From my observations women are usually voluntarily single snd men are involuntarily single when all else is equal.

My theory is women more often than not try to “date up”. They have more demands, expectations and entitlement when it comes dating. The “in demand” guys settle for it while scoring other side girls who are competing for him. But this female judgment screws up everything to begin with.

What you’re describing is a phenomenon called hypergamy. It’s been around since before recorded history, and explains why less than half of the males that ever lived have living descendants today. Believe it or not, hypergamy has actually helped the human race evolve towards a stronger more competitive species by selecting the stronger healthier smarter higher quality men to be able to have children. Evolutionary time is a much longer field than social time however, so the female of the species which evolved to vastly prefer being the tenth wife of a Gates or Bezos type man than to be the first wife of a janitor is still going to follow that hard coded desire even though it is no longer the way we socially organize.
