Why Asians in America is so different than Asian in Asia?

I find Asian living in America or Canada strange.. Asians are usually very friendly if I meet them in Asia but here is different. Do you feel the same?

I think many of those have either spent their entire lives in the US or Canada or a good portion of it. Japanese Americans can often speak fluent English, for example, while that's rare in Japan. They're usually more American than Japanese in terms of mannerisms (ex: shaking hands as opposed to bowing, saying things like "no" even though that's considered very rude in Japan).

I actually feel the same about people of other ethnic origins living in Japan. Many of them are very polite and friendly according to Japanese social norms and can usually speak their share of Japanese.

Also, I think race can be completely different from cultural mindset. For example, I consider this person in the video to be pretty much 100% Japanese as he does since he grew up in Japan even though he is half-black. He speaks and acts and thinks 100% like Japanese so from my standpoint he is 100% Japanese:

It's like that with any race. Africans tend to DESPISE African Americans. It just proves culture matters A LOT MORE than skin-deep traits like ethnicity.

Not the same, even they look Asian but the inside they are Americans. Same happens if black or white live and grew up in Asia, you are not gonna feel like they were black or white.
