I'm ok with it. Abortion should be illegal but I'm ok with it in rape cases. Too many do gooders both left and right think there is some kind of magic utopia positions where there is no death rape theft crime etc. Not possible. Im thinking about a woman to be married who is raped and now the fiance bails on her. Its already a lot to deal with rape but the baby? You just ruined those peoples lives. Especially a family with 4 kids and the husband and wife break up over a rape child. They already may just over the rape forget about another child. Who is hurt there? The parents the existing kids. Sorry to kill a baby but its not the womans responsibility.
Now people will use an example about a man hanging from a flagpole off a skyscraper. Except thats not a good example, yes you must let him hold on until the fire rescue comes. However the real equivalent would be if you were forced to feed him and make special accommodations for him for 9 months to squat out there on your building as he's damaging it. Yeah no, not your problem.
Abortion is murder, straight up, no matter what the situation is. When the sperm fertilizes tne egg, and the spark of life happens, that is a child, the child is made, and is being developed in the mothers womb. Even if the woman was raped, can't she forgive the man who did it? And let the child which was born be raised up with love and be turned into something positive rather than negative? That child deserves to live, no matter what circumstances were behind it being made.
Also, who set any woman to be a arbiter over whether or not a child dies? Would they agree if their parents wanted to murder them before they were born? Even if the rape happened, there are plenty of families who want to have kids, can't, but will give a child a loving home to be in if they adopt them. Give them up for adoption, but don't murder the child.
Do you really want to force a rape victim to have a child that she doesn't, and on top of that, do you think she should forgive the rapist and turn the creature that was the fruit of her trauma into something positive?
With your answer, I finally managed to understand that you see women as inferior and simple incubators even for rapists. I'm not surprised that pro-life men want to force rape victims to do something they don't want to do, after all, I've been raped and receive daily judgments from conservatives for it.
It's the first time I've seen someone talking about forgiving the rapist and turning it into something positive, but I'm not surprised.

You falsely accuse me of "forcing" the woman to have the child, I didn't argue to force her at all. I suggested she have the child, forgive the man who did it to her, and let the situation turn for the better, and give the child a chance to live. Stop falsely accusing people of forcing people to do something, as well as considering men who are pro-life to see women as incubators and notning else. I do feel that a victims of rape should seek medical attention right away, whether they plan to press charges or not, I realize why this is difficult but they need to have their injuries assessed possibly get a morning after pill (these were available to rape victims in ERs many years before they were available to the all women) and also possibly take post exposure prophylaxis if there is any concern of HIV transmission.
These people tend to be ultra religious and see a baby as a gift from God. As it's from God it can't be discarded. They believe that the rapist was sent by god to bless you with a child. The logical extensions of that belief is rape is God's will and not a crime. People against abortion rape are as guilty as the rapist.

It’s still murder I hate to say it because I do have sympathy for victims of rape. But again just because somebody raped you doesn’t mean you have the right to murder a child go ahead and do whatever the hell you want to the rapist take a knife fucking cut off his balls such as the road torture the crap out of them. Do whatever torturous sadistic thing you want to do to the rapist but don’t kill the unborn child. The mother has two options at this point either mother of their hood or adoption.

If that’s the way you want to put it yes. You don’t have the right to kill someone that’s not in self defense. So you have the right to kill the rapist but you don’t have the right to kill the unborn baby the unborn baby isn’t attacking you therefore you don’t have the right to kill it
The person raped should be intitled to an abortion since she was impregnated because of a violent act against her, and she had no say. I say that if people who say she must keep the child that would only remind her of the violence against her, that they be told that they have to care and nurture the child of violence at their expense no help from the government. Let us see if their tune changes.
the decision to abort or not should lie with the concerned woman only. anyone saying she's "obligated to proceed with the pregnancy" can stick their words up their ass. are they the one pushing out the baby of a rapist? are they the one paying for child care? i believe abortions should only happen with the confirmation of the involved woman, whatever the case may be.
Victims of rape should have the right to have an abortion, and they DO have that right everywhere in the US. But let's be real here... the VAST majority of abortions are done by women who decide they don't want to be, or are not ready to be a parent.
I sympathize with them and would like to support their right to make that choice, but I will NOT support that right for women until men have the same right, which is to say men should also have the right to decide they don't want to be, or are not ready to be a parent.
I am for women's rights. Under any circumstance you should be able to choose BUT for a limited time and the idea of a heartbeat being a timeframe to say the pregnancy is now a second life sits good with me. At that point abortion should only be allowed to save the life of the mother.
Because ultimately, the question is this. Is that a human life? If so, then abortion is immoral and should be illegal under any circumstance as it is murder. Why should the innocent baby, pay for the sins of the father? Would these same people be okay with killing living people born out of rape, or if their mothers didn't want them?
How is the innocent woman paying here? Are you calling the babies life a sin? The baby is more hers than it is his. It has her DNA.

