Why do people compare vaccine mandates and passports to the holocaust?

Not really funny. I live in a place with vaccine passports and our community is nothing like Nazi Germany. Not cool and it shouldn’t be socially acceptable on social media.

The holocaust didn't happen overnight, but required years of a slow creep and propaganda.

Governments, alleged democracies throughout the world, are already telling their citizens they can't work, use public transport, travel, access healthcare, must segregate themselves. If you can't earn a living, then you're going to go into debt, lose your house, not eat. Already their lives are effectively being threatened. Incidentally have you seen how the prices of these have skyrocketed of late?

This is already happening and we're only 18 months in. What's going to happen in the next 18 months?

You don't see that as an extremely dangerous thing?

We're already seeing the same kind of divisive rhetoric too. Now any government I would trust would not actively stir the pot of division and hatred. These are extremely dark times for humanity. And much of it is being enabled through the active complicity and passive indifference of the majority of the population. People, wherever you sit on the fence, need to start questioning where this is headed.

Literally in the first few months of Nazi Germany they:

- stripped away citizenship of all Jews purely on the basis of them being Jewish
- banned all Jews from working in public professions
- declared a national boycott against Jews-
- passing legislation forcing compulsory sterilization of e. g. Gypsies

National boycott declared on April 1 1933, Law for Restoration of the Professional Civil Service passed on 7 April 1933, Law for the Prevention of Hereditarily Diseased offspring passed on 14 July 1933. So nope.

And nope. The entire reason why that decade cannot be taken into account is because it is not policy, not legislation, them not in power or anything like that.

So it absolutely was in the beginning of Nazi-Germany, in their very beginning of actual rule and the very beginning of their period as legislators.

Meanwhile, in a longer period where governments are capable of creating legislation relating to covid, nothing even comparable to the first months of Nazi-Germany exists

It is worth noting that in Canada they're banning the unvaccinated from public transport and working in the public sector. Tests no longer accepted I believe. France appears set to introduce a mandate making vaccinations compulsory for all citizens.

Just because this is not exactly like what happened in Nazi Germany (because we're allegedly more civilised), doesn't mean there aren't more than a few disturbing parallels.

Because some people with certain conditions like being a cancer survivor, pregnant or having MS will make it very likely for their doctor to not recommend them take the vaccine.

I'm not a doctor so I'm not sure why that is but if you aren't going to give medical exemptions, the people who can't get it are going to be treated like second class citizens. That's why people are comparing the lack of a vaccine passport to the Star of David markings to let the authorities know who the deviants are.

Who knows what is going to happen from here? Several leaders from around the world have said that the unvaccinated are a threat to the vaccinated. Not only does that not make any sense, it also establishes a threat narrative which is also something Hitler has done.

All I hope is that the unvaxxed don't get in that train car if it ever came down to it.

Because people are being pressured to take these vaccines against their will, just like in the days of the Nazis: they're turning places like bars, cinemas, and gyms into 'safe zones' in my country from Monday where you cannot enter without having taken the vaccine, on pain of heavy fines or even possibly jail terms.

Because Nazi Germany didn't start with camps and ovens. If my grandmother hadn't left Czechoslovakia when she did I probably wouldn't exist. They took away freedoms from Jews, Gypsies, LGBT, disabled, etc. slowly and over time. And Nazis didn't have a monopoly on atrocities. America has a long history of them. Including an Extermination Order for a religious minority.
