I disagree with what he wrote. For example if 90 percent of people vote a movie is good that still doesn’t make it a fact the movie was good because there is still 10 percent of people who didn’t like the movie.

or another example of the majority of people think a girl is pretty that still doesn’t make it a fact because there might still be some people who don’t think she’s pretty.

I learned about this in philosophy class. Some philosophers think that truth is just whatever everyone agrees on. Some philosophers think that truth is outside of us. But how can we ever be sure about something if we don’t confirm it with other people?
anyways I’m not a philosopher but I took some classes. I think even if one hundred percent of people agree a movie is good it’s still isn’t a fact. A fact has to be dry and boring like the movie came out on Thursday. There’s just no opinion about it whatsoever.

i heavily disagree with it. if a bunch of imbeciles think that rape is perfectly normal and it shouldn't be a crime (i'm using this as an easy example) doesn't mean that it's ok. plus facts are supposed to be the truth, so opinion shouldn't have anything to do with it.

That’s just someone who has a very high opinion of himself…that he is always right. A Fact is something that can be substantiated by something outside of opinion. Where reasonable proof, whether logic, math, science, or whatever is applied. It requires a formal analysis and NOT OPINION‼️

The minority consensus doesn't matter. Opinions largely don't matter, regardless of who holds them. "expert opinion" is an oxymoron.

Just because the majority of people are stupid, it doesn't make their dumb ideas true. Millions of people, including large companies fell for the erroneous Y2K scam and it wasn't true.
Many things that scientists were certain were true turned out to be false and were disproved over time.

That's wrong. The majority of people having the same opinion about something doesn't make it a fact. It makes it a cultural or social belief. There are plenty of beliefs that the majority of people thought were fact that turned out to be false. That being said, if beliefs are held by enough people for a long enough period of time, they're often viewed as being indistinguishable from facts and we make life choices as if they are facts.
