+1 yI realize I'm wasting time with you personally on this subject, but others may read this, so here it goes.
The only thing Trump didn't do is personally ask Putin to get the job done. As the Mueller report clearly indicated, he was aware of interference in his favor, and he liked it. So was his staff and FRIENDS aware, and they lied about it, some of whom were subsequently convicted, and then pardoned by Trump. No brainer there, people. For example, Manafort, Stone, both FULLY complicit, both LIED under oath, both pardoned or sentence commuted. They're just the two most recognizable names.
Mueller also clearly stated he believe he was being lied to, and that Congress should proceed with an investigation because he a) couldn't make it stick with what he had and b) it was "policy" not to indict a sitting President.
Trump supporters consider the whole thing a "victory and exoneration" because the "collusion" wasn't shown per se, but the report proved a lot. And when Trump actually DID ask for help, straight up with the Ukranian President in exchange for foreign aid, his supporters wrote THAT off as "no big deal" too. Clearly again, a criminal act that should have resulted not only in impeachment, but removal from office.
The ONLY reason Trump finished out his term is because Republican Trumpanzees had control of the Senate.
So, blaming the Democrats for dividing the nation and attacking Democracy, from the Trump side of things, is SO laughably stupid it doesn't deserve another look. Trump and his administration, his friends, his supporters in Congress, have FULLY demonstrated their total disregard for law, the Constitution and most of all... the TRUTH.
He continues to perpetuate the Big Lie, and sow seeds of mistrust and doubt in the very process that got him elected in 2016. HE and his fool supporters are the ones responsible for the "Great Divide" we now face, not only from 6 years of blubbering, anti-everything rhetoric and hate, but his continuing lies and attacks on true Democracy.
His day of reckoning is coming. Hopefully, those in his cult will be able to see the con, and the sham, that is Donald Trump... the man who sat idly and enjoyed watching violence perpetrated on Jan. 6th. I dare say he'd have had no problem if they actually DID hang Mike Pence.010 Reply- +1 y
Did you even read it? No, you didn't. The only reason more things didn't come of it is the same reason Trump wasn't removed from office - Republican Trumpanzees controlled the Senate. That's it. That's the ONLY reason. The report was damning enough, just as the phone calls to the Ukranian President was, and the one to the governor of Georgia, both of which should have landed him in jail, where he deserves to be. The latter may still.
- +1 y
It IS the ONLY reason. Had the Democrats controlled both houses, there's no way in HELL Trump would have remained in office. Everyone knows this, except you apparently.
- +1 y
Dude... He was impeached the first time for soliciting foreign interference in an election. Every Democratic Senator voted to impeach. The vote was 48 guilty from the Dems, 0 from the Repubs, with all 52 Repubs voting not guilty. You're going to tell me that if the Dems had 52 votes or more, they wouldn't have removed him? Get real. He'd be long gone. Not worth discussing.

TRUMP did everything HE could his entire term to divide the nation. Lies upon lies, treasonous acts to further his own ambitions, tax breaks for the wealthy and crumbs for the middle class, supporting hate groups, and on and on. There were GOOD reasons why the Dems wanted him removed - #1 being that call to the Ukraine. Then he did it again to Georgia, still perpetuating the Big Lie.
The Repubs are the real whack jobs, dude. Idiots like Ron Johnson who said Jan. 6th "wasn't an armed insurrection" and "just another tourist day at the Capitol" are the real wacko's here. Any moron who watches the videos and thinks it was a peaceful protest is just too stupid to even consider having their opinion taken seriously. Only Republican senators joined with Johnson in trying to make light of what happened. Idiots every one of them.
As I said before, Trump deserved the scrutiny and criticism he got, and continues to get. He nothing more than a lying con man with a arcissistic personality disorder (NPD) ---- a real mental disorder characterized by a life-long pattern of exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive craving for admiration, and a diminished ability to empathize with other's feelings. That's your boy, leader of the Trumpanzees.

It's hardly an outlier or special subject either, considering that they leave out leftists storming the Capitol during Trump's inauguration that resulted in hundreds of arrests, Kavanaugh's hearing which was personally led by sitting members of congress, and the actual bombing of the Capitol by a leftist back in the 80s. They also continue to lie about the circumstances of almost every prominent police shooting of the last few years, they're still lying about the Kyle Rittenhouse case and the associated shooting... The thing about even bad lies is that if you repeat them enough, people who know them to be lies will start to believe it anyway, including the people doing the lying. I'm convinced at this point that they're so high on their own farts and so far gone with dementia that they actually believe their own BS at this point.21 Reply

32 Reply5.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It's not a lie. Russian agents are wanted criminals from the united states of America. The million dollar question was donald sneaky about it.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/OsvWg2FBntsThe fact don said this to the press the same week it happened saved his ass. A member of trump's campaign Roger Stone was being sneaky and went to jail for it until he got a pardon. All these things are factually true.

Now close your eyes, plug your ears, and scream fake news.
As some of these others answers show, a lot of them actually still believe the propaganda, lol. Pity them, and laugh at them. But don't hold your breath for them to apologize.

+1 yHere's when.
#1: When Republicans apologize for January 6th riots at the capital that further the divide of the nation.
#2: When Republicans quit whining about election fraud though the courts threw out their arguments because it didn't have evidence for their claim of fraudulent election. Even a hard red state like Georgia throw their B. S. claim out the door.
Republicans apologize then the Democrats will apologize. Which ego gives in first?03 Reply- +1 y
Sure they didn't. It was a bunch of liberals who broke into the capital destroying property. 👍👍

They impeached Trump, and found just cause, but just not guilty enough to throw him out there and then. You could say it's one reason for the Capitol insurrection attempt going ahead.03 Reply

It’s called accountability. Something the Democrats won’t stop preaching about every single day, while ignoring all the horrible things they’ve done.

When Senator Ron Johnson apologizes to the families of the dead, and all the injured as a result of the "unarmed insurrection" and "just another tourist day" of Jan. 6th, 2021, then you smug Republicans can start asking Dems to apologize for telling the truth.
- +1 y
@loveslongnails you mean kinda like when the crazy people on the left killed people including children in Seattle, Portland, and all over the country? They got away with everything they did, no apologies went to the families of the people that were killed during their peaceful protests. One of the dead was a special needs teenager that was shot to death for no reason. People seem to forget about all of the death and destruction they caused for months!
- +1 y
I didn't forget about that, and thanks for supporting my point in a roundabout way. The point being -- they are "fringe fanatics" on one side, just like the people who attacked the Capital are "fringe fanatics". There's no place for any of that. Those people should be prosecuted as well. Their actions were despicable, and it completely ruined the real message and left the whole point unresolved and polarized. But that was what some of the instigators wanted - certainly not all. Nevertheless, those responsible for the violence, destruction and death, also need to be in jail.
Jan. 6th should never, EVER have turned into Dems vs Repubs. It wasn't about that. But when a guy like Johnson makes idiotic statements like that, and colleagues follow, it becomes a tragic travesty, fueled by the denial of truth. I'm 100% certain that every legislator, R or D, could see the violence in Seattle and elsewhere. Its in your face on video, recorded, or live. But Jan 6th was nothing to some of the R's? Another day at the office? That's just absurd.
I repeat, it should NEVER have turned into a political hot potato -- it is obviously a riot, and worse. If you're an elected representative and can't see that, you're either insane, incompetent or both, regardless if you're R or D.
