Nope... some women simply HATE men, it's sad... but there are also some men that HATE women, that is also SAD... DO NOT LISTEN TO THE HATERS
I never met such men.
you're lucky.. I hope you never do.
I know one... >_> but he hates women because of his bad experiences with them. Like on a scale of 1-10, 10 being crazy bitch, there have been two on 15. Tried to kill him. He's just been burned. I don't think he means what he says half the time, and he had a stroke which made his attitude worse. But at this point I just pitty him. He want to date, but doesn't understand that his toxic personality is the problem not always his 4'11 height. (Yes he's 1 inch from legally being a miget/dwarf.)
Did people have to make suicide a gender thing? Kinda ruining the point of it
Women actually attempt suicide at a higher rate than men do, it’s just that men are more likely to actually kill themselves.
Maybe because women don't intend to kill themselves?
Probably, more of a cry for help which they’re more likely to get, whereas men know they won’t.
This is so beautiful. If it only were so easy to just everything with a singular cause.
Just more man hate. Women actually attempt suicide at higher rates than men, just men are more successful.
There are lots of extreme feminists out there, they aren't the ones that stuck up for women to vote or equality. Feminists like that should marry each other since they hate men. People that feel suicidal should try to get help.
no
No. It’s a chemical disruption in the brain causing depression. But males do commit the most violence period. But of course it’s not even the majority of males.
I would say there's a shred of truth in that; men are more proactive than women and more inclined to action. Thus, that's likely one reason men commit suicide at a higher rate.
Feminist should just be dragged into the streets and violently brutalized. Then, "made an example of" and their lifeless carcasses dangled from the power lines
The last one is okay I guess but the other two tweets made me say "wtf gorl"
No. Women and society don't care about men's mental state.
She a ignorant mf that’s the thing
Translation: "Whatever you're talking about, yes it's men's fault."
Suicide is mental illness and twice as many women commit suicide than men do.
Oh boy do you need to check some statistics. Men are about 3-4x as likely to off themselves overall. Even the most horrible places on earth for women see men taking their lives more often.
@Effably yes.
there is no such w country where most suicides are committed by women
@Effably I admit that I was wrong about women. But it is mental illness.
I admit that I was wrong about women. But it is mental illness.
It is good that you can admit that, all good mate. I don't really agree on it being a mental illness but I fully agree people in that position need professional help. And well, whether we call it a mental illness or being down on your luck? Makes little difference. I am worried the 60 year old man who lost his family in a fire a few weels after losing his job to covid would be even less likely to seek help if that means people see him as mentally ill.
Of course some people who are suicidal are mentally ill too. I just find it a little crazy to think all are. One bloke I know literally offed himself because to him he either did that or his kids would be sold to human trafficking. I am not saying he is right or wrong, but you can bet your butt I would never tell those kids their daddy was mentally ill.
Still. Most cases are less extreme. Nearly all cases need Some sort of help.
They want to get away with killing all men, they will seize power and start the genocide soon enough
They want but they can't
Once they get Harris onto the Supreme court, Pelosi and Clinton into the president and VP positions
It'll happen
I think that might be a bit too extreme. Yes, there are lots of very loud women who tarnish feminism by using it to hate men, but I think they are just the loudest. I don’t think you have to worry, most people - most feminists! (real ones, who just support equality, not hating men) - don’t think this way.
@Margot1295 we rarely meet those real feminists on social media
They didn't like him for he spoke the truth
I know. It does feel like they are everywhere. For a long time, they made me say I wasn’t a feminist at all. I just wanted to distance myself from them.
@Margot1295 no need to call you any name if a movement. Just be a good person.
@Margot1295 everything after the first wave of feminism is misandric by nature. If you're egalitarian, truly egalitarian, then just call yourself an egalitarian. Otherwise i won't take anything you have to say seriously.
@nonyabeezwax132342 i am an egalitarian. Absolutely. But I call myself a feminist in name of the original movement, not because of what some women have turned it into. But I have to say, it is pretty immature to say you won’t hear anyone out who follows a different socio-political movement than you. The only way for society to work is if people with opposing view communicate.
