Honestly, I don’t even fuck with politics, the whole shit is stupid, I consider myself a sovereign citizen of earth, I don’t believe conceptually in borders, nations, governments, etc. Humans are wild animals like all the rest, we just lost sight of that and are doing too much, more than nature would ever approve of, if natural order could talk. So I can never give any government of any sort any real credence, because I’m not looking to be governed, protected, any of that shit. I’m a lone wolf, I have to live SOMEWHERE, and America is just where I got dropped off, I don’t have any particular allegiance to here, nor would I anywhere else, that shit just doesn’t jive with what my soul tells me is right.

All that aside, in the context of “ok, well I guess we’re actually doing all this stupid shit whether I agree with it or not and I’m just dragged along for the ride against my will”…. I don’t think Biden is that bad. He’s adequate, he’s unexciting. He’s a plain donut.

What’s happening, in my estimation, is conservative media is telling people what to think about Biden, and conservative politicians are doing anything and everything that they can to stymie Biden from getting anything done, not even based on lack of merit to the ideas, but very deliberately. I don’t care about politics, but I’m HIGHLY annoyed by obvious nonsense, and I think I’m going to flip a table in about six or seven months when the midterms elections start nearing, and mark my words and today’s date, the narrative from Conservatives and their media will be “look at this guy, he did NOTHING!” Same as when Trump was telling people to watch out for shenanigans in the 2020 election in like August, and then people were still actually surprised when he pulled his whole stunt? Like he literally primed everyone for him taking that angle. Am I the only person with eyes and ears? Jesus CHRIST, people…🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

All the things Biden is catching heat for, I haven’t really heard it ever accurately characterized on FoxNews, which I hear constantly now that my elderly father is with me. Going to FoxNews for Biden news is like going to MSNBC for Trump news, lmfao, they have NO INTEREST in saying a positive word about him. That’s not the narrative they’ve been contracted to push.

Let’s go down the list:

-Afghanistan…. what did he do all that wrong? First off, no president has any fucking idea about military strategy, they have generals who advise them. Also, he said from the rip that we were pulling out at a certain time, we can’t hold Afghanistan’s hand forever just because we don’t lIke the Taliban, we’ll leave you some US weaponry, you’re welcome, everybody who wants out start getting out now because after the stated time and date, you’re on your own out there. The suicide bombing would’ve happened no matter who was President, it’s silly to blame Biden. And the Afghani government ousside out and lost all the weaponry we gave them. They folded like a fucking card table, practically the first week. How is that Biden’s fault? Your beef is with Afghanistan there. But conservative politicians love dead soldiers because they use that emotional leverage with their military-loving voter base.

Any economist with half a brain knows the economic cycle will get to where we are today after a worldwide pandemic, shutdowns, supply chain issues, etc. Everyone got upset about the pipeline he “shut down” that wasn’t even built yet, and I’m fully in support of choosing the environment over cheaper gas for ourselves, holy fuck, what kind of shitty person wouldn’t? The border is a forever-boogeyman for racist right wingers and working class people who love politicians who can tell them to blame someone else for their troubles and station in life who probably don’t love the idea of brown people in their country either, in many cases.

And the biggest mind-blower to me is that the right wing refuses vaccines, mask mandates, literally everything we needed to do to curtail this pandemic, THAT’S the people we can thank for extending all this because everyone else has to still worry about protecting them, even when they don’t have enough sense to protect themselves. But of course, they’d never take responsibility for that, so it’s always someone else’s fault.

I don’t know, I could go on, but from the second Biden took office, the right really seems to want to beat his name into the ground in retaliation for people (honestly in many cases RIGHTLY) denigrating Trump. It was like “oh yeah? Watch THIS!” “Let’s go, Brandon” was a humorous misunderstanding that was funny for like a week, but you look like an absolute nerd if you’re still saying it or wearing the t-shirt or driving around with the bumper sticker, holy fuck, I’m so second-hand embarrassed for these people. I’m not telling you Biden is a great President, but my life is absolutely fine when he took office, the exact same way it was fine when Trump was in office, the same way it was fine when Obama was in office, GWB, Clinton, GHB, Reagan, Carter….. this whole thing is a big show, the biggest mistake a person can make is to take it at all seriously and allow people who aren’t you to truly affect your life. If you can’t afford an extra $40

High inflation is a global phenomenon due partially to supply chain issues which the far right fake news is also encouraging (i. e. trucker protests), and also partially due to corporate greed, which the far right fake news is funded by and so doesn't criticize.

The border isn't porous in any way but the far right fake news just says it is, carefully neglecting to mention republicans blocking all of Biden's border security nominations in the senate.

The Afghanistan pullout was a roaring success by any measure, especially considering the hasty timeline with no plan the prior administration left us with and the attempted coup instead of a normal transfer of power that would have left an incoming administration better prepared, but the far right fake news doesn't mention the numbers one would measure the pullout by or the fact that it was the prior administration who decided to negotiate entirely with the Taliban instead if the Afghan government (that's what makes far right news fake).

Indeed, it's hard to contemplate why more people aren't aware of any of this. My guess is because this information is boring and the far right fake news is definitely entertaining. They've poured billions into becoming so, after all..

Anyway, no, for example, CNN was pretty much indistinguishable from Fox during the Afghanistan pullout. Neither mentioned the prior administration ignoring the Afghan government and negotiating entirely with the Taliban. Neither mentioned the national security nominations being stonewalled by republicans in the Senate. Neither mentioned how the attempted coup might have gummed up the transfer of power thus making the timeline agreed to with the Taliban even more rushed.

And Fox doesn't even hide the fact that they are functionally just a campaign arm of the Republican party. Like, when Cuomo advised his brother they fired him, as CNN at least has that much of a standard. But when Ingrahm and Hannity were caught advising trump during his coup, there were no repercussion, because short of violating any of Fox's standards, everyone knows that's their job.
