+1 yThere are all kinds of "racisms" among and between every kind of people and cultures worldwide.
Black people are racist/prejudiced/biased toward other black people, toward whites, or multiple combinations of anybodies.
This usually is because of long-held prejudices and stereotypes whereever and among whomever.
"BLANKS, are worthless, lazy people." Fill in the blank. "Blanks, think they're better than blanks." "Blanks of this caste are inhuman." "Blanks are better in school than blanks." "Blanks are dumber than blanks." "We should never let blanks into our country."
Racism, culturalism, religiosity, regionalism, sexism, ageism, nationalism.
These have existed since time began. "Romans are superior to Visigoths." "Palestinians are worthless, lazy people." "Asians are better in school than whites."
"Southerners are dumber than Northerners." "We should never let Mexicans into our country." Haven't you heard variations of these fill in the blanks statements?Sometimes stereotypes apply. But using them as blanket statements to pigeonhole people is INHUMAN and does a disservice to individuals and groups of people you cannot possibly know, and cultures and people you are unfamiliar with.
The reason people do this is because of fear of strangers and unknown cultures and because of fear of their loss of their privilege in their own cultures. "If we let new people in who I don't know, I'm going to lose what I have!"
Maybe we'll all GAIN advantages we could never have imagined.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yOf course. Anyone is capable of being racist against other people. There are incredibly racist people that are black, white, Asian, etc. They can be racist against other races and also their own. People that say black people can’t be racist against white people are just using that as an excuse/reason to be racist against white people. It’s wrong no matter who is doing it

+1 yLooks like I hurt a trolls feelings. It's awesome how people can't defend their arguments and answer the basic question of do you actually understand the topic you're arguing. rigmarole and others literally spread misinformation to divide us all. You don't have to agree with me or anyone by the way. Having a real discussion or debate requires people to fully understand the topic not argue points of the topic they heard from someone on YouTube.
For ex I haven't taken crt but I have looked into the teachings. I can't fully argue the point so I try not to. That's why I asked rigmarole what does he know about it. He can't answer because he is either racist, a troll, or ignorant. Glad he blocked me. It's not worth the time to debate when you can't even say what you standpoint is on the topic. I didn't even share my view and he called me a communist lol.
I hope people can critically think enough to not fall for tactics like this. If someone deflects your question to bring it back onto whatever they want to say they're not worth talking to

Its all nonsense as the white liberal arts teacher are only trying to isolate white people. If in college don’t argue with them as they will reduce your grade. Colleges just are jot a place for different ideas anymore. The term University is used as its supposed to be a place of many different ideas being discussed but now in the past 20 years it has become a place of one idea of progressive liberalism and nothing else is tolerated. My kids and their friends just listened, got their grades and moved on into the workplace and that has been going fine. Just punch your ticket as they say.

Yeah of course. Even if you acknowledge that racism only comes from the ethnic majority of a country there are countries where every race makes up a majority. With that said I do think it's a cop out to say racism is fine if you're a minority, it's still bigoted and just as stupid, it's just not systemically replicating for the most part. (Isn't always the case e. g South African apartheid)

@rigmarole Just asking because many people I have asked say they think critical race theory is racist and can't explain at all what it's about. Did you take a course in critical race theory to fully understand what you don't like about it?
- +1 y
@Friendlybro79 I have the ability to read books and published papers on a subject and comprehend the ideas people are writing about. I don't need to go through communist struggle sessions to understand the topic.

Friendlybro79 As a Black person who's party directive is to support your Muslim Socialist allies in Hamas who fight against Israel, watch this video and tell me what you think about your "comrades". Do you really think they are your allies? Do you really think your party respects you? Or possibly are you just being use by them until they can dispose of you?