@Margot1295 its not immature, its realistic. I have learned over years of experience, that misandrist won't listen to anything I have to say simply because I have a penis and y chromosome. So why should I listen to someone who puts me down and berates me when they won't even listen to something basic like an opinion from someone of the opposite sex? And no, I'm proving a point. You align yourself with egalitarian values yet align yourself in name with a movement which is antithetical to being egalitarian. Feminism doesn't mean what it used to mean, and the more you call yourself a feminist the more you put yourself in a group of people that most people can't take seriously because of how ridiculously sexiest they are. You went awfully quick to name calling over this.
@nonyabeezwax132342 the definition of feminism is what I align myself with, which goes hand in hand with egalitarianism. And most women I know feel the same way I do, it is just that the angry, man-hating ones are fucking loud and drown the rest of us out. I’m not going to let these women tarnish a movement that changed the world and gave me equal rights. These women sicken me, especially as there are still countless countries where women are still actually oppressed that these misandrists conveniently forget about. It is for all of those women out there in other countries that I call myself a feminist.
@Margot1295 i get that, but its too late. The movement is beyond tarnished.
Another non-expert pontificating on things she knows nothing about.
No feminist like to treat men as everything but a human which is all we really are
Feminazis always say some of the most funniest shit. Im not shocked by that
Lol of course not. Just when I think my opinion of feminists couldn't get any lower. I read this!
Yes i agree that feminist always come up with genius theories. 😝😅
uhhh NO! Men commit suicide more than women as they are more rash in their actions and act more on an impulse. She’s a feminist, everyone hates her, stop giving her more traction than she deserves.
Men chose more violent methods of suicide. Suicide is an act of violence against one's self... so she, at least in that aspect, is right.
It is an act of violence but not an act out of violence.
if you are trying to kill yourself that is violence towards yourself. Statistically men are more violent... it's biology.
I understand that. But suicide is not an act out of violence. Violence is not the reason. Desperation is.
No one is saying that... People aren't just violent towards themselves just for the sake of being violent.
No one is saying that?
The feminist said that.
I read through that a few times and she didn't say that male suicide was "an act out of violence". She said suicide is self directed violence, which is true. People often act out violently when they are desperate... you're familiar with the fight or flight response right?
She links suicide to violence.
This is not true. If it was true then violent people would be more prone to kill themselves.
Suicidal people want to END THEIR lives for the sake of not living anymore. They don't commit suicide because they want to use violence.
But suicide is a violent act and there for is linked to violence. Those who are more violent will typically chose more violent methods of suicide, which is clearly demonstrated in the different methods of suicide chosen my men vs women. For example men choose more violent methods of suicide such as a gun, hanging, or jumping. Women are more likely to chose less violent methods such as poison or pills.
No one is saying that someone is going to kill themselves just because they want to be violent, that is not the point. It's more so that violence can and does contribute to suicide rates. People who have been victim to violent abuse are more likely to become suicidal. Men are just more likely to chose a more violent method because in general men are more violent.
Gun is easy. One shot on the heasld and they are dead. They DO WANT to die not to get attention.
The effectiveness not the violence of shooting is the reason why men choose that method.
Suicide is a violent act but it is not committed for the sake of violence but for the sake of dying.
Why do men commit suicide?
For dying or for using violence.
People who commit suicide because they have been a victim of violent abuse have DEPRESSION. They don't become attracted to violence.
Some might but mostly it is depression
oh my god... you're like a broken record, no one is saying that. Suicide is not committed just for the sake of violence! NO ONE is arguing against that.
Violence is used to commit/attempt suicide. Suicide is an act of violence against one's self.
You still can't get. I wonder how many times I will have to explain for you to understand.
I said it's a violent act but not out of violence. The reason is not violence.
The effectiveness not the violence of shooting is the reason why men choose that method.
NO ONE said that it was... but for some reason you keep brining up a mute point...
Still shooting is one of the most violent methods... which is why it's one of the most effective
Shooting is a very quick and effective method of suicide which is why men choose it
actually over 50% of suicides in 2019 were due to firearm, It's no coincidence that one of the most violent methods of suicide is used more than 50% of the time.
Shooting is used because it is quick and effective
No one is arguing the contrary, it is quick and effect because it violently blows a hole through your body…
Then what are you arguing?
That men use it because it looks more violent? Blowing a hole through their head.
That is irrelevant.
