I agree except Maher is on that large contingent. He would sh*t on Trump nonstop in 2016 instead of taking a neutral or more nuanced side, and by 2022, is some 5 to 7 years too damn late to be calling the left out on being authoritarian fascist retards. And I was a former liberal until 2017 or so. Hell, I still am a liberal by what it ACTUALLY means: free speech advocate and freedom for all.

The dumbest, most brainwashed people on the left tend to be the oldheads, too. Old farts on GAG and guys like Neil Young who used to be the "free speech hippies" but then got rich and old and turned into the thing they used to hate while still thinking they're the "rebellious underdogs." Hell, even Eminem is like this. Remember his "awfully hot coffee pot" parking lot diss at Donald Trump that make him look like an out of touch boomer? Mister Misogynist and Homophobe himself who hates the establishment, sucking d*ck for the establishment by badmouthing Trump just like CNN and big tech were.

I swear, the Millennials and Zoomers who fall for the liberal retardation are just idiots. You can't really blame idiots for being idiotic. But the old people, who you'd think would be wise enough to see what the left has become? They're the worst ones of all. All the 50, 60, and 70+ year olds, still acting like babies, while ironically criticizing Trump for being as immature as they are. In other words, pure projection. All to a guy who doesn't affect them in the slightest. Trump was an enemy to the establishment elites, not to everyday people. You can dislike his attitude and all, but he had no affect on the lives of everyday Americans, especially since he had little power in his administration due to congress.

But they hated Trump anyway merely because they were told to, dividing the left into the disgusted who left them, like I did, and the sheep who continue to stay. What this means is, the left is continuously filtering out rational people, year by year. They 100% rigged the 2020 and bragged to Time Magazine about it, but make no mistake: the left has less people on their side now than ever before.

In 2016, when Trump got elected, they already were a large minority, being like 45-49% of the US. But now, they're like 15-20% at the most. Most actual Americans aren't liberal anymore. Or at least what they're calling "liberal" nowadays. Most Americans are "purple," as either a mix of left and right wing values, or apathetic to politics in general. The only ones who stay are the crazies and they're getting worse and more authoritarian every year, now trying to force experimental vaccines into people. The left IS losing! Hard! And soon, they'll have no one left but the ones in power controlling everyone. Then, revolution will come and they'll lose that power (assuming they don't cheat again), but Joe Biden's masters are f*cking up so badly, they're speeding along the exodus of the left. To the point where even superleftist Bill Maher (who I actually used to watch and respect in the late 2000s, when I was like 19 or 20) is leaving the left. Ironic it took him this long considering he was one of the first to be affected by Cancel Culture way back in 2001 after his original talk show on ABC got cancelled because he criticized the US military right after 9/11 happened. Yeah only NOW in 2021/2022 is he criticizing the left.

TL;DR Version: As the left continues to be tyrants and fascists, more and more people leave the Left to the point even Bill Maher, one of their mascots, is no longer on their side.

30 years ago there were almost no openly homosexual or transsexual people because everyone rejected it and considered it insanity. Also, before Roe v. Wade abortion was pretty rare. Now Democrats promote and celebrate abortion as the best thing since sliced bread.

Today, we are being FORCED to accept Abortion, Homosexuality, and Transsexualism as "normal" or else be accused of "hate speech". That couldn't be farther from the Truth.

To tell the TRUTH is to share LOVE.
To promote morality is to share LOVE.

To LIE about wrong-doing is hateful.
To accept and promote wrong-doing and call it "Normal" is hateful.

When two people have sex together, they say they "Made Love", but anybody could have sex. People having affairs and one night stands have sex, and that's not true love.

Abortion is literally the opposite of Love.

The "Left" promotes all sorts of wrong behaviors and wrong policies. An example is they intentionally inflate money as a means of "paying" the federal debt, which is honestly a form of THEFT. They borrow a trillion dollars and pay back a trillion with interest, but they intentionally devalued the currency by 3/4ths before they pay it back, so the lender LOST 3/4ths of the value of the money they lent. That's DEMOCRATIC policies intentionally produce inflation and rob people of their money.

The same is true of both parties. It must be a very tiny minority of people who actually agree with either of them at this point. A vote for the Dems is usually more of a vote against the GOP, and vice versa. Even on here, the right-wing nutjobs never actually post anything in support of Trump - all they do is criticize Biden.

The funny thing is, it's not like the left have even drifted too far left (far from it) - it's just that they're focusing on the most unpopular parts of leftist ideology, instead of things like universal healthcare, which an overwhelming majority of the public support.

It's inexcusable really. With Trump being the unmitigated disaster that he was, and the GOP still choosing to defend him (abandoning reality and decency in the process), that should have made them unelectable for decades to come - all it needed was for the Democrats to do a half-decent job, and focus on the policies that most people care about and support.

This is because the left is in power, with all the major cultural institutions, the bureaucracy, and now major corporations (through ESG targets and having the Federal Reserve Bank as the dominant investor) under their control. The left never throws their vanguard elite intellectuals under the bus, regardless of how unpopular, dangerous (rioters), or ridiculous they are. This has the effect of putting pressure on the left to drift even more leftward over time. The right is the opposite. William F. Buckley and the neoconservatives ostracized any conservative intellectuals to their right or who were anti-establishment. The neoconservatives stay within the bounds of discourse that the left permits. This controlled opposition (there is a lot to suggest that Buckley was on the CIA payroll) has the effect of making the conservative movement drift left, just further behind than the left itself.

Maybe. While I may not agree with Bill Maher politically most the time I occasionally watch "Real time" because he's still funny. And he occasionally makes a good point. For example he called out liberals on their hyperbolic statements during the BLM movement such as "black people are worse off then they've ever been in the history of this country". "OK we get the point you're trying to make he said". " But this why people stop listening to us", he said. When you say something that is obviously not true like that.

You can say the same about the right. There is no such thing as extreme left or right. Because what was extreme on both sides has been the norm and has been for years now. People attempt to provide examples of this not being true. But the examples that show this being the truth will ultimately be a higher number. But people will continue to fight this losing battle the prove that their side has not been extreme for many years. Because the reality is too harsh for them to accept.

Pretty much true. The problem is, a lot of that mental contingent is in Congress and they hold positions of power, mostly in the Republican side of the Senate. Pelosi may be whacked, but when you have to deal with McConnell, McCarthy, Johnson, Cruz - those guys are over the edge idiots.
