We also paid the government to test how well lizards can run on treadmills, as well as paid middle eastern countries to employ gender studies, and paid Mediterranean countries to play anti-smoking ads. And the best part is these are three of a plethora of things we used tax-payer's dollars for on during the pandemic. So while people were hurting, the elites in government thought that was money well spent.
Yes. But for the last two years, they stop deducting SS from my paycheck in April. That isn't so bad. I just checked. Same as last 2 years, 4/1 deduction. This week, none. 3 years ago, they deducted into May. WTF?
Unfortunately, yes, we pay into social security. It’s a government run Ponzi scheme.
Yes, of course you do. You also pay Medicare tax on wages.

Yep I've known about it from the time I started working at age 15. And it was around my mid 20's when I realized we're all f*cked and will work till our dying days unless we start olann for ourselves. Even then with the decline in physical currency it's not looking good.
Of course, that's what pays for retirees Social Security (SS) benefits. It's a government-authorized Ponzi scheme. Workers and their employers contribute to Social Security, which is used to pay current retirees, and also help determine what the employee will receive as SS benefits when they retire.
Yes I do. But they don't know that when I visit the IRS building I leave them a vile upper decker or reverse kanga. Sometimes both depending on how much they are screwing me.
@IsoUser Hell no. An employer was recently sued for paying an employee his last check with pennies. The employee was paid around $1200 in pennies. They rolled up with a wheelbarrow full and the judge ordered them to pay with a check plus extra for the hassle. Imagine what the IRS would do. Plus they may catch on that I'm the culprit leaving upper deckers and reverse kangas in the Kansas City IRS building and disappearing like a phantom.
I do, because I live here. Hopefully I get some of it back when I reach the age of 67 and 1/2 I think
I have to agree and say yes, they gave Cola the increasing percentage of 5.9% now for 2022, now their talking about possibly increasing it to 8.9% for the next year 2023
It doesn't piss me off that I'll likely never get social security, but it does that I'm being charged for it every paycheck even with thisbeing well known.
Is this the first time you looked at your pay stub?
Yes even though it might not be a benefit by the time I’m old enough to get anything from it lol.
Yes it’s basically a Ponzi scam. But we’re not voluntarily investing our money into it, we’re forced.
you are not forced society is just to stupid to realize
THEY DO NOT NEED TO LISTEN TO THE GOVERNMENT
Yes! It was not meant to be a tax but rather a forced retirement plan for all!
Yes, it is just one of the myriad taxes we pay here. And it will get worse.
No kidding Wow! What a revelation that you have given us LMFAO
I pay taxes in two countries

Yes, I know. By the time I will need it there won't be any left.
