+1 yBlacks can not be racsit what can a black person say or do that will hurt a white person?( I need a answer)
Now black and other minority can be prejudices but racist no.
To be racist mean that u you think u are better than the other race.
Most black people feel inferior to white people secretly.(KEY WORD IS MOST NOT ALL ) SO IN return they that inferiority turn into hate or dislike or saying harsh things or sadness.
Now what white person feels inferior to black people. ( I want a answer) like really what white person is saying I feel less than that black guy over there.
So Blacks can be prejudice just not racist39 Reply- +1 y
Any race can be racist. It doesn’t matter what skin color you have you can still offend different races even white people. No one is ready for that talk.
- +1 y
I was dating someone and they told me that they’re mom didn’t like me solely for the reason that I’m white and she would rather have someone who’s not white for her son. This doesn’t mean white people experience more racism than POC this means that anyone can experience racism. I am white so what if my mom would have told me she didn’t like my current boyfriend because he was black. Now society says that’s racist but when it’s flipped it’s different when it should be equally as serious.
- +1 y
Also prejudice is a part of the definition racism.
- +1 y
@Daisyschon Exactly.
- +1 y
@mistixs it’s not racist it’s true, coming from a black man. Even though you probably don’t know and your parents never taught you this but black people were getting lynched only 60 years ago imagine that 60 years ago, and even though a lot of white people pretend slavery was so long ago it ended only 200 years ago really think about that. 200 years can be two lifetimes so slavery was really not that long ago. When you treat an entire group of people like animals for centuries of course most of them are going to feel inferior that’s just a fact and you privileged enough to not even have to care about black history because I know you probably don’t but I could be wrong
- +1 y
@Daisyschon you didn’t experience racism you experienced prejudice and it’s fairly common for black mothers to not want their sons to date white women (my mom included) and it stems from a variety of different things throughout history that you probably don’t know about, but I find it interesting how white people feel they can experience racism it’s like white propel think it’s cool and they feel left out or something but “I’m not white so I don’t know”(hint)
- +1 y
Man you’re embarrassing yourself
- +1 y
@Daisyschon this is absolutely incorrect. You cannot be racist to a white person. White people created racism. White people are the only race that benefit from racism, and the only race they have privilege based off the color of their skin. You cannot oppress the oppressor

Everyone of every race does experience it at one time or another, I'm sure, at least if they occasionally travel outside their own ethnic community.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yNot in America at this time. Racism is an institution where one group OPRESSES another racial group. It is not one black person talking crap about a white person. White people in America control most of politics and the media, and are therefore in a position of power to oppress racial minorities. I'm not saying that all media, politicians and white people are racist, I'm just saying they are the only ones that have the power to be.
Reverse racism is not real. Also I'm white.23 Reply- +1 y

This has got to be the most screwed up bullshit I have ever read in my entire life! I can’t count how many times in my 41 years of life that I have been called a “Cracker” or a “Honkey”. And I’ll be honest, I had no clue what the meaning of “Cracker” was till a few years ago. I though white people were called that due to being the color of a saltine cracker? The only was we are going to move past racism is come together as a HUMAN RACE, stand as one and stop talking about it. I’ve traced my family back on both my mother and fathers side, and no one in neither my mothers bloodline or my fathers blood line Were ever slave owners or slave traders, so I don’t have shit to apologize for, and we will not pay procreations for something we didn’t do to begin with, let alone to a generation who more then likely has never stepped foot on a cotton plantation, rice plantation or tobacco plantation. People, we can’t move forward with change if we continue to live in the past, and continue to allow racism to divide us. Am I racist? Not by a long shot, but taking down flags and monuments is not going to erase what happened. I don’t care what color you are, if you have a good heart, live right and just be a decent human being, it’s all good.
10 ReplyI think anyone can be prejudiced/biased. I know that many people believe that white people (automatically) have a subconsciously biased/racist mindset; although that is true about some white people, it's not true for all of them, and to be honest, that's prejudice in and of itself, to assume someone thinks a certain way about a certain race just because of their skin color. In other words, just as it is prejudice for a white person to make assumptions about someone based on their race, it is also equally as prejudice for a non-white person to make assumptions about a white person based on their race. Now, I do believe that racism and personal biases are two different things. Racism is the idea that a certain race is superior to another; personal bias/prejudice is basically a subconscious (racial) issue. For example, if a white person makes a derogatory comment about a non-white person, then that would (generally) be considered racist. Similarly, if a non-white person makes an assumption (solely based on race) that a white person must be prejudice, without even knowing them, then that would (generally) be considered prejudice/biased. Some people say that white people can't experience racism because “the oppressor cannot be oppressed themselves”, but I don't think that's necessarily true. I mean, instead of “racism”, it may be more appropriate to call it “prejudice/bias”, but overall, white people definitely can be discriminated against, just as anyone of any race can be.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yAll of y’all saying “that’s not racism that’s prejudice” please look up the definition of racism, here I’ll do it for you,
[ rac·ism
/ˈrāˌsizəm/
noun
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group. ]
see that first word, being prejudice towards someone because of this skin is being racist regardless of what colour they are.
white people cannot experience oppression because a white person will never not get a job because of their skin colour and so on and so forth.
I was at a blm protest and got screamed at and told to leave and “why the fuck is this white bitch even here” when I’m there to support because a lot of my family is black. Tell me how that’s not racism. Please tell me and if you try and say it’s prejudice please reread the definition of racism that i posted and you can even look it up yourself if you think I might have modified that definition in any way.11 Reply- +1 y

