By the way happy birthday
you know it's so weird
We the People hire or elect are government officials we have over five hundred and seventy something of them in the United States elected into a big office not one of the dares to stand up to be great
We as the little people I believe we're getting railroaded we've been sold out in so many different ways I didn't get a vote and if we were going to become part of NATO and that big plan
We all need to start looking at things different the world is changing way too fast and we're all caught up in it not knowing all the information that we should know politician nowadays are doing deals under the table so they can get money to get reelected it's been going on for years but it needs to stop the people that we left are supposed to be doing us a favor by doing the right things for every single one of us not just for themselves
It seems like anymore at the moment that a politician gets elected the very first day they are out soliciting again to get campaign money for their next election
The media has turned elections into a circus right-wing left-wing independent title after title after title it means nothing except for Jackass
With totally makes me disgusted is it doesn't matter who you are what side you were on we were all in it for the same reason you have to work together if you cannot work together with somebody if there has to be a battle of fight name-calling a put down to get yourself elected I don't even want you to try to be elected you're not the person for me
If they can't be at 100% leader than they should even be running and we should not be even voting for them
Once most of them get into office they become followers and they follow their party whether it's a good thing or bad thing because they want to be part of the good old boys
My political standing is you been hired to do something do it do it to the best of your ability do it for the reasons you believe in not what your party believes in do it because it's good thing for the American people in the long run
I used to race motorcycles in the desert when you going anywhere from 80 to 120 mph flying through sagebrush you are clicking at a very fast pace things are coming up on you so quickly you have to be prepared for everything so you have to look 1,000 feet ahead of you at all times to see what's coming up so you can take it on it's the same thing with politics same thing with everything in life you always have to be looking way ahead because since he's going to come up and you need to be prepared I don't believe in following anybody I believe in making my own way. And if I can do that benefits everybody that I know
there's always going to be something that we are always challenged with in life. And in most cases it's not always about me and if I can help somebody along the way I will say with politicians they just need to do what's right but we is the American people we need to really change the ways the week vote people into office why we voted into office because they're not doing us any good Justice that's for sure
There's a lot of things I believe in there's a lot of things I don't believe in but that's me I'm one person if somebody believes in something let them live it let them go through it We Are All One and that's just the way it is and when you start dividing people you are not one anymore but as far as I'm concerned We Are All One
I abandoned political partisanship and labels years ago.
I have some views that would be considered liberal and some that would be considered conservative.
I develop my own opinions on individual issues based on information. I can revise or change my opinions as more information becomes available. I am not influenced by political parties, identity politics or consensus.
I identified as liberal and voted Democrat most of my life. But I have come to loathe the Democrats even more than the Republicans. Both parties are radically neoliberal (corporatist/fascist) and are in the pockets of the globalists who are moving toward their goal of a tyranical, undemocratic, technocratic New World Order/One World Government. The Democratic party has become completely corrupt and dishonest. It has embraced authoritarianism, disdains liberty, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
And I no longer recognize what liberalism has become. I used to think it was an open minded, tolerant way of thinking. Liberals distrusted authority and were anti-war. Liberalism today seems to be the opposite.
If any way of thinking could describe my views, it would be somewhere in the realm of left-libertarianism (libertarian socialism).
I consider myself a moderate politically. I lean towards Republican's issues, however these past few years has made me ashamed to be considered a Republican especially with the slobbering mouth running Ted Cruz, trump (can't even make myself capitalize his name any longer), Greg Abbott, DeSantis (my idiot gov), McCarthy, chicken shit McConnell, and a few other of the so far right clowns.
I believe people have to be responsible for themselves and there should not be permanent government financing of one's life. Help for awhile when in trouble, but not life long except in very special cases.
I hate when some Republicans refer to Social Security as a Government paid social program as working people pay for that program including Medicare every week out of there paycheck. It damn sure isn't the working guy who fucked up the system and spent the dedicated funds on other programs.
