and 3k females).
Rape is a complicated topic in terms of statistics because if it's definition. Up until 2013 men couldn't even be considered victims of rape and even now, the definition still doesn't count if a man was forced to initiate sex with a man or a woman.
Maybe some people actually believe that women belong in the kitchen but that doesn't mean you must obey them.
The voice not mattering as much to the opposite sex seems to be pretty mutual when we take your opinion on men having an opinion on abortion into account. For the record, I think abortion is morally wrong but being a libertarian I know top-down solutions never end well regardless of the issue.
I'd say the appearance standards are the same. Men feel insecure about their height, weight, hair and upper body strength all the time.
Breastfeeding in public is what people tend to have issues with and it's a reason of whether or not it should be considered public indecency or not. The legs part isn't a thing anymore.
I take a pocket knife with me in case things go horribly wrong. Hell, I'm all for open carry for that very reason. In fact, there have been reports showing that men are thrice as likely to be attacked by strangers than women are. I guess the reason you don't see a lot of men complain about it is because they feel more confident in their ability to defend themselves.
the grass always looks greener from the other side.( it one of the reasons I chose my name. I like giving and receiving info from both sides of the fence) if you're honest about it. Most people's grass is just as fucked up as yours. they are just really good at hiding it.
Same could be said for guys thinking we have it so easy. Both sides have different sets of challenges. You only focus on the ones your side doesn't have come to them so easily and overlook the ones that do.

A man can take a boat into a ocean and do fishing til he die. A women needs a man period. A women alone in a boat finishing doesn’t match doesn’t sit right. Does my story means men have it easier? No. But it means men have balls to stay alone and can be happy alone. So it’s more like a jealousy lol
I don't think that men have it easier or better in life and I have never thought that but I get alittle confused sometimes about what some men are expecting from us. Some men complain if we are too independant and self sufficient as not being tradtional enough and then for women who are less finaicially independant and looking for a bread winner they are called gold diggers.

Is it possible that it's just different men making such conflicting claims? Gender is not a monolith, some of us find self-sufficiency attractive in a woman, some of us don't, and others are kinda just indifferent about it. Kinda like how some women say they like men to show emotions and have a sensitive side, while other women just want the macho man to bring home bacon and never shed a tear. Different people want different things. Then again, when the SAME person appears to hold two contradictory sets of beliefs (eg: "I like women who fuck on first date" *woman fucks on first date* "omg what a slut, she's damaged goods!"), that's where things start to get WEIRD.

It’s all about society. In general, being a man is easier. But society has catered to women for so long that many don’t know what it’s like to live without female privilege. I’ve seen it in the workplace, I’ve seen it in the courts, and in general day to day life. The majority of women will never know what it is like to be assumed guilty, be cheated on then forced to pay child support or alimony, be completely ignored, considered creepy, fired for a single offense, reported to HR, denied jobs or scholarships for their race or gender, etc.
We all have different challenges whether we're male or female. Society makes you feel just because you're a man you can't express emotions. Men need to know they can reach out for help, toxic masculinity shouldn't be a taboo stupid.
I take it your opinion that men have it harder comes from your experience of trying to live as a woman?
Men and women have totally different challenges and support systems. Who has it harder is a matter of perspective, but so long as the law treats everyone equally, that's really all that matters in form of government regulation.
I don't think that life being easier or not is quite that easy to measure.
There's enough suffering going on in the world that is dealt out without any stipulation of gender being involved, but a whole lot of it is caused by people who don't care much about the consequences of what they do--so I'd say that they are the ones who have it the easiest of all.

It is the opposite. And you know it. There are many men here who are just miserable and have weak mindset. They are always asking questions from ‘’their hidden accounts’’ and answer questions from their hidden accounts. They have a pussy envy that needs to be treated. They do not even have one opinion about that How females seen as inferior to men in many countries. I think they do not even go out. They just complain and complain.
Because women are trapped in the past and can’t look towards the future. They have to keep themselves as the oppressed ones or they stop recording special treatment. They don’t know how not to live life on easy mode. It’s all women know. Have the men pay for them for everything. Do everything for them, etc and still they look down upon said men as if they’re these ungrateful queens looking down upon a peasant who must do their bidding
Generations before mine men were pretty much not allowed to have feelings if they did they sure as hell couldn't show them. But even today it's still men are taken for granted because they are expected to be a rock. A rock doesn't have feelings. If you ever meet a man who says he doesn't cry just know you met a liar.
Feminism really spent a lot of time pushing the idea that women are oppressed and being held down by men in society. You have to understand that women have spent a long time being treated like birds in cages. Things to be stared at and at the cost of that easier life, they lose autonomy; so their normal is a privileged status. So women look at men and think we are used to being doted the way they are, but that we also have freedom.
There's hardships and challenges on both sides. I know how it is as a man and can only try to understand what women go through. As for one gender having it easier than another is more of a generalization in my opinion. We all have different lives and we're all different.
Try being a woman for a month... You're worried about being used for money? Imagine being used for you body...

