To be clear I haven't ever watched Family Guy. I didn't know that they brought this up in it. I only know of the show because a lot of kids in my high school liked it.

The authors of the constitution were infamously poetic rather than straightforward like IKEA instructions.

So todays judges have to fill in the gaps with their own politics. Like disregarding “Well-Regulated Militia” which are the first freakin words…

The more obvious issue I always had with it was the way people suggest you can't amend it, when it's literally an amendment itself. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't contain the words "no backsies".

We have the 2nd and the 5th amendment basically allows you to defend yourself no matter how you do it. The courts would have to prove that it was self defense.