Asker+1 yThis is a question put out to hear other people view points Periodt. So where have I been doesn't answer the question if you have an issue don't comment let's be respectful
- +1 y
@rigmarole I have no idea why and what you're accusing me of anything. I was just curious if you actually took crt and fully understand what it actually is vs what you've read regarding what other people have said about it.
- +1 y
And I gave you my view point. It clear you only want people to post what you want to hear. Any challenge to your closed minded views leaves you feeling insulted. Rather than looking into the philosophy of Critical Race Theory and understanding my view point, you've tried to play the victim like a typical communist.
- +1 y
@Friendlybro79 I didn't accuse you of anything. The fact that you feel guilt, exposes your ulterior motives in your post. No watch the videos and tell me what you think of your "comrades" point of view. How does that make you feel?
- +1 y
@Friendlybro79 The most hilarious thing about CRT is that it claims to be outcome based and the outcome of it's use in your communist revolution is that it has isolated Black people so that they no longer have sympathetic allies. The result will of such horrible policy will damage the prospects of the Black population for at least the next three generations.

@Friendlybro79 I just ordered the textbook that is used in law schools: Critical Race Theory: A Primer. It is a host of readings written by scholars that cover a variety of topics including sexism, ageism etc. "Race theory" was how it began because that was what the initiators started on. But the application is broader. It applies to LGBTQ studies too.
It is not a "criticism" but a deep study of attitudes that ghettoize minority groups. This includes the elderly, the disabled, mentally challenged, the poor, the homeless.
I read a few selections from that critical race theory primer and it is an excellent book. It should be at your local library. I'd love to take a course in it, but sadly, so far, it's only offered in law schools.
I believe exposing yourself to other ways of thinking, looking and thought is the path to becoming as enlightened as possible. A seminar in CRT is something I'm looking forward to. I'm already taking a course in Environmental Communication at Loyola University in New Orleans. It's heavy stuff. But has been worth the trip. - +1 y
@Friendlybro79 For example, the entire US Army has now turned against Blacks. Their advertisements are 100% White people. You see that. The Army has also decided to double their recruiters this year which is a drastic move. What this means is the US military has seen the impacts of CRT and is now not able to recruit White citizens to fight foreign wars anymore. The real world impact is that in war torn regions like like Africa, you'll no longer have Arkansas White boys that are willing to risk their life for humanitarian purposes. Nope, White people will stand down and allow wholesale genocide throughout Africa of the Black race by organizations that need to exterminate Black people to gain access to their natural resources. Enjoy the new world you have worked for.

@Screenwriter Thanks for sharing. You'd be one of few people with an authentic opinion on this topic when you're done reading. Yes law schools are the only ones that fully teach the course although everyone is an expert on it.
Also this seems to be a platform for people that want to spread misinformation and propaganda too. The YouTube educated are my favorite. Ask them to defend their opinion and they change the topic or just continue their spread of nonsense ignoring your question.
I think it's great you're reading the book and your last paragraph describes what it is to critically think. I am so happy you replied and it makes me feel hopeful that more people will decide the path of just that. To critically think on their own. - +1 y
@Friendlybro79 At least you admit you're spreading propaganda on this platform.

Not a dumb question, but bruh... you know how many races are in the world that doesn't like another?
00 ReplyMany people confuse racism and bigotry, all people can be bigots, that is hating a person because they are the wrong color, wrong religion, etc. Racism is a bit more complicated, normally it is a ruling class, holing another class down, like whites over black. So in the USA, a black person could easily be a bigot, but not being in the ruling class, is not a racist.
01 Reply- +1 y
Racism is discrimination on the basis of race. That's all it is, and all it ever has been.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with a "ruling class", and if it DID, that class would be rich people, not non-black people. Oprah Winfrey isn't exactly begging on the street.

00 Reply Totally can , like all people can be toward each other that is a thing too and not rare at all! Actually it’s mutual racism!!
00 ReplyMany of them are, in my school too they were racist towards us. Ofc only some of them. And they get some pass or something and not even get scolded
00 Reply352 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yep, the argument is a weird one to me.
If you are able to consider someones race, then you are able to think only according to their race. My thinking is, that is what racist means.