Violence nothing to do with men's choice of shooting.
It is quick and effective. This makes them choose shooting.
That men chose more violent methods of suicide which is true but for some reason you feel the need to argue about it
They choose shooting because it is quick and effective not because it is violent.
It is quick and effective because it is violent. violent methods of suicide are chosen because they are effective.
Burning oneself alive is violent too.
But it is painful and noy quivk. Therefore the violent part of shooting is not the reason for men choose it.
No one said that a person choses a suicide method purely off of how violent it is. Burning is not very efficient hence why it's not generally used to kill one's self, how ever burning is a common form of self harm.
For self harm.
The intent is hurting themself not ending their life.
Then again what makes men choose shooting is how quick and effective it is.
And It’s so quick and effective because it’s so violent.
Still violence is not the reason why men choose shooting.
Shooting on the arm or on the leg is violent but it is an effective and quick way of killing?
Violence is not the intent of using shooting as suicide method.
Violence is not the reason for wanting to end life.
let me repeat myself again... NO ONE is saying that it is.
Then bringing up violence as the reason why so many men choose suicide is stupid.
The reason why people decide to kill them selves, will depend on the person, but generally I would assume it is because they no longer want to live. I never said that violence is the reason why someone choses to end their own life, in fact no one said that, though for some reason you keep bringing that up.
What I am saying is that violence is a contributing factor in suicide.
Why are you trying to argue a point that you brought up and has nothing to do with what I said?
It is not the reason why men commit suicides therefore the feninist's point makes no sense
What are you talking about? She never said that, at best she is implying that higher rates of violence contribute to higher rates of suicide.
It's basic math... the more violence you are surrounded by the higher your chances are of dying a violent death.
Why do you think that suicide rates among veterans are so high?
Why do you think that sexual assault survivors are 10 times more likely to attempt suicide?
Here is quote from the National Library of Medicine.
"The biological effects of violence have become increasingly better understood and include effects on the brain, neuroendocrine system, and immune response. Consequences include increased incidences of depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, and suicide; increased risk of cardiovascular disease; and premature mortality. The health consequences of violence vary with the age and sex of the victim as well as the form of violence. People can be the victims of multiple forms of violence, and the health effects can be cumulative."
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31589529/
On average, violent crime has climbed by 12 percent in U. S. citiest since 2010.
The U. S. Department of Justice sponsored a National Crime Victimization Study in 2007. This evaluation found that 75.6 percent of all violent offenders were male, and that was only a domestic study. When it comes to global suicide rates and violence, the united states don't even make the top 10.
Why are sexual assault survivors more inclined to commit suicide?
They are the victims of violence. Their nature is not violent
Those studies are skewed by police arresting male victims. The minute any female half says he hit her in a demestic situation, he gets arrested. It doesn't matter what evidence there is, it doesn't matter what witnesses there are. Your studies are wrong.
Maybe, but they were victims of violence. Like I said, this more about the effect that increased violence has on society.
@nonyabeezwax132342 it wasn’t a study, those are statistics of people found guilty of a violent crime, not those who were just arrested.
I know men who were arrested and convicted for being abused. It still is skewed.
@nonyabeezwax132342 the number of people who are mischarged is incredibly low, but unfortunately it does happen on both ends of the spectrum. The number of people who are never caught or charged for their crime significantly outweighs the number of people who were falsely accused and charged as guilty. Men are also the largest demographic of victims when it comes to violent crime.
How do you know how many cases of rape claims are actual rape incidents?
When the rape claim is not proved to be an actual rape it doesn't mean it was rape.
False rape claims are EXTREMELY HARD to be proven as false. Whivh is why feminiets claim the number of false claims is extremely rare.
Honey we are about violent crime not sexual assault.
I still wanted to mention that unproven rape claims are not necessarily rape incidents
and that still isn't relevant to male suicide rates? Do you argue just because you like to argue or what? This whole topic is about one thing but you keep trying to branch of to something completely off topic.
I brought it up because I noticed you talked about false claims
Are you even aware what you were discussing? You did bring up false accusation
You said
"the number of people who are mischarged is incredibly low, but unfortunately it does happen on both ends of the spectrum. The number of people who are never caught or charged for their crime significantly outweighs the number of people who were falsely accused and charged as guilty. "
That is why I expressed my views on false rape claims.
