At what point does high intelligence become more of a curse rather than a gift?

In simple numbers, 145 IQ and higher. If it goes in 15 number intervals, then 145 is two standard deviations beyond the norm. Or, almost 50% smarter than the "average" human. (I'm 150, for what it's worth.)

However, since IQ is kind of a joke, here's the simpler and better answer: How much awareness do they have. Of both themselves and the world around them. Also, how "happy" are they? Usually, if they're aware enough of humanity and how hopelessly idiotic and depressing humanity is, as well as the state of the world not shown by the mainstream media or social media sites, then they're depressed or unhappy, implying they're smart enough to have "taken the red pill" a long time ago and can see how awful the world is and the people running it.

This is not a guarantee, but it's my theory on the matter. Those who are self-aware enough to know the world is mostly sh*t. Something only intelligent people can do, I believe. While stupid people listen to CNN or Fox News, and trust Joe Biden or Angela Merkel.

Depends what type of intelligence that is. If you're booksmart your life will most likely improve by going to the best universities in medicine engineering or law and having good career.

If you are emotionally and socially smart that can also give you good career or good business

if you are intelligent enough to see the reality of this world you will be an outcast or most probably depressed and not socially successful

I'd say when your thoughts are so complex nobody else (or at least those around you) can understand. Must be frustrating not to have anybody to talk to without dumming yourself down.

When you can't relate to other people and/or communicate with them

When you become smart enough to notice big problems that have no solution.
When you become smart enough to have existential crisis.

Theirs different types of intelligence. The biggest one few have is mature communication. Instead people are emotionaly stunted at 2. Its called narcissism. If your a NARC, any intelligence is a curse.. lol..
