Racism - Results in an unequal balance of power on the basis of race
predjudice - Unlikely to impact people as negatively as Racism
both are wrong but I feel like white people can rarely truly experience racism rather than predjudice
Racism versus prejudice. Interesting distinction. I might actually agree with that.
But it gets complicated.
So is racism the idea of being prejudiced against people based on their race? I'll start by saying that I don't judge people based on their skin color, hair or facial features. Culture is a greater barrier than physical appearance.
I acknowledge the existence of racism. Some whites are certainly prejudiced against non-whites. But there is growing racism toward whites these days, particularly from white, virtue signaling, latte liberals. It is politically incorrect to denigrate any other race but Caucasian. For some reason, it is perfectly okay to say "whites" are this and "whites" are that, as if all people of Caucasian lineage are inherently racist. Are Caucasian Swedes, Lapps, Greeks, Slavs, Iranians, Italians, French, Spanish, Irish, and Germans homogeneous?
Racism is learned.
And you can't judge all white people on the basis of U. S. history.
It's not even true that whites invented slavery. And certain white cultures were the first ones to ban it. It still goes on in parts of Africa and Asia.
I'm not trying to ignore the history of racial injustice. But it needs to be put in perspective. And historically ignorant people like those latte liberals I mentioned, and those BLM supporters who claim to want to "burn down the system", can suck my dick. But I will continue to work toward eliminating systemic inequality in U. S. policing, courts and wherever else it exists. I will shake hands and stand shoulder to shoulder with my Native American, African American, Latin American, Asian American, and Arab American, as well as disinfranchized "white" brothers and sisters. We are all one. I stand for justice and against the elite 0.0001% who would enslave us all.
The answer is yes. In 2018 The New York Times hired Sarah Jeong (a Korean) to be a member of their editorial board. I've pasted below an excerpt from a story describing her views about white people:
Ms Jeong wrote in one tweet from July 2014: "Oh man it's kind of sick how much joy I get out of being cruel to old white men."One online critic posted a selection of Ms Jeong's other tweets, which contain obscenities."Are white people genetically predisposed to burn faster in the sun, thus logically being only fit to live underground like groveling goblins," she said in December 2014. The South Korea-born journalist, who was raised in the US, also used the hashtag "#CancelWhitePeople" and complained about "white people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs pissing on fire hydrants". She attended Harvard Law School and has previously written for the Atlantic, Motherboard, the Washington Post and the New York Times Magazine. Thank you very much to the immigration officials who thought admitting her into the country would be a good thing.
No kidding. People can really amaze another in a quick minute
Racism certainly exists against whites. If you spoke more than English or another European language you'd receive a very hard lesson in reality just listening to what some people say about whites nevermind their actions.
As for BLM. BLM is spreading hatred against everyone who isn't black. And this includes people whose ancestry includes African background, such as "white" Jamaicans & Cubans. But if a Hispanic were to ask well what about my life he'd likely be called racist cause he's not black. But if an Asian were to ask well what about my life he'd likely be called racist cause he's not black.
BLM has a little poster going on saying "all lives matter" but their own motto says everyone once & anyone who has lived in a major city's minority area would laugh. African-Americans can be, and are, incredibly racist against hispanics, Asians and those of mixed ancestry.
Here’s the things yes many different ethnicities can experience racism but if we’re taking in particularly about America. Then no white people 97 percent of the time will not nor neve experience racism. For hundred of years people have been racist towards minorities and black people. Racism goes hand in hand with oppression and white people have never been oppressed the way black people have. You cannot oppress the oppressor. So no I don’t think white people can experience racism in America. And if anyone thinks blm is spreading hate towards white people that are most likely brain dead, blm was never about white people. People on this app are racist people who have no education.

Lol... has the definition of racism changed last time I checked? Wouldn't be surprised, as lefties like shouting "racism" at every one of their enemies and the old definition wasn't broad enough.
Does BLM do anything good? Just wondering...
Like... things that improve lives for blacks?
And your question is sad if it's serious.