Everyone can be racist.
Prejudice is part of the definition of being racist look it up and you’ll find it.
Reverse Racism isn’t a thing because it’s called Racism
Racism NOT Blackism meaning it extends to every race.
To say that being white or Caucasian is not a race is in itself Racist.
Cracker, is a racist term used to remind white people or terrible things their ancestors did, (crack of a whip, therefore cracker) and IS Derogatory.
Minority doesn’t matter when it comes to weather your a racist or not.
Racism is your prejudice towards another racist.
To simplify.
“You can’t come in here because your a white Cracker” I. E not black
That is segregation.
Anyone and everyone can be racist.
Except for “Maybe” Blind people. (That’s a joke)20 Reply
+1 yThis is old question I have fumbled upon but, no, white people cannot experience racism. This being because racism is a system they have created to oppress people of color. This system cannot be used against them. They can be a victim of prejudice, which is not the same thing as racism. Prejudice is when someone negatively pre judges someone without getting to know them. Racism is the system that allows the racial group that’s already in power to retain power. Therefore, no, reverse racism cannot exist because no other minority has ever been in power besides white people.
22 Reply- +1 y
Also white priviledge does exist. White priviledge doesn’t mean white people have never struggled. It means they have never struggled or been discriminated against based of the color of their skin.

Unfortunately, there has been so much racism targeted at blacks, that blacks expect it from lots of white people - that's a form of racism. As a middle-aged white guy, I have to expect that lots of black folks will think that I am racist, so I go out of my way whenever possible to assuage their fears (like freely admit that I voted for Obama twice).

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yWhite people can’t experience racism due to, what you labeled “the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard of”, because they are white and have privilege. The excuse of “any race can experience racism” only applies to people of color, the minorities of America, but not to white people because they are the oppressors, the oppressors cannot be oppressed. However they do experiment prejudice due to their privilege, many people dislike white people because they are always at a higher advantage than people of color, they (white people) don’t experience fear on the basis of their skin color in the way black people do. Think of the wounds of the KKK and multiple lynchings, massacres, and attempted genocide of people of color that have happened, now thing of the extreme physical violence and actions against white people that have happened, there is nothing. White people can’t deny the literally fact that reverse racism doesn’t exist. Google “Why reverse racism doesn’t exist” to further your knowledge.
00 Reply2.7K opinions shared on Other topic. Black people are no longer oppressed. Yes they have some inequalities but not enough to claim oppression. Caucasian people are a race so yes indeed we can experience racism. Claiming me can't due to our skin colour is racist in itself

@csteve1564 And that’s part of the problem though. Not letting anyone move forward because of the actions of their ANCESTORS rather than the actions of THEMSELVES. Let people become their own person despite the history of their family because we all know damn well a lot of us don’t even agree with our parents on many subjects. If my father’s racist does that automatically make me racist? No, it doesn’t. Because I have a mind of my own, I get to choose whether or not I’ll continue to be a racist like my family or just be sane. Honestly I’d rather choose the latter. Being racist just involves too much stupidity.

@csteve1564 you should realize white people were killed too. if they helped, hung out, or even had a relationship with a POV. It’s so stupid for you to even say that “white people have no reason to like black people” dude I have came across SO MANY POC who hate on me bc I’m WHITE. FOR NO REASON. They assume I’m racist. I’m not. Matter of fact I hate people in general. White or pov. But that doesn’t mean I’m racist. Just means I hate stupid people. And your one of those people. Assuming that EVERY GOD DAMN WHITE PERSON and their ancestors have killed POV. Which is not true. I’ve researched my history and my ancestors. And tbh I dont have shit to apologize for on my side.
