What do Americans call Coloured people in America?

Coloured people are a multi racial or multi ethnic group comprising of various races that had been mixed over a period of 300 years in South Africa, beginning with Slaves importanted from The Dutch East u dia company. Various people from South Asia and South East Asia had been exiled to serve the Dutch in the East India slave trade coming from Mozambique, Malaya, java , Indonesia, etc. And all Dutch territories in Asia

It depends on who you are. If you;re white, you're SUPPOSED to call them, African--Americans, which doesn't make any sense at all because they weren't born in Africa! A lot of people still prefer to just call them blacks but, if you're black, apparently it's perfectly alright to call other blacks, "n**". I don't see why we can't just call each other human beings. What does the pigmentation of your skin have to do with anything? Although, a LOT of blacks MAKE IT a huge deal! It's perfectly fine for them to make fun of people that AREN'T black but it's a HUGE no-no for those non-blacks to make fun of, comment or make any kind of an issue about people NOT being white!

I believe it used to be "colored people" here in the states as well, but it has now changed to "people of color," which I don't quite understand the difference.

I expect it to change again and again and again.

I actually don't have any interaction with Hispanic people unless
I go to a Mexican restaurant so I pretty much never refer to them
at all. I have Black friends and They all are ok with black.
