Are minorities insane to join the US military, when America has been exploiting all minorities since day one?

Hmm not exactly. The government and the politicians definitely have not been kind to minorities in the past and still today. However, people who are from not white who join the military are not doing it for the government only, they’re doing it for all kinds of different reasons.


To further education, for love of fellow Americans, to protect their way of life, career advancement/ advantage, to get a job, etc. They’re not blind to the injustices of the past and present, they’re doing their best to secure the future of us, themselves and the generations to come

No. Back in the day, ethnic minorities joined the military to prove doubters wrong.

During WWII, many Japanese-Americans enlisted in the US military mostly as the 442nd RCT to prove all their prejudiced countrymen wrong. And they sure did a good job, they proved to be more American than all their doubters back home. They weren’t just fighting the axis powers across the seas, they were also fighting those prejudiced idiots on the home front.

Lets be real about it many Japanese Americans enlisted in a attempt to avoid being sent to internment camps that our government was running at the time and forcing many Japanese Americans into.

@Oigit Aside from the Japanese-Americans that enlisted. German-Americans, Italian-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, African-Americans and Native-Americans also enlisted all marginalized groups that had to prove their loyalty and Americanism.

Yep and Germans, French and Polish also where put into concentration camps in Germany. Despite these camps being separate to the Jewish camps many of the people put in them met the same damn end as the people in the Jewish camps. If anything the fact that there we even internment camps in the US proves that we don't have rights, we have privileges. Rights can't be taken away and privileges can.

Also many of the Germans, French and Polish people that ended up in internment camps themselves thought the German government wouldn't do the same to them that they where doing to the Jews, tell they died in the exact same way the Jewish people where in Jewish camps. Yet people still ignore the truth that if a government will do it to someone else the same government will do it to their own people.

No. Not all minorities think the same stuff. The ones who join tend not to be the ones who sit around whining about being a victim all the time. They're go getter types who want to improve their life. The biggest whiners are white liberals, telling minorities that they should be anti-american.