My father tells me there was a time (when I was little) that our government worked fairly well with both sides comprising on issues instead of having a political war on each and everything brought up.
I am, always have been, and always will be a pro choice woman who with all my heart believes my body, my choice. I personally wouldn't promote abortion or have one short of a medical or possibly rape issue.
Shit I haven't said this much on GaG in years!
Left right red blue are what those in power want us little people to think in terms of because it keeps us content to fight each other without thinking too hard about who is really winning regardless of who wins publicly. Elected offices are a revolving door through which a parade of friends and family of the elites will continue to pass while they give us the pacifying ‘choice’ of which of them will rule us next. Whatever you think of the last political outsider to win an office that matters, did you see how quick and dirty and desperate their fight was to eliminate him? They can’t have any outsiders win anything that matters because it disrupts their tax cattle farming business.
I do not put myself in any category.
I just make my own decision on each topic and decide if it makes sense.
I think a lot of people force themselves to agree to a topic because they are supposed to because they are "conservative" "liberal" and so on.
I also do the same when voting for a elected official.
If it's a republican with the better campaign i will vote them.
If it's a Democrat i will vote for them.
But sadly most politicians no longer campaign about what they believe but just trash the other parties views, because this is what most voters seem to care more about.
You are definitely on the left side of the spectrum at least.
@Still-alive i have a lot of views that would be considered left, but tbh, anybody how believes people's mental happiness everything important fall into that.
I think the left tend to have a more open mind.
Conservatives fall into the close mind this is how it always been so nothing should change mind set.
But i would fall into the middle on some of the most controversial topics.

I see my self as conservative, I believe in small government, less regulation and that it is ur job to provide for yourself, however, I recognise that there is a role for government, to protect us from stupid people and protect stupid people from themselves. I believe that the government should provide protection from crime and other countries (police and military) as well as the fact that everyone has a right to medical care. Beyond that, u should make ur own way in life.
I’m an atheist so do not believe in law based on religious beliefs but instead on general good morals, I believe that there is a large number of people who suffer from mental health issues, therefore allowing unrestricted access to military grade weapons isn’t sensible, I thing guns should be allowed to be owned, but allowing “Crazy Joe” to by a rocket launcher can never be a good thing.
For those who cannot look after themselves I think the state should, i. e. people who have severe learning and physical disabilities should be taken care of by the state.
I’d rather see guilty people walk free than innocent men hang so I’m not in favour of the death penalty.
At the beginning of this I said I believe in less regulation but that does not mean no regulation.
I am a libertarian. I don’t like to label myself or my views, and I try to stay away from politics.
However, I do have views that align with libertarianism. I stay pretty much in the center of libertarianism, very deep on the libertarian side, but I have my own personal views on things that make me lean slightly to the right. I believe in freedom, independence, privacy, economic and personal liberty, etc.
all of these labels are non sense. They are retention ponds in the ecosystem we call democracy. These titles were created by the higher ups to pool people together, and then used to turn these “parties” against each other. In todays political climate, there’s a good chance you could question 100 different people on what they beliefs are when it comes to different subjects, and your data would be outstanding evidence against the true existence of these labels. If you make someone feel like they are apart of a bigger group just by asking surface level questions, then you can trick them into identifying with and defending that group simply because it’s a human reaction to want to be part of a crowd.
I am a moderate... but ultimately as you with this poll at the time of this reply 42% of the population claim to be conservatives. And ther other 58% percent claim to be something else. But the Republicans keep doubling down on that 42%... and rest of us who may be anything but Liberal... feel as if they are under attack by conservatives that lump us all into the liberal category when in fact we are not liberals. The truth is democrat and republicans just do not offer us anything genuine and we don't vote most the time.
Conservative.
Seems to be more of a “SANE” side than an insane side. The Liberals and the LGBT have taken down most of my websites, banned me , and removed me from different areas of the internet. Just because they were get this “offended”…
I had an LGBT RANT post back in 2014 and all those losers got my whole entire website removed, with everything else I had in it.
