Sorry yes WW1, the turks knew to stay out of ww2 because of how they were defeated so badly.
The Ottoman empire was a side show for us, we were already fighting on many fronts but in the end though we lost a few battles we defeated the Turks on war and they surrendered on their knees to us their masters.
Turkey today is a client state of the US, the ottoman empire will never rise again because the Turkish military has not won a war in centuries.
