It really depends on the house, as far as square footage, the location and neighborhood. But all depends on those factors, but it might be a good investment home for a rental property or section 8... or a cheap fixer upper. But would need more information on the property, and your finical situation and intent as a buyer to really give you an good advice.

Well that's all subjectify to the property? You could easily get a Terrance house here with 3 bedrooms under that price.
That been said my city is pretty cheap to live in. And also again depends on property if you were looking for something better than Terrance and nice probably 140k is a good amount to pay. With most been between 100k-200k.

Depends on the location, size, incorporated vs unincorporated area, location, type of construction, quality of the neighborhoods, location, available services in the area, proximity to basic needs, and (did I mention) location?

I have seen $100K homes that are simple, located away from amenities, yet look pretty good. I've seen $300,000 fixer-uppers. I've seen a $165,000 simple ranch that was a dive, yet a few years later, it is worth over $200K as is! go figure.

No. I live in a 190,000 dollar house and it's fine. Maybe needs new wallpaper but it's fine. Neighbors are nice but there are some shady people who come out at night.

Ehh…depends. I buy condos for 80-100k. A house…probably some issue. Could be an easy fixer upper. My friend does that pretty successfully but you gotta know what you’re doing.
