It also depends on other conditions. A month ago I would say Republicans are going to win, because Biden was very unpopular, but now as a war started, it may raise (it's common, when there's a crisis people gather around the current leader - after World Trade Center attack Bush' approval rating rose to 90%, because people were scared and president is a symbol of stability) so there are chances that Democrats hold the office. It depends how long the war would last.

Fuck that noise. Russia and Ukraine will never make the potato popular. Because the jackasses approved 13.6 fucking billion dollars in aid? That will hurt the potato and heals up kackling harris to no bounds. 13.6 billion that should be pumped into this country or not at all. Reminds me of gender studies money going to Afghanistan. What a fucking joke.

Not to sound all conspiratorial but this last election was iffy with all the rule changing for "racial" reasons and Covid. I know A lot of people rather would've had Biden because they didn't like Trump, but based on how he's doing I don't think he can conjure that mysterious 80 million votes again.

5.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. At present, I don't think Biden will run for reelection. The Democrats are going to pull someone else to be a figurehead, but they've put themselves in really deep hole because while normally a sitting Vice President is the obvious choice, she's disliked if not outright hated across the board with an even lower approval rating than Joe. The (true) joke is that even Dick Cheney had a higher approval after he shot his hunting partner than Kamala does after only one year on the job. The other problem is that almost everyone else in the line of succession is also despised garbage and in many cases are people who have power entirely due to appointments and would never win elections. Media rhetoric seems to really want people to support Hillary Clinton or Pete Buttigieg, but they'd be much better off propping up either a mostly unknown person who isn't up to their neck in swamp water, or rallying behind Michelle Obama and pandering to the "remember when we appeared to be less crazy?" and "let's nominate a woman" strategy.
One would think that this dumpster fire of an administration with zero successes (so far) to run on would spoon-feed an easy Republican victory in 2024, but it's way too early to say that for certain, and if the Republicans are universally good at anything, it's snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. They, as usual, have a much wider variety of distinctively different candidates who could run, but this frequently results in a rather squishy RINO becoming the nominee while the more serious conservative vote gets split, and it takes very little for a nominal Republican whos only hard stance is "low corporate taxes" to fail a campaign, especially when voters are getting increasingly irritated with feeling like they have to choose the least stinky candidate from garbage choices.00 Reply6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Incumbents have about a 70% chance of winning re election, historically. Sadly, what seems to drive most of the support is name recognition and incumbents always have that advantage. Something has to go very wrong in real life (like it did for Trump) or misinformation has to go very right (like it did for Carter) for this advantage to be surmountible. As it happens nothing is going particularly wrong, Biden is doing a above average job, but it's also true funding for right wing misinformation has increased by orders of magnitude since the Carter years. So I would put the chances at 50/50, myself.
We will see what the midterms turn out, though. Despite the democrats' nonstop success, republicans have quietly made moves to prevent democrats from voting or just refuse to count their votes even when they jump through all the hoops. Midterm turnout is usually lower than presidential years but if this year is an outlier even by that standard we'll know republicans have succeeded in voter suppression and thus Biden's chances drop to the low 20s..013 Reply- +1 y
You and I have an ENORMOUS difference in opinion on Biden's performance. I am a Centrist-Moderate; and Biden has been doing HORRIBLY. He has f*cked almost everything up. Data supports this. Highest inflation, highest deaths of COVID in 1 year, highest violent crime, highest gas prices (ever since Biden closed the pipeline), highest illegal migrant border crossings
- +1 y
Oh and soaring violent crime.
- +1 y
Oh, you're not a centrist moderate. You're so obviously brainwashed by far right misinformation I don't even believe you still trick people into giving you the credibility of claiming neutrality for more than 5 seconds.
Like the pipeline. Everyone who isn't a far right hate addict simping for their dealer knows the pipeline wouldn't have been completed until 2030 anyway. But the far right fake news likes to pretend it's somehow relevant because they know no one will ever vote for a Republican based on merit. - +1 y
Biden earned nearly $1 million from the University of Pennsylvania, said he was a "professor", screw your misinformation, that's direct from the potato heads mouth in front of god and everyone. You sad sad sack.
- +1 y
Same state that has trannies competing as women. Why did Pennsylvania put up cardboard again?
- +1 y
What the fuck is a whatboutism? I gave one example of hundreds of Biden's lies and all you can talk about is misinformation, as if there is one person in this world that can tell the world what is and what is not misinformation in the first place. Plus lefties control 99.9% of media, hollywood, fact checkers, big tech, etc. etc. Be fucking proud. Proud that Americans in general do not agree with your libtardism.
- +1 y
Huh? It's common fucking sense.

