Let me honest most transgender men (that's biological men that want to be surgically manipulated by science and medically mutilated) probably could not compete on the same level with men and would not make the team.

Now if your a genetic women that could compete with men then you would, but most women can not... depending on the sport... but if they could they would make men's teams. But the simple fact is, and its undisputable, most trans gender men (biological men) would be maybe better then average against most other men... but far out perform a women.

For example qualifying standard time for US Men's 100m sprint for the Olympics is 10 seconds. Women's standard qualifying times is 11.15 seconds. That's like a 10 meter difference is separation between the top Female and Man athlete in a head to head.

So as a man if you ran 10.5 second 100m sprint... your not making the team... but as a women you would be setting world records and blowing out the completion. So if you wanted a Gold Medal all you would have to do is go through hormone treatments and wear a wig.

An easy solution for this is to make male sports open and restrict female sports to only biological females.

The fact is that males and females are genetically different. Male bodies produce more testosterone which aids in the building of muscle. Men are genetically bigger/stronger/faster than women.

Like... I am a 5'4" 120 lb female. I'm a petite person. I'm very small. I'm also a cop. I am almost guaranteed to be smaller than everyone I deal with. I'm also more than likely going to be dealing with men. The criminal justice field is dominated both on the employee and criminal sides by men. Is it the job of the male I arrest to go easy on me because I'm small and female? No. It's on me to accept my lot in life and figure out how to make it work for me. I've been in this field for a number of years now. I know I have to train harder at every aspect of this job in order to be taken seriously by fellow cops and to survive on the road. I know I'm small and so I try hard every day. I have proven to my male coworkers that if I'm on a call shit is gonna be handled correctly. They also know that if I come to back them I will do my fuckin job. They know that I know my criminal law and I am competent to do this job.

I think its a moot point. If you have championships I think virtually every attempt to divide the competitors into different groups is antithetical to the spirit of the competition. Not saying its always bad but you need to provide some really good justifications for it such as the paraolympics.

When it comes to the big show where you intend to have the best of the best compete for the title of the strongest/fastest/best etc.. I dont think you can justify dividing it. Its just weird that you give out a title that basically says "You are the best of all... except for those people because they were not allowed to compete with you."

There is nothing that we lose by allowing everyone to compete together and it elevates the title of the best even further. If it becomes an issue such as women being unable to compete then I think having a separate competition for them is justified if there is enough interest but that should be at addition to the bigger title and not as a silly division of it that makes no actual rational sense.

Having everyone compete together solves all sort of issues that is otherwise created by trying to divide them into poorly defined groups.

If women actually are weaker or whatever then I think that is a great motivator for them to exceed their limits and reach new heights to compete with men. Women are never going to catch up unless you put them in direct competition with the men and I believe they are capable of giving us a good run for our money especially in the future when the gap closes in.

I don't think there's a way to be completely fair to both trans athletes and females at the same time, but trans athletes tend to have a dominant advantage in many sports.

If we take Mary Gregory, for example, she broke four women's powerlifting world records in a single day in spite of being on HRT for over a year and a half. That seems almost statistically impossible for a member of less than ~0.6% of the population -- brand new to a sport -- to break four world records in one day if there was no physiological advantage.

A lot of the male advantage in sports comes down to things like proportions and body mechanics which can't be erased by HRT once developed for transwomen, and can't be gained much through HRT absent the prior years for transmen.

There are also safety issues in fighting sports like boxing and mixed martial arts. Those sports have weight classes to protect the safety of the fighters because too many people were dying and getting permanently crippled when mismatched. Yet matching a trans athlete and a female even in the same weight class is probably just as dangerous for the female as a lightweight taking on a heavyweight.

Look at world class marathon results. Finishing before the best, world class women is always a group of unknown guys. These guys are good. They train, work hard. But there are so many of them that, they are not known outside of their local running clubs. And, they're all faster than the fastest woman on the planet.

A really interesting question relates to women who have genetic differences where their hormone makeup is more like men's than women's despite being born with female parts. There's an Indian runner that fits into this group. Her story is heartbreaking. I don't know of an easy answer that would allow her to compete fairly with other women.

The liberal dilemma here is that by denying trans women competing with women they are basically acknowledging that trans women are in fact men.
But by allowing them, women are getting destroyed in their own sports which is not what feminists wanna see.
But if they create a trans league pretty much no one will watch it. Barely anyone watches female sports as it is.

It's a hard question for anyone to answer and it feels like they need to pick an outcome.
Personally I would say do not let trans women compete with women.

Trans women have no place in women sports, at least not professionally (ok for amateurs if it is not affecting the safety of the females they are competing against). There are proven biological differences between males and females, else why would we even have categories for women in the first place.

We have been going down this path for a long time. We passed laws that both genders had to have equal opportunity in sports. Thus women and men sports. Then the courts said that girls could play football with the boys and that girls could join Boy Scouts. So lets strip the name and make it just sports. No longer segregate the women from the men.