I think you don't even understand what yoi are saying. Or maybe you have 0 memory.
I wasn't talking about rape I was talking about violent crime, and I wasn't taking to you, so butt out and go cyber bully someone else.
You were talking about false accusations.
And AFTER THAT ONLY I expressed my view on false rape accusation.
You said I should stay on topic which was male suicide but you were the one who brought up false accusations. You changes the topic not me. Do you see how stupid you are?
If you want to bore other people with your stupidity then message them. I get notification from you all the time.
Then maybe you should turn them off..
I want to see other people's responses. You are not among them.
then turn of the notifications for my comment or block me
She's more toxic than a nuclear power plant.
She clearly has no idea what she's Talking about
Thats the dumbest reason I've ever heard
This is a gross perspective
A feminist said something stupid? What a surprise
I'm a girl qre super suicidal
Stupidest thing I’ve ever read.
Update: EXACTLY THAT! You can say it out louder so that those PSEUDO FEMINISTS can understand!
She is so stunning and brave.
🤣😭😂
And stupid...
@nonyabeezwax132342 I agree.
Is she spelling male violence or malevolence?
That's what I thought at first.
But I think she's trying to make a new compound word.
Maleviolence.
Just to link violence to men specifically
These people change definitions and make up new words you can't reason with them...
Women commit suicide too and it's because of what?
She needs to slap herself
I don't agree with her logic
Which part? The part where she says that suicide is self directed violence or the part were she said that emotional abusers can used threats of self harm suicide as a manipulation tactic?
@Subarugirl the part where she links the high rates of suicide to violence as if men commit suicide more than women because they are more violent than women.
Men commit suicide because they don't want to live anymore not because they want to express violence for the sake of violence.
@marish01 No one is saying that someone is going to kill themselves just because they want to be violent, that is not the point. It's more so that violence can and does contribute to suicide rates. People who have been victim to violent abuse are more likely to become suicidal. Men are just more likely to chose a more violent method because in general men are more violent. You are totally missing the point here.
In fact women are 2 times more likely to attempt suicide, women just chose less violent methods which happen to be less effective methods.
@Subarugirl
That suicide is violence and/or self-directed malevolence.
She's using a technicality that isn't practical. You could argue that, tattooing is violence, getting a piercing is violence, or even facepalming is violence. But we all know these things aren't actually violent.
Just because damage is done doesn't mean it is violence. And suicide, to my knowledge, is in nearly all cases done to end suffering, not to enact violence. Just like getting a piercing is done to alter your aesthetic, not to enact violence on yourself (violence: "the use of physical force to harm someone, to damage property, etc.").
Malevolence has a definition associated with it, and with that definition comes connotations. Malevolence is defined as "formal: having or showing a desire to cause harm to another person" or "having, showing, or arising from intense often vicious ill will, spite, or hatred" or "productive of harm or evil."
As you can see, the formal and most-used definition here is directed from one person onto others. But suicide is done to oneself. So when she uses that term, she's painting an inaccurate picture in people's minds.
Regarding the second definition, you could technically argue that getting a tattoo is malevolence because some people hate the pain of getting a tattoo but still get it, thus, "they have intense hatred" per the definition. But I'm sure you can see the mental gymnastics of a statement like that. So this isn't a decent use of the word, either.
As for the third definition, we've already been over how harm isn't inherently violence, but if you want to assert "suicide is inherently evil" then I ask you: If someone was a slave, or chained up in some basement for a dozen or two years, enduring very unfortunate experiences, would you think they are an evil person if they found a way to end their life and took the opportunity to do so? Or would you say they were not evil, they simply wanted the misery to end?
So her use of "violence" and "malevolence" is questionable at best, and entirely wrong at worst. Her word-choice (or I'd say, semantic manipulation) paints men as these twisted, sinister beings. That's wrong as-is but to then use it to dismiss the struggles of men, especially suicide, is quite frankly very off-putting (and trust me when I say I'm being euphemistic).
So I'd argue from a practical sense, she's entirely wrong. But if you want to argue based on technicalities, I'd like to analogize something for you. Saying suicide is violence or malevolence (due to it technically being "harm") is like saying sex is rape, and then saying the person who was raped "had sex" rather than saying "they were raped." Like, yeah, that's technically true, they had sex. But is that an accurate depiction of what happened? No, not at all.
