From a purely functional standpoint, it would make a LOT more sense to just organize and then refuse to work. A good outbreak of the blue flu (or would it be "blue Covid?") would get the message across of helluva lot faster. But that would cause more suffering among the people who are already victims of these policies, and frankly, we can get by without Washington a lot longer than we can get by without, say, farmers.
Given that the Biden administration has already been quietly pushing to label people opposed to the overreach as "domestic terrorists", and that so many places are already rolling back restrictions, though, I think we're headed for trouble.
It would honestly make more sense for the truckers to go to the capitals of states that still have excessive and draconian restrictions on the economy, which, when it is all said and done, have done more harm to working class people than COVID strains ever did. As long as federalism is still the primary rule, and while the Feds have done excessive hysteria too, federalism still is, then let the protests be done in the various states first and foremost.

Personally I think we have way bigger issues to be protesting about, like the Patriot act and income tax. Both of which were previous "temporary emergency powers" the government put in that never left.

The vast majority of things our government spends our money on are things they have no business doing. The only reason our roads will go away is if they want to punish us for making them get rid of income tax.
I don't know what planet you're on, but there's plenty of federal covid restrictions in place. Biden just extended the "national emergency declaration" indefinitely. There are still national vaxx mandates for healthcare workers.

@TheBigWhistle The only reason there were so many jobs "created" is because the government a lot of jobs were allowed to open again after the vaccine came out and then Biden brought up the idea of mandates and got a bunch of people fired again because businesses adopted the idea without Biden even doing anything yet. The people who got fired don't think the government has the right to mandate vaccines in some sort of pseudo social credit system or were ineligible for it and their job said too bad.
From what little I know, sounds like a legit protest to me. Will be funny if Biden doesn't send troops to confront them tho since he told Trudeau to crush the freedom truckers in Canada. But if he does do what Canada did that'd be a mistake.
