“Gay-friendly” clergy tend to use the terms “love” and “acceptance” interchangeably, claiming that we must love everyone, because we are all children of God.

It is certainly true that Jesus commanded us to love everyone, but it is not true that we are all “children of God.” And it certainly is not true that we must tolerate and accept evil behavior.

Scripture repeatedly refers to “children of the Devil”:

No one born of God commits sin; for God’s nature abides in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God. By this it may be seen who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not do right is not of God, nor he who does not love his brother (1 John 3:9-10).

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:43-44).

All individuals are deserving of respect.

I am against the act of homosexuality as it pertains to me, because simply, I am a heterosexual man. But who am I to tell someone else, who they fall for is wrong or right, or where they choose to couple their plumbing or rub sticks to start fires?

The truth is, none of us are perfect, and even then we still are. Even 'true' Christians understand that ALL of us are God's children. It's unfortunate that there are so many arrogant beings that exist that feel they have authority to say that others are wrong.

Being for or against homosexuality is like being for or against a particular eye color or whether or not someone likes vanilla ice cream.

Sexual orientation is innate, so "judging" someone over it is idiocy.
"Supporting homosexuality" doesn't mean "Hey let's all be queer!"
"Supporting homosexuality" means accepting those people with a same-sex sexual orientation and, like me just now, calling out people the ignorance of people who "judge" homosexuality and don't "support" it as in accept it.

Not counting the half-assed, fake, pseudo-lesbians who exploit and abuse men (and committed lesbians), I do not have a problem with homosexual/queer people. I try not to think about it at all, to be honest. I think gay sex (anal) is complete debauchery and very sick, but if it's just two people of the same sex that love each other, then whatever. Like I said, the only ones that really grind my gears are the hetero-moles ("'bisexuals'"). Ugh! I can't stand them and their exploitation of both straight and genuinely gay people. I thought it was called "LG*B*T" for a reason?

Why do people think this is something that they're even allowed to be "for" or "against"? You can be against welfare or for clean energy or against taxes or for voting rights. Why do people still think homosexual people made a choice? Do heterosexual people choose to be heterosexual? What about asexual people? What about race? Did Obama choose to be black? Did Ariana Grande choose to be Hispanic? What about your parents? Did you get a vote as to who they would be? What about people with congenital problems? Did someone choose to have bad knees? I had a different opinion many years ago, but the more homosexual activists push their ideology on little kids and in the media & claim that anybody who disagrees is evil... I had enough. I think marriage should be all about the children, not about the partners. So when the pleasure of those engaging becomes the focus of it, I think that we've already lost sight of its purpose. I would say it began with no fault divorce.

Personally, I think that homosexuality is and unfortunate by product of our fallen state, but no worse than any other sin (E. g. Adultery). However. It is not the job of the state to legislate against it, as it only affects those engaged in it.

If you're my friend, I will talk to you about it, and I have some that I do, and we remain friends. But for Society at Large, I don't care, just like I'm not going to tell you to stop smoking. Unless you're puffing it in my face. But I have yet to meet a couple that wants it at me. IMHO most people just want to Live and Let Live, and I'm fine with that

I won't stand in people's way of what they want to do. I believe everyone has to carve out their own path. I just won't be party to any religious ceremonies involving it or promoting it. I have some gay and bi people I know. I'm not against them. I like them as people and have no qualms about sharing a workspace or table with them.