It's Easy to weed out those guys (pick-up-ers). I'd almost say it's easier than screening out gold diggers (OK, maybe not but this isn't about a competition).
In fact I got advise from them how they do it and land women (eventually in bed). Basically there is a rush to get you either in his or her home ASAP - like by date number 2 or 3 or whatever. Look for how urgently these guys try to get you naked. Or their dishonest words "i have a hamster at home I need to feed. Come with me and stroke it". But there is no hamster in his home (you notice once inside his home). True story, I was told this by one of them 🤦♀️
Could you imagine bleeding from your gentiles for a week at a time every month and having to deal with the pain and other physical ailments that come along with that? Could you imagine having society tell you that you are worth less as a person because you're not a virgin. What about the 20% chance that someone will try to rape you just because you are a female? Then there are the social expectations of not only being productive member in the work force, but also being expected to get married, give birth to and raise children, do all of the cooking, cleaning, managing the household, live up to impossible beauty standards, some how find the time take care of your physical and mental needs, and to be sexually available to your husband when ever he want's to have an orgasm.
You know. Half of the issues you listed can be solved by simply "not giving a damn" and it would be beneficial to consult with a psychologist about it (a paid professional one, not a self-proclaimed one! Their job is to highlight your path towards happiness). That goes for many people. And I don't mean to become an a-hole towards others.
Why? I myself dealt with expectations (expectations for men that is). And I learned to disregard those expectations and do what makes me happy. For me it helped. Therefore I am not having any prejudice against girls or the thought, that they expect much from me. The other guys (on GAG at least that is) are stuck with "be rich, tall, 6 pack, whatever, never cry, drink the kool aid called toxic masculinity and talk bad about feminism".
Regarding "submission to your husband" for a lack of better terms. Don't get married to such a demanding guy.

Honestly I wouldn't work in a company, which doesn't hire women.
The only way to make women respect the average man is with war. Veterans of ww2 for example have a mythical presence that men need to be attractive. In fact, data shows that more women start having babies during and after wars, even if they were on the losing side.

As a child I almost never got any of it, so that statement is bullsh.
Girls bear problems on their bodies, period-related stuff. Men have it hard everywhere else, in every place at home or out there, all the time. Plus men have to additionally take care of women too... both financially, mentally. During PMS women inflict a lot of drama, men have to handle that too.

Even a lot of men have to protect women from other men.
I don't know to me I think men age better than women I could think they have it much easier in that area for sure, as for a aging woman I'm not so sure how it would go, I'm 30 by the way.
They don’t, and the ones that say they do are in denial or won’t admit it. You’ll find that a lot of people feel uncomfortable admitting any sort of privilege.
I know, Women pretty much only have it easier in the dating department Which is probably the one area us Guys want to have it easier, That's the problem.
Genders have it about the same…but don’t push it. Chicks do have a pay gap, whatever it is, as well as a time of the month that would force us men to call in sick.

In family law court most definitely - women get custody of children over 90% of the time, and of course, the child support that goes with it is paid by men. In the rare cases where a man gets custody of children, no child support is ordered, or if it is, and the woman does not pay it, the court will not enforce it against the woman, while child support orders are very vigorously enforced against non-paying men.
@msc545 I don’t have enough experience in family law. But I read the courts care only for children. Not the adults. Could it be that more fathers show less evidence of being good parents? They certainly don’t pay child support as much as women.
Actually, having done a lot of child custody cases my experience has been that for the most part people seem to be pretty much equivalent in terms of parenting skills. However courts heavily-favored women at least where I live. Additionally, my experience has been that women who don't pay child support suffer no consequences and men who don't pay child support suffer pretty horrendous consequences including going to jail and occasionally going to prison. There seems to be a distinct gender bias in Family Law Courts.
How are women forced to care for children by biology? They're only forced to carry and give birth to children. After that anyone can take care of the child male or female.
I know a lot of men that are extremely good caretakers with your children and I myself have cared for children I think I do a very good job of it if I do say so myself. I don't buy that women are better at taking care of children than men are but I do understand that a lot of people believe that to be true.
It's up to you not to be used by the opposite sex. you can be a little smart and cunning

@TonyMetal___86 Well, I'm not going to go into the history of the feminist movement in out country because there are plenty of posts on that here on gag, lol. As far as other countries many of them have cultures and laws that are so different than what he have over here. I know there are international groups that have been tryng to make changes like the UN and Ammenesty Internatioanl to name a few but it remains a challenge. I wish I could say I understand why the challenges exist but it's something I've struggled with since learning about the inequalities in some of these other countries.

You're looking at a handful of specific things, where men CAN have an advantage. But that's far from the entire picture. I can give you a dozen examples of female privilege too, but I am not so shallow that I think women have everything easy. Men and women BOTH have advantages, and BOTH have disadvantages, with regards to the other. We both have struggles and responsibilities and liabilities. But life has a way of balancing things out - when one sex gains in one area, they tend to lose somewhere else. Your gains always come with a cost.