I also don't agree with the apparent implication that suicide is higher in men because they're more violent, rather than other serious and unfortunate factors. Quite frankly I find it dismissive, even if she claims to care (with all due respect, and I mean that, I'm not convinced).
As another example, if a woman commits suicide, you wouldn't say "oh, she was a violent woman." Because suicide and violence have no correlation. Sometimes they may be related in some regard, but that's entirely situational, not fundamental, intrinsic, or inherent to suicide (or "male suicide" as she called it). As another example, I'd imagine you believe there have been plenty of timid, kind, wouldn't-hurt-a-fly people (women or men) who have committed suicide just to end suffering they were going through. Suicide is rarely violence or malevolence. And as a side-note, if a man tried to rape a woman, and she fought back successfully via punching him or poking his eyes with her fingers, it would be technically true to say she partook in "violence." But, again, nobody would really refer to it as that. Nobody would say she is a violent woman.
And your defense of her, with all due respect, I believe is tribal. I really don't mean to be rude but you seem to be defending her because she's an ally to you, not because you truly believe what she said is true. You're putting words into her mouth. She said "suicide is violence" not "men are more violent, thus, choose more violent options, thus, are more likely to die from their suicidal tendancies." I really hope this straightforward assertion of mine doesn't inhibit you from providing your opinion on future posts or comments of mine. We may may always agree, but I welcome your input.
In that last sentence, it was supposed to say "we may not always"
That feminist didn't mention violent methods of suicide. She only said men are more suicidal because they are into violent acts.
No she didn't...…Statistically males are more violent than women. I'm sure that we can both agree on that. A person with violent tendencies usually act more violent than those who don't.
Statistically men are more violent, meaning they act more violently, which translates to many different aspects of their life. Someone who is violent acts violently. Generally the more violent the method of suicide is the more effective it is. So it's not surprising when comparing two groups of people one more violent than the other that the more violent group will chose the more violent method.
You see the same thing with men's sports vs women's sports.
Crimes committed by women vs men.
Fights between men vs women.
In every social situation I can think of men are physically more violent than women and your gonna act like that very important part of human behavior effects everything other than how a person decides to take their life. You are either so bias you're blind or do not have the cognitive ability to understand how simple human nature and drive effect and influence a person's choices.
Men commit suicide because they want to end their lives not because they want to act violent.
No shit…. No one is arguing the contrary
@globetrotter22 I am willing to call these bitches out! I guess we are on the third wave of the feminist movement and these females (I won't even consider them to be called women!) are the worst so far (until they reinvent themselves again and become even worse. I think the world is all about them, which makes them hard and ruthless! They are the type to write someone a text or email encouraging people to end their lives, of course, unless it's another feminist. They are a disgrace to women, and nobody owes them anything. They need to get off their high horse's before they become so disgusting that people will start going after them and take them out. They are only here on earth for a short time. Like it or not, they will die one day and I don't think their names will be written in The Lord's Book of Lambs! I would hate to have a mother of a 3rd wave feminist. What kind of childhood would they have. And I doubt any man would get close enough to get them pregnant!
@Subarugirl
Yes, I do agree men, on average, are more violent than women.
You seem to have a lot of focus on asserting that "men are more violent and use more effective means of suicide" but I think your focus is misplaced. To get the following out of the way, you say "and you're gonna act like that very important part of human behavior effects everything other than how a person decides to take their life," but you're wrong. I have not acted, implied, or said anything of the sort. And if you feel otherwise, I'd encourage you to quote me doing so. To be explicitly clear, I never opposed the notion that men choose more violent, and thus more effective, means of suicide. So I'm not sure where you got that idea from.
As for the misplaced focus, you stated that she said/meant X (X being "men use more violent and effective means of suicide"). I responded that she did not say/mean X. Then you respond with saying since X is true then she must have meant X (and also wrongfully asserted I opposed X's validity). Whether X is or isn't true (I agree that it is) is entirely irrelevant. She did not say or mean X in the first place.