Pregnancy is the only time a person is required to give up their bodily autonomy to sustain the life of another. It’s easy for you to write off the difficulties of pregnancy and child birth, and how terrifying the whole experience is, because you will never be expected to endure it yourself. I am not writing anything off. I am well aware how hard it is and how hard it would be. Regardless, a babies life is more worth it. It's easy for you to write off being ripped apart in a womb limb by limb because you'll never experience it yourself. As a former baby who was nearly aborted, I have every right to speak about the matter. How is it different? Both is the direct ending of an innocent human life.

Is it okay to force someone to pay tax when they don't want to? What about alimony? What about living when they try suicide? What if they want to murder someone? Is it okay to force them to stop?
Like most abortions overall, the majority of rape victims get their abortions early enough that nobody is getting ripped apart.

There are also many pro life women. This isn't a male only thing. You don't have to face an issue for you to talk about it. That's a fallacy. It's not that I'm not empathetic. I'm a very sensitive person. And very empathetic. I get it. Rape is horrible. But I always think logically. The poor baby did nothing wrong. It didn't have a choice how it came into being. Why kill the poor thing. That's all. We beg for mercy on behalf of the voiceless so that they can have the most fundamental right, the basic, bare minimum right. The right to live. Do you think that a woman who has become pregnant due to rape will accept help from others who have also forced her to do what she doesn't want to do? I have already suffered sexual abuse from my cousins, if I got pregnant and they forced me to have the fruit of my rape, the last thing I would do is have contact with someone who forced me to do something for the second time.

Sure. If you wanted to get drunk, that is within your rights. However, if you want to get drunk and jump off a cliff and kill yourself, your bodily autonomy is legally compromised. Since we talk about bodily autonomy, I'd also like to mention... what about the bodily autonomy of the baby? It is the same for both individuals correct? Then on what authority, can you take away the babies bodily autonomy and rip it limb by limb? The dependancy of the child in the womb is a responsibility for the mother until the time of birth, when the mother's full "so called" autonomy can be regained. Because a right is only a right if it does not infringe that of another. Should a mother not provide a newborn with breastmilk and let the baby starve to death on accouny of her "bodily autonomy?" To deny it is immoral and illegal and the mother would be directly responsible for the murder of the child. The mother's right to bodily autonomy does not triumph over that of the babies. Both are within equal rights. Infact, the baby more so, in account of it's vulnerability.

When you have two beings where their bodily autonomies are in conflict, one will inevitably violate the other. Why does the fetus get that preference? The fetus requires the vitamins and nutrients from the woman’s body. She is sacrificing her health. The fetus only takes. For this reason, it’s own bodily autonomy simply does not take precedence over the women, who is the one taking the risk.
Once the child is born a mother does not have to provide breast milk. Anybody can now care for and feed the baby. It is not feeding off the mother, unless she allows it.
A fetus does not have equal rights to the woman’s body. It is hers.

That is not true, if Men don't pay child support they go to prison, where they can be forced to do labor, or raped or worse. Men are literally LEGALLY BOUND to have their bodily autonomy violated if they can't sustain the life of their child.

Why shouldn't women have obligations to take care of their children in the womb? Why are they allowed to MURDER their children, but men can't even say "I don't want to have a child"? Pretty rare. 1% of abortion cases cite rape as a reason to abort. Though I do not think the child deserves to die in this situation because they haven't done anything wrong I can see people having that as a compromise to abort it.
