Stupid people are boring, hard to handle because they tend to be susceptible to emotional thinking (i. e. they buy into bullshit, unable to think cooly, unable to grasp concepts fast enough), they can also never match a smart partner because their interests and behavior will always differ in life causing conflict and dissatisfaction between the two.

Though since women tend to be more compliant and less aggressive, a smart, socially competent man (read: not a doormat) would be able to make a decent life with a stupid woman for both to be happy under his guidance.
But the other way around would cause the woman to look down on her male partner and she'd grow annoyed and lose attraction for him.

O man, let me list the reasons:
1) we can have a real conversation! we can talk about anything of course but if we ever wanted to talk about something intellectual we have that option
2) I like to talk about conspiracy theories, I always have and I'd be nice to have someone to talk to about it. I'd love to hear how wrong I am , or how not so crazy my theories sound lol
3) Intelligence is sexy! plain and simple, In a world where Kim Kardashian is on every magazine for doing basically nothing, its nice to know there is is still hope in the world... intelligent minds are out there.

Because once you get someone who matches up to your wisdom and intelligence, it feels like finding a soulmate. You both can talk about anything and everything. While those who are not up to your level, can also turn you on IF they are willing to at least to you. If they just impose their opinions on you, then they come out as stupid. But obviously, a guy with whom you can talk about everything and he knows how to add up his opinions, just make the relationship a whole lot interesting.

I find simply intelligence attractive. There is something sexy about finding a guy who can tell you about things you don't now about. And I don't measure intelligence only as learning some facts of science, but also being wise spiritually and emotionally. It's very important for me.

I have a woman friend who I find attracted to who is ga-ga over me when I talk to her, that is why I asked this question.

Because it's not to have a light-hearted and deep conversations with someone and not feel you have to dumb down a lot of things. Also intelligence can be a sign of hard work, dedication and ambition and those are good traits to have.

Well i dont ever want to date a dumbass again. Those people bore you quickly and theyre so damn uninteresting and inconsiderate. Because the more intelligent you are then usually the more perceptive and understanding you are (not always though!) and a perceptive man is extremely attractive, he will know what is required, when it is required and how to attain it.

Its not. In fact I'd say most people want a partner of average intelligence. Hence why the stereotypes for intelligent people are considered unattractive (geek, nerd, ect).

Right, but stereotypical geeks aren't considered unattractive because they're smart, but because they lack social skills and other things not directly related to intelligence.

No. You get stereotyped as a geek if you are interested in science or good at maths. Its nothing to do with social skills. Its about being intelligent.
