Is racism contagious?

I could normalise the idea of different races, but sometimes for instance if I am watching some celebrity who is black, or hanging around with a black friend. some close people to me of my race would point out to me their blackness very frequently, no matter what is the essence, their skin color will be the first notion, either in "a funny way" or actually mean way.

And I am not very unracist, sure I have my flows but I want to be comfortable at ignoring the racial barrier of others. No matter how naive or stupid that looks like.

Some people will come whisper you racist stuff, just so you can accept that and laugh it off, so they come clean. and you become the racist.

Racism isn’t contagious is hatred toward someone else you are not willing to accept. I came from a small town long ago and in that small town were all whites and we have 1 Mexican so some reason it’s in the middle of nowhere so it was odd. However nobody was racist toward this guy. Everyone loved him he was a cool chill guy that got along with everyone. Racism is passed down from generations. If your father or mother said racist slangs towards other people with the skin colors growing up I think you pick that trait up and not really thinking for yourself. News also plays a huge role in racism. Someone white killed a black person and news blows up. Sometimes it isn’t racist and the white guy tried to protect himself. Not saying it always happens but I’m not saying it doesn’t happen. Yet it stores everyone’s emotions and then people get angry and people start raging in the streets pulling the race card. I have no beef with no color skinned people. I like everyone equally. I don’t favor one skin color over another. Course I grew up with my folks loving everyone too so I think it helps children understand that other skin people aren’t bad people. Racism will always be out there because there will always be someone that won’t accept it

Facts and statistics, Negative personal experiences and another factors can make you a little racist. I believe in racial segregation because I strongly believe that colored people are responsible for most hate crimes and even if I thought that was acceptable I know they can't be held accountable without a backlash for false racial discrimination which my people will have to pay for, There is nowhere I can go because overly white spaces are targeted for diversification. We feel back into a corner and they makes us feel less sympathetic towards other peoples issues and will promote anger and resentment.

i think it might only be "contagious" if you're very young and can't think for yourself. children are a great example, if you make them think that races apart from yours are bad and evil, then that child will believe you without questioning it. but otherwise, i don't think it's contagious.

I don't think it is contageous but I do think those who points out "this is racist" are the most racist. Also, it is so overused, and the prefect excuse to do shitty things. If you don't like it, you're racist.

Like anything else people are only going to see what they want to see and that splits both ways on both sides of the argument. But its no more contagious than politics or religion. If your constantly looking for some thing you will find it, even if its only in your own mind.
