Guys don’t have their heads shaved, it’s as simple as that.
Also I do wish fuckwits would stop with the Gender Equality thing.
IED’s, Rockets, Snipers are very much in to equality.

as I said IED’s don’t care about gender,

As @SaoirseS has said you are a complete joke, you don’t deserve any respect, unlike women who do serve their respective countries.
What an utter Cockwomble
I too wish these questions about "gender equality/equity" would stop. They're childish, and come across like children going "why do I have to do it, (he/she) doesn't have to." Moreover, they most often come from keyboard warriors who have no idea about the realities of the military, heard what they wanted to hear from someone who is/was in the military, or reach back to the days of the Roman Empire (before invention of gunpowder) to argue a point. It isn't their fathers' military. It's changed, and it's changed in the 3.5 years I've been in ARNGUS. GAG has plenty of people who post questions to antognize men, women, Christians, Americans, British, atheists - you name it. This is a shining example of that.
With maybe a few exceptions, people (men and women) don't join the military to make a statement, they join to be of service. There are too many who think women join the military to be like men. We aren't like men, and never claimed to be. But there are quite a few jobs women can do equally as well as men, and some (not all) are capable of performing in combat arms roles, the last bastion of men-only units. As you point out, there are women serving in high-risk specialties like EOD, and women have been assigned or attached to direct combat engineer units since Vietnam.
If you take a look at the tooth-to-tail ratio in each of the services, for every front line soldier there are at least six (gender immaterial) who perform in service and support roles. That doesn't include the branch and DOD civilian components, and they are equally vital to a strong military.
We don't fight wars a la Saving Private Ryan. In modern warfare there are no clear front lines, and no safe rear areas. As you point out, IEDs don't discriminate between rank or gender. The physical strength argument is moot when you consider how many died on their butts in a vehicle from IEDs. And nothing will save anyone from a mortar or artillery round that hits a GP medium.
@SaoirseS well said.
I personally think these types of posts and fuckwits that moan about women in the military are demeaning to those that have sacrificed themselves to the service and those who put themselves in to harms way.

Bit of irony as well tbh.
Just make them speed run the gas chamber over and over again without a ponytail holder, hair clip, or bobby pins... They may not be available on the battlefield. Hair must be in natural state. If they can tie their hair into a pony tail with their own hair on their head and fit a gas mask quick enough to be an effective war fighter then then they can keep it. If they can't then just make them repeat it over and over again until they are successful. Each time they fail, shark attack them and then tell them it can all be over just shave your head and pass this test.
No, lol.
As much as it sucks, the military still has some "Christian Values" I'll say.
The whole purpose is to RECRUIT females. The amount of female recruits would decrease significantly if we were forced to shave our heads (some of us had to cut it regardless). & When i first joined females WERE NOT ALLOWED to shave our heads anyways. It was considered "trendy" and our hair length had to be a minimum of like 1/4 inch or some shit.
I'm not sure about male's grooming standards and protocol in basic, but it'd be nice if they just gave you a haircut thats in regs. Not everyone had a bald head when I went through, so I'm not sure what exactly determined that.
If the not shaved heads give any issues or problem while doing the job, then regardless of gender, shaving needs to be done.

Equity or equality. Equality is what the left figured out it couldn't achieve. Not if it wanted to still be its fascist self. So it went over to equity which is something totally different. Equity shoots for starving everybody instead of just some people having food. Or a better example would be if everyone can't be rich then everyone's going to be poor. That's how they are. They're destructive and they practice is destructive nihilistic narcissistic philosophy. They think they're really smart they're really dull minded and weak-willed. That is why they fall for propaganda easy That's the kind of thinking that comes with equity. That's probably what you're shooting at
Are you even military? If so, I don't think you have a dog in this fight, my guy. They just passed a regular saying women can have ponytails now as an upgrade to AR 670-1.
Personally wish they would allow beards for guys if they wanna do that, but that's just me.
There is no gender equality... makes and females are different, not equal, so no women head shaving. Men and women should have equal opportunity, but we should not try to make them equal. There's a reason why Mother Nature made men and women different.
In theory, yes. In practice, gender equality is a stupid goal as men and women are fundamentally different and therefore unequal. Some things women strive at, some things men strive at. It's always been true and it always will be true. That all said, if women want to join the military, they should have EXACTLY the same requirements for all things, physical and looks
I would let it be as it is. I don't think a hairstyle has much influence on your performance in the military. I would keep it short or at least put it in a bun
Sure why not I think women with short hair are ugly as fuck but in the interest of gender equality which the genders are equal but not at the same time it’s complicated as far as military goes shave it off
They... they don't already? The whole point of that is to prevent head lice; do they think that doesn't happen to women?
Tbh the whole point is almost never practical
I don’t think women or men should have to shave their heads if they’re in the military
Ummm yes lol
How are the supposed to be these tough warrior fighters if they allow them to look all girly.
Shaved head makes them look more serious
They shave your head in the military so it's not in the way and can't be grabbed in hand to hand combat.
You may be able to tie it away but that's up to the military.
if the argument is that having long hair is deadly in combat, then definitely. why should women be able to choose their hairstyle in the army, when men can't?
I always thought they did. Don't they? They did in the "GI Jane" movie with Demi Moore.
Yes, they should. They shave everyone's heads to make them lose their individuality. It should be the same for women.

Probably the reason for the short hair styles was account of head creatures. AKA Head lice.
If that is still an issue. Then yes. Equal hair styles.
Yup, If the male recruits have to be subjected to the 'buzz cut' then the same should apply to female recruits, they want equality that is part of it.
Yes. In a situation where men have to women should have to as well. There’s no reason the military should be made more comfortable for women at the cost of effectiveness. If they don’t like it, then they shouldn’t join roles that require it.
They shouldn't, because we only use gender equality when it's good for us.
Looool
No. The purpose of shaved heads was historically to frvent an enemy tugging your hair back to slit your throat... why would we want to deny thw female demographic's ancestry that learning experience?
Shave their heads, in that spirit, so the trannies can be in rhythm with their male pattern baldness.
No. Gender equality has to do with civil equal opportunities and treatment. The military isn't normal citizen life.
Should be what’s best for the military. Usually short hair for gas masks, lice etc, is the norm. So yeah.
Anyone who believes the military holds women to the same standards as men is fooling themselves.
equality of this kind has no value to society. they shouldn't be female recruits at all
I don't believe in either gender or human equality.
100% should.
Shaven head is also done for performance, gas mask fits better etc
If Men are forced to shave their heads then Women should shave their heads too
Yes, they should also have the same standarts as men for entering the millitary
No. I don’t think so.
Or better still, should guys not have to?
No, we should just stop making anyone get their hair cut.
no stupid
a women should not shave her glory
Lol no.
Why not
Why can't women have their heads shaved?
Since when has long hair ever been pro in regards to the military I mean, not modeling?
Men didn't ask to be equal to women and need to sit to pee. Red herring though. It's not about me or you, it's about the fact long hair is against military strategy.
The whole reason we cut our hair is because Rome figured long hair (and facial hair) could be grabbed. Good for being dommed in the bedroom, that's it. Military personnel sign up to be fighters.
Go ahead. I'm better than all of them. I have no insecurities.
Who sits around with half a platoon of military men? Imagine what this girl's into y'all.
Will it add to their performance?
Shave heads and everything else the men get.
You don't need a haircut to operate a drone.
No as it would affect recruitment
That is not in the spirit of gender equality
yep.
Yes they should
I think they should.
No..
Yeah