@normalice It's unbelievable how much you support the potato. Right wing tells me what to think about words that come straight from his mouth? Insanity. You just like MSM, interpret his bs, and tell us what he really is saying? Straight from the horses mouth. No, it's not what he is saying. He's totally not inept, "this is what he really is saying." What the hell?
- +1 y
Forget coming to any conclusion on policies. That is what sane people might attempt. You really can say you aren't so radical with a straight face vs everything on the "dark side?"
+1 yhmm... tough one. As a non American I think Biden has done an OK job. He made the right choice to get out of Afghanistan but how it went down was a blunder. What is happening negatively with the economy is largely out of his hands. His attempts to deal with Covid have been handcuffed by a large segment of the US population who would rather risk death than follow their President. He has played a big part in unifying and leading the world against the invasion of the Ukraine. He has repaired a lot of damage internationally done by Trump. But I still cannot get over how old he is. I think if the Democrats chose a better candidate they would win. The Republicans sadly have gone down a dead end road with the cult of Trump. There just will not be enough people willing to vote Republican because of their shift to the far right. So no to Biden and yes to Democrats. Does this make sense?
00 Reply5.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think there is a decent chance he will be re-elected, but it is too early to tell.
However, the situation now is not unlike what Ronald Reagan was going through 14 months in office in March 1982... In 1984, he was re-elected in a landslide and much of that had nothing to do with him, but with predictable world events turning in his favor. Despite what is happening now, trends will be positive but 2024, so it is looking good. However, the GOP needs to put up a decent candidate who will appeal to the middle independent voter. That may not happen because right now, only extremist Trumpsters would survive the GOP primaries, but those Trumpsters do not have wide appeal with the middle which is why Trump lost the election in 2020. Furthermore, I doubt Trump will run in 2024 because he may be facing serious legal trouble by then.00 Reply- 1.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yI think you won’t see a Democrat in office until around 2078. Most people are kinda close to middle of the road. Biden and his administration are far left. He won’t even get the pipeline rolling despite the huge increase in gas prices. Those prices are certain to go higher. He’s more worried about the mating habits of the N. American Sparrow than you getting to work and getting the kids to soccer practice. American’s won’t forget that or the other high prices caused by leftism.

+1 yI think with the energy in the world now in which there is great uncertainty, America wants a stronger, traditional leader in order to feel safe and that they have a voice. In other words, not Biden. Nobody cares about diversity and electing people into supreme court who are black. We care about strength and courage when times get dire.

+1 yI think that if the Democrats nominate him again, they'll be all but conceding every election in doing so. Even THEY aren't that out of touch- I hope not, at least. You'd need a pretty big change to win back people the party's driven away, though, and I'm not sure who that would be. Maybe someone BELOW the national life expectancy; that'd be a nice change.
10 ReplyHe was never elected the first time, so death aside, he has a 99% chance of having a "second" term. If the Democrats completely got away with cheating once, why the hell would they NOT do it again?

+1 yHis chances are slim to none in my opinion, and for the sake of America, let’s hope we don’t end up with another democrat. We need a Republican to balance things out, fix our economy, and restore order and respect not just in our own country but in others.
00 Reply12.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I am a conservative republican but I respect the two party system. Zero chance for Gropey Joe. Democrats have gone much too far to the left, approaching fascism, socialism and even communism. To save their party, Democrats need to ignore all the crazies and search for a traditional liberal democrat.

+1 yI hope he doesn't run. I voted for him because Trump had to be removed, but I didn't really want to. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of 75-80 + men with no vision being President. Both parties need someone younger, and SANE, to represent them. For the Repubs, that rules out DeSantis, Jeb Bush, or pretty much anyone currently. For the Dems, that rules out Harris and anyone else I see in their party. Interestingly enough, the sanest guy in their ranks is gay mayor Pete.

You are a d bag. How many times must it be pointed out? You didn't vote based on views, values, or opinions. You voted for a turd sandwich that is 100x worse than the Orangeman. Are you stupid?
- +1 y
Buttjudge? Retarded, you do know they are just reps? Voting based on personalities you don't like vs policies is as dumb as it gets. Trump needs to be reinstated. For fraudulent time, plus 4 years. We don't live in a just world.
- +1 y
@ticonderoga2 Let's start by pointing out that your moronic reply had nothing to do with either my comment, or the post. In my opinion, 4 years of Trump was the worst shit I've lived through since the first 4 years of Dubya. Yes douche bucket - MY opinion.
Now let's talk about "stupid". LMAO. You sit there still spouting the Big Lie, which even according to Bill Barr who was his main girlfriend for a while, Trump himself doesn't really believe. And I'M retarded? You're a goddamn idiot!
How many judges dismissed every single attempt to claim fraud, or a violation of states laws, or whatever other bullshit the idiot Guiliani thought to do? How many? Don't try and think, it's not your strong suit, I'll tell you - 62 judges - and that includes NINE of his own appointees, including SCOTUS. Not ONE judge in any state had ANY evidence of widespread fraud presented that was provable. So go back to the minor leagues because you're 0 for 62.
Trump is the worse douchebag in my opinion, the definitive turd sandwich. You're just like him - can't accept defeat. Even Hilary conceded like an honorable person, something that your fuhrer knows nothing about. You're right about one thing - it's an unjust world, and your hero knows ALL about how to keep it that way.

like without his provocation of moving into ukraine, putin would never have done that. i think the usa has to take part of the blame for whats happening over there.00 Reply 27.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Biden has been a disaster and will not seek a second term.
