  Yeah I’ve gotten some great deals on furniture. $5 for a huge shelf, $30 for my dresser , $50 for a mini fridge. Even try Facebook Marketplace! Got my car from Facebook marketplace because dealerships post on there too

Yes, at Christmas I would go looking for people to help since I had extra and a heart to give. I found a post saying she and younger siblings had no food. I decided to engage... took the risk... it was in the bad part of town I'd never seen.
It was a teen girl and her siblings and they had no food in dilapidated house. The father was injured in hospital and mother there as well.
So I bought them some food, bags of food. The parents came home and I got to know them, they were really screwed up as he had been injured working and couldn't work, no insurance, hillbillies... if you know those. the wife couldn't hold a job, logistics was difficult w no car and environment was terrible. The young kids suffered.
I tried to get help from others, and got some donations of food. I knew them over a year, they were poor, but street wise. Don't know why they couldn't get govt help, but it took years. If you think 'white' people don't suffer in this country think again.
Guess you can call that a deal... in life education. What college would teach what I learned?