What you're doing would be akin to someone saying "horses are pleasant" and then you saying "well, horseback riding is indisputably one of the most popular, enjoyed animal-human sports, thus, she must have meant that horseback riding is pleasant." As you can see, just because horseback riding is indisputably popular and enjoyed by many, that doesn't mean the person who said "horses are pleasant" meant that horseback riding is pleasant. You are putting words in her mouth.
And your claim that "since X is true, then she must have meant X" doesn't explain her questionable word choices. I mean, "malevolent"? Really? A word defined by Google as "having or showing a wish to do evil to others"? Not to mention her seemingly randomly lumping on "threats of suicide are emotional abuse" (which don't get me wrong, I agree it certainly can be). Though, in all fairness, this may simply be due to other context being out-of-frame, it may be a response specifically to that topic.
Lastly, we can do without remarks like "no shit." Both Marish01 and I have been nothing but civil. I encourage you to do the same.
On another thread she acted no civil at all. So I don't expect it from her.
This is what she said to me
"No you’re a shitty person for acting like a shitty person. I don’t find her attractive, but I don’t feel the need to body shaming bitch."
And even after this I didn't stoop to her level.
*Not I think the world is about them, but THEY think the world is about them**
In none of that feminist tweet did she mean violent methods.
Reread again. Where does she say men choose violent methods of suicide.
NONE
No you just felt the need to body shame a complete stranger online and called the ancient Greeks retarded. The way you treat people is a good indication of the type of person you are. If you don’t want to be called out for it maybe don’t do it publicly, or just don’t it at all. It doesn’t take much effort to be kind.
Can we stay on-topic, please?
@Subarugirl being called out and being called names are 2 different things.
I said her body is disgusting to me because it is. I said the truth.
@Subarugirl your namecalling didn't change my opinion about her body. You only expressed your anger.
I’m just expressing my opinion same as you… except mine are biased off of the way you act and treat others. Not the way you look.
I just realized she was saying male-violence, not malevolence. My mistake. Though, that's even sillier.
@Subarugirl and I can express my opinion and call you names but I won't stoop to your level.
No you’ll just call that girl names. Addressing your bad behavior isn’t calling you names, it’s a description of the you are acting. Which is way more embraces if than being fat.
@Subarugirl I'm guessing we're done with our initial conversation?
She will still repeat the same thing over and over again.
I explained to her that men choose shooting because it is quick and effective not because it is violent.
Yet she can't get that.
Sorry, the conversation got hijacked. You have a lot of really good point but the main issue is that by definition the act of suicide is inherently violent.
Violence is defined as: behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something.
Logically that would include to hurt, damage, or kill one's self.
I agree that the use of "maleviolence" is redundant. It's clear based on the topic that when she mentions violence it's in relation to men.
@Subarugirl it is a violent act but violence is not the reason why men want to end their lives.
Did this reach to your head?
Or do I need to repeat over and over again?
Jesus…. of course it's not, you are the only one saying that. No one else is saying that.
We are saying that men act more violently because in general men are more violent.
@Subarugirl
Men are more violent. But being violent doesn't mean not wanting to live.
They commit suicide because they don't want to live not because they want to enact violence.
Violent people want to live unless their lives become miserable and they choose suicide as self-defense.
so why did you constantly mention that shooting is violent when the violent part if that mathod is not the reason why men choose it?
@Subarugirl Well, I feel as though things that I've mentioned refute the pedanticism (pardon the rude wording, I couldn't think of a kinder but accurate word to describe it) of "suicide is violence," and I'd like to hear your thoughts on it. I won't try to continue this debate here, as I agree that the conversation has gotten a bit messy. However, if you would like to continue this discussion, feel free to message me.
If course it doesn't. lol you are just trying to argue for the sake of arguing. If actually took a moment to try and comprehend what I am sayin you would realize that I am not disagreeing with you.
@Subarugirl I'm not trying to argue for the sake of arguing, I'm trying to debate (civilly) because I think it helps society come to the proper conclusions (in both political directions).
And we may agree on some things but the thing I'm specifically referring to, I don't think we agree on. Or at least you haven't explicitly agreed, rather you have explicitly disagreed. Perhaps your stance has changed, but if so, that wasn't apparent to me.
And I can't help but feel there may be a level of animosity between us, and I just want you to know I don't feel that way towards you and I'd hope you don't feel that way towards me.
Feminists! (facepalm)
