I mean it brings enough money cause enough people have it to make it an issue worth talking about, but are they going to single handedly end depression? No, but as long as we don't start a war here, then they're also patting themselves on the back because imagine everyone in Ukraine for example, they've lost everything and they are carrying their family on their bare backs, their minds are probably so exhausted from the stress they can't even process what's happening enough to get upset, just to survive. Not the county's fault, but I'm sure our government is careful not to make other countries come and invade us. Americans can be seen as being depressed because we have so much freedom and we realize we don't exactly know what to do with it other than eat junk, work a lot, and be online all the time, which physiologically, isn't helpful in the long run. Life events are bound to happen, but it daily habits that measure your success out of your depression and your support system, which would be your immediate family, if not, then the government.

No.
I mean, ideally they should, and on conceptual level mine does, but it doesn't translate to action.
I don't even think they measure it in any meaningful way.
Managing your mental health is a personal responsibility. A government could care and provide all the services, but if the individual doesn't want to actually change themselves, if won't matter.
Should there be more mental health supports? Absolutely. Should there be more government funding? Yes. Should the government be in charge of managing citizen's mental health?
No.
It is up to the citizens to manage their own depression. Learning to live with it and thrive despite it is something only the individual has control over.
Because of 100,000 or more students ending up dead (over 10 years) not because of any accident, or any physical illness but because of depression, the government is taking certain proactive steps towards it.
The Indian Government is promoting mental health, open talks, strict legal guidelines for the doctors, and other things.
The students that end up dying... more than 50% of them belong to IITs, NITs etc or IIT/NIT aspirants. This means any one of the students, could be the next Newton level scientist. I hope you get what I am trying to say.
But still topics like mental health, sex are taboo in India. Not allowed to talk about it.
There are people who say, 'Mental problems do not exist'.
Among the deaths, the student suicides are highest out of 100%.
Anything that boosts their stocks in pharma is good for about 70% of federal officials. Probably more than that. It's also a problem they have gotten comfortable with ignoring because they can somewhat accurately insist that it isn't their fault and point fingers elsewhere.
So the left promotes acting insane as a status of victimhood, and the right turns a blind eye to the decline in mental health and massive spike in depression rates because it loads them all up in the bank.

Of course, they want to use something that is extremely common to revoke your second amendment right, or at least one party in the US government does.
Otherwise no, even though a good portion of people with depression, it seems to be created by things the government does directly or indirectly.Specific people care. Govt is a bearoracy which kills feelings.
Getting away from govt and taking responsibility for my own emotional health best drug there is. God is always there…. For its very clear the cure is inside us… just need the right “things” to release those chemicals! They do do a lot for us. Like have a lot of places you can go to available if you have a social security, which everyone gets that works or goes to school. Also through the social security doctors are parcially and if you cannot afford the doctor the doctor gets paid through taxes for you.
Psycologist and there like are not free because they aren't doctors
If they care, I don't know but they do do this.Of course not. And with technology as advanced as it is, we no longer have to subject ourselves to antiquated forms of government led by lawyers and businessmen and the so-called elite. Please see: https://www.thevenusproject.com/
the government doesn't give a shit about your individual problems. the governments job is to generate votes to stay in power. and they'll do whatever it takes to get those votes. helping people could be a result of that but usually making people feel they are helped while they are exploited is more effective.
I would say NOT at all... Don't know about anywhere else but here in the UK they will do anything to get you off the sick and make you look for work...
If they cared they would just listen to your Doctors rather than make you go for medicals with there staff to try sign you off...Of course.. why do u think they promote "mental illness"? lol They want all the kids to be on some kind of benzodiazepine, anti-depressant, or SSRI, yet they complain about overdoses and illegal drug use?
Not only does it not care, but it benefits from it. Depressed people don’t live as long, and thus withdraw less from old age pensions and consume less healthcare. They are also less likely to resist government overreach.
If they did they would make sure most health care insurance would cover more of it's expenses. Most cover a few appointments/sessions and then, that's all folks!
The big mistake is seeing government and care in the same sentence together. They don't give two shits about anyone.
Biden was laughing about a joke about inflation. He could care less about American citizens, He is more concerned with keeping his family out of jail and ruining this country.
They want to wipe out everyone. Why would they care about your sorry depression? Lmaooo!
Everyone look out for themselves. Not according to Arthur Fleck...
https://www.youtube.com/embed/dlue-wk9lXoAnything that starts with "Does the government care..." should give you your answer. They do not. If it does not benefit them in some way or give them more power over you, then they do not care.
Well seeing as how teenage depression and suicide is at an all time high and fentanyl overdoses have become the leading cause of death for 18-45 year olds, it’s safe to say that the government doesn’t give a goddamn about anyone’s mental health.
As long as someone is getting rich off of anti-depression drugs. I am sure that the political kick backs will keep coming.
So I would say that would be the only reason that they would care.
Plus a drugged mind is easier to control!Preventative care is free on Obamacare (oops I said it). And prescriptions and therapy are pretty low costs these days. My family doctor prescribed me anti D’s and I shopped around for a good therapist. Gotta find someone you like.
Why should the government (whoever they are) care about my mental state?
Nope. They just want you to vote democrat before you jump off a bridge.
I always wondered this 😂 Ik I have a lot of explaining to do regarding my search history