I have a buddy who's been kicked out of public spaces on his campus because he was "too white" (he is part native American.) Imagine the uproar if it was a black person being asked to leave. But us whities are just supposed to take it, because just like you think, it's obviously impossible to be racist against white people.
You need to stop using whatever you get these ideas from.
I refuse to acknowledge an answer from someone who uses the term blacks or whites. That’s just off asf to me
"Racism - Results in an unequal balance of power on the basis of race"
Wrong. This is just some politically motivated change of definition to try changing the definition of racism.
Here is what the Oxford dictionary says: https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/definition/english/racism
Definition 1: "The unfair treatment of people who belong to a different race; violent behaviour towards them"
Definition 2: "The belief that some races of people are better than others"
Both are perfectly applicable to white people.
As I said on your previous question, there are no exceptions in the formal definition of racism so you are a racist if you unironically mock any race no matter who you are.
The number of people who possess a certain immutable trait as useless as skin color who happen to be in power is irrelevant. The fact that most people are white does nothing to benefit the average white person especially grant them immunities to being judged by their skin color.
Did MLK jr not make clear that he lead the civil rights movement so that people would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character? By saying that black peoples can’t be racist you are basically going against him.
When did the definition of racism change? I was sure it was the discrimination of a person based on their skin color. So yes.
Even if we go by your definition then still yes. Because in many other nations there are white people who are the minority.
Of course... ask any Trumptard
1 Calling out their racism is racist
2 Giving any other race a tiny bit of advancement is obviously part of a racist conspiracy
3 Black men are scary bullies that can fight back in this evil new America (#MAGA!!!)
You people are destroying yourselves and are too stupid to realize it.
Everybody can be racist: it is in human nature to think that my group is superior than yours. Black on white racism does exist in South Africa. That is the reason why I emigrated back to Europe. They have "affirmitive action" policy, where jobs are biased towards black people. Also look up "Julius Malema"
I mean isn’t that cause white people on South Africa had an apartheid, why is everyone ignoring that. It’s not biased it’s making up for done thing wrong that happened to them
If it is a race it can receive racism. So yes, people can and some people are racist towards white people. Recently much much more so than any other time as far as I've perceived.
Being called racist or a cracker does not count as racism...
Yes I know.
- Black people going up to random white people on the streets because they're white and demanding them to kneel or else they automatically determine they're racists. Thus forcing them to either receive confrontation of either verbal or physical harassment or to submit themselves under those black people reducing their pride as a human being to nothingness.
- Attacking physically, mentally and verbally random white people on the streets
- Claiming all white people are racists even those that take no stance whatsoever regarding races and racism in general by saying "silence is violence".
When you select a certain race as your target for harassment or prejudice it's racism. Assuming all white people are racists, IS racism.
Those things are extremely extremely rare lol. I feel like white people just wanna feel included in being oppressed. When white people literally created the idea of oppressing all other racial groups. Ofc but all white people are racist and the black people doing that ( if this is even real) are terrible people but I just don’t understand why u guys wanna experience racism so bad
I've never said anything about being oppressed, it's just a form of racism. I've only said that white people receive racism through prejudice and that they get mobbed by black people as seen recently because of discrimination.
If it's real you ask?

I was going to link videos of white people getting mobbed by multiple black people and beaten to death or near death too but I felt like my comment might get removed because of it.
But that’s not cause those people are white, that’s just cause the other people were criminals it wasn’t a racial hate crime
Did you even watch the videos?
- On person attacked by 5 people and punched & kicked to a bloody pulp by black people saying "Black lives matter"
- Black man telling a white woman to apologize and kneel down before him
- One black man committing hate crimes against white people
All of the targets were white people because of targeted racism, how can you possible even try to refute it without providing some good evidence.
China and Russia are so prejudice against anyone in the USA. And Muslim countries. No matter color or religious practices. Call it racism or prejudice. All the same mind. So white people or black people are most hated in USA. They would blow us all up and are more then happy watching us fight each other. Pretty sick in my opinion.
Not just Russia and China, the entire world thinks USA is a bunch of idiots.
