IQ has not much meaning, because it does not distinguish between people stuffed with knowledge (like knowledge about tests) and people who are brilliant. PLUS there are all kinds on intelligence that the IQ test does not measure. The intelligence of a music composer for instance, of a farmer, of a creative writer, of a pure mathematician. of a geneticist, of a brilliant businessman. IQ is totally ill-adapted for that: it measures poorly your ability to be good in high school, that is all.

However, it may be possible to improve cognitive function to some degree. Training your memory, executive control, and visuospatial reasoning can help to boost your intelligence levels

I think it’s a lot better an indicator of life long success than you suggest... a brilliant businessman generally scores pretty damn high. It does not measure creativity, it’s not called a creativity quotient lol

Typically, IQ does not limit Achievements. It is considered a stationary Measurement. High Intelligent Quotients can be found on the street as well as MIT.
—Do not confuse Intelligent Quotient with Achievement. “Normal range IQ” can out pace measured Genius in Achievement.
—Who cares unless paper results are important to you. High IQ does not get you a job at Pfizer…just saying from experience OR into MIT, Stanford, or Harvard in today’s world. Ingenuity in Invention (Achievement), not volunteering, are today’s Elite University resume builders…

You would have to physically alter your brain to do so which means surgery or hitting your head until you actually get smarter

You can learn stuff but that won't change your IQ that will just make you more knowledgeable because intelligence and knowledge are different
Anyone can parrot what they say out of a book that's not intelligence that's knowledge intelligence is the ability to interpret what is on the book

Lots of puzzles have solutions that aren't obvious. If you picked the obvious answer, you'd just be average and mainstream. Think outside the box. Be weird. I say this as a former Mensa member, and I'm not even sure if IQ is valuable. But I like to think outside the box. The box is too restricting and boring.

Personally I believe IQ doesn’t mean anything and I also believe being good in school doesn’t make you smart. A smart person doesn’t study for 6 hours a day to pass their class the smart person will cheat and not get caught and pass the class. The smartest people find the paths of least resistance and make the most out of doing the least. That’s my personal opinion

Studies have shown learning a musical instrument can increase your IQ. I know that as a child, it helped me significantly with school when I studied music and guitar. However, I don't know if it helps after you reach a certain age.

I don't know. Don’t put much stock in it really. IQs are a test score. Not much more. Kinda as useful as Meyers Briggs bullshit.
