How do people try to say that more guns in the public mean less mass shootings?

highly ironic. mass shootings have increased since these killing machines became more advanced. there is a problem with mass shootings, and there is a problem with the ease of access to these killing machines.

It's not ironic if you are being honest about it. If a person really wanted to get several pounds of meth and a assault rifle they don't care about any law saying they can't. Also if they are serious about getting both they will be willing to take a illegal path to doing so. Given that regulatory bodies on the local, state and even federal level are not and will never be 100% perfect there is a chance a person will get the several pounds of meth and assault rifle they want.

The war on drugs and prohibition have proven this all to be true time and time again. Yet people choose to ignore this and live in a fantasy world where harsh realities are not reality. They also choose to live in a fantasy world that politicians are trying to sell them. It's also an issue that both sides of the political isle are guilty of. Because it's just like people thinking that illegal immigration will be a nonissue at some point. Because some politicians say it will.

are you sure about that? i wouldn't know where to get meth and if i really wanted too it would be impossibly difficult. the issue is that its not impossibly difficult to get these guns that these maniacs are using. so that argument is really bad.

There is a illegal market for everything. If a person wants something bad enough they can find it or find someone that knows how to get it. If that was not true there wouldn't be an illegal market in the first place. Sure in some nicer areas it might be harder to buy something illegal or find someone that knows where to get it. But that in no way makes it impossible to find. Also you would be surprised how easy things like drugs are easy to get in a nice suburb or upper class area.

Also just because you don't know where to get drugs or don't want to do them does not mean everyone does. The world is screwed up and always has been. Because people can be extremely screwed up.

No, I have seen and experienced how screwed up this world and the people in it can be. Seeing and being through the kind of things that a lot of people only see in movies or hear about in the news can be a huge eye opener.

Also to put it bluntly your come of as someone that had a very sheltered childhood. If you had to acutely deal with anything that a lot of people have you wouldn't know what to do or how to handle it. Because you would be forced to deal with how harsh reality is.