Ya. I’m a white guy and I get called honky, cracker and mic all the time. The difference is, I’m not a whiny bitch. I laugh because it’s absolutely hysterical. I can’t find it in me to be offended by something so stupid as being discriminated against.
I’m not quite sure what your trying to say
Name calling. It's like really pathetic. I'm a Republican no I'm a Democrat. Names. I'm a native American. I'm an African American. I'm a muslim On and on it just goes.
Yes, racism is hatred based on race. China has tons of anti white racism. The black hebrew isrealites openly practice racial supremacy. Thirty somthing percent of Italians said that gypsys are subhuman.
If congress was suddenly made up of 51% non-white people, would white people suddenly become immune from accusations if racism?
I mean America... most of the people answering is this are either American or possibly British and they dont experience racism
Ricky Sherover-Marcuse asserts that "we should not confuse the occasional mistreatment experienced by whites at the hands of people of color with the systematic and institutionalized mistreatment experienced by people of color at the hands of whites” (“A Working Definition of Racism," p. 2). While expressions of racial prejudice directed at white people may hurt the white person/people individually or personally, and are never to be condoned, they do not have the power or authority to affect the white person's social/economic/political location and privileges. (See our definition of White Privilege/White-Skin Privilege)
Reverse racism is a myth because it tries to ignore the fundamental question of who holds more power/privilege between the individuals/groups involved; the myth of reverse racism assumes that racism occurs on a so-called level playing field.
To me raising the bar in racism like that just comes off as a way to avoid saying the word about white people when it occasionally happens. Also, you never limited it to the us, china has clear examples of anti white (and anti black) racism, coming from non-white people
RACISM: "the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another."
Yes, I do.
I believe anyone can be a racist.
Racism is a door that can revolve on all directions, covering all races, any who think that its only whites who can be racist needs to have a good hard look around the world because it happens everywhere.
As a contract engineer who has worked all over the world I've seen it and been subject to it, it comes at you in every way imaginable from the sly dig to full on in your face, the only way to do your job is to cultivate some emotional callouses and learn which aholes to avoid.
I mean in America. Tell me why white people always need to mention another country when I say this
I am white and I have nothing against anyone because of the color of their skin. However, I think you can be racist to white people, but yes you see that so much less than racism towards any other ethnic group. I am not blind to that. Any white person who doesn't see that is 1 of 2 things; a racist or a mother ducking stupid idiot moron who tell you who was the first white guy president.
You can play semantical games all you want, but the basis of racism is the belief in races. You either treat people as individuals or groups. Genetically there are no races and biology works the same (for anything that matters) regardless of your skin color. If you treat or group people on skin color you are racist.
I consider hatred towards someone because of their color to be racism. So yes, everyone can be racist to everyone. Is it a hate crime if 5 members of color A attack 1 or 2 members of Color B. That is certainly an unequal balance of power.

It is never condoned? The media intentionally avoids reporting it and only does it when it would look bad not to but the quickly move on and it gets buried. FBI statistics (go to their web site and look) show the truth. 100 incidents of black on white crime will be ignored and 1 incident of the opposite will be exploited. That is the current system. That is institutional.
Have you never noticed if a non white runs a business his entire staff will be his own race? Whites are the least racist race.
That’s... how are you gonna say some racist shit in a post about racism. Gtfo my page lol
What if people who disagree with you aren't always conspiracy theorists, and they're actually just people who disagree with you?
What if calling anybody who disagrees with you a conspiracy theorist damaged your credibility?
I’m talking about people saying blm is a just a way to spread hate lol. Some people have been saying ridiculous stuff I’m not talking about everyone
You're full of shit and you know it.
No u
Did you delete some opinions on the other thread? Because there were only 2 whole opinions that even mentioned BLM.
No u can't delete opinions... can u?
Yes any ethncity/race can be racist to the other. Hell some of these bishes is racist to their own kind. It just so happens to be a daily common in this jacked up work we live in
Yes there are people who will argue that racism is about power dynamics. I personally reject this and think that racism can happen to anyone.