Pure demonic. When they use censorship, and shut your mouth. That to me is “vile”.
You should be able to say whatever whenever.
All of them would pitch-fork you and burn you at the stake for having opposing views and opinions.
You agree with Trump? Pitchforked!
You don’t agree with LGBT? Pitchforked!
You don’t agree with Obama? Pitchforked!
You don’t like the Democrats? Pitchforked!
I'm center-left. Definitely a liberal by American standards. Ironically the "liberal party" in my country is the one I hate the most. They're definition of liberal would be defined as more like a capitalist free for all as opposed to socialism.
My idea of a good political system is a capitalist democracy with socialist support. Things like workers unions, fair working conditions and pay, access to affordable health care and education for all, a financial safety net for the unemployed and disabled, government grants for small businesses and support to find the unemployed jobs are all things I think are necessary for a fair society. Pure capitalism like what you have in the U. S or pure socialism aren't good. You need the balance.
Independent. The surge of the political world. Because Conservatives and Liberals only like when when your view on a given subject aligns with theirs. But both really, really hate you when your view does not. They also hate that your views and ideas are based on independent thought and research. Rather then basing your views and ideas of what members if the Conservative and Liberal believe your views and ideas should be.
So basically libertarian, or moderate
No because my overall political view is best summed up as a hybrid of all four. Also due to a lot of my views and ideas being based on research aspects of my view can change as new knowledge is gained. For example researching the psychology behind corruption and researching the history of corruption in many types of governing bodies. Has lead me to believe that corruption in any given governing body is inevitable. It is the people living under a governing body job to search it out and destroy it at all costs.
Due to how politics in our governing body inspires so much division we are likely never going to from a large enough group to root out corruption. Because to do use requires a united group. Also the is inevitable that corruption is present in both sides of the political isle. Due to people being so focused on fighting the side they are aligned against to root out the corruption growing in their own side of the isle.
Due to this a united push towards making public financing records public at every level of government is needed. But once again due to the division inspired in our politics that is actively inspired by both sides, such an needed change will never take place.
Independent but somewhere between constitutionalist, and libertarian so kind of in the middle as there are things I actually like about the left and the right... so long as it fits within the constitution. Don't like Republican's or Democrats, but tend to have values similar to Republicans, as they want less restrictions on life and freedoms.
The Democrats want to restrict things spelled out in the constitution, and to add rights through court rulings rather than amendments.
A liberal libertarian. Which is to say I think government should largely stay out of people's lives but not out of businesses' dealings. I think the tax burden should disproportionately fall on the rich to the point that perhaps people making under 100k or so shouldn't be taxed at all. And I'd like to see a runoff voting with taxing discounts be made the standard. That is, every federal vote is a runoff and your tax is reduced if the people you vote for in the main election lose.
The higher your tax bracket the more you pay. Tax laws affect everyone but there are things that anyone can do to lower their taxable income. It costs less than 50 bucks to register a business with the state at which point there are tons of expenses that can be written off
Correct. Because those with all the money hired lawyers to write tax laws and hired politicians to implement them, and so those laws are designed to help those with money hold on to it. And the media they also employ seems mostly organized around skewing public opinion towards letting them keep it.
And those laws apply to everyone not just the rich
Then do what the rich do...
And for those who don’t inherit a ton of money?
As an INFJ, I see both sides in many ways. but most of my beliefs are towards the right. I don't believe in big government, and I believe that politics have actively bastardized the original simpler format and ignored and villainized others just so the status quo can be held. The rot started with Woodrow Wilson. Theodore Roosevelt was the last president with an independent thought. Both world wars fucked the world so much and set up so many disgusting corruption, that people are blind to the processes still at play.
I’m a libertarian socialist and anarchist
Nice, I Got into reading a bunch of theory over the pandemic which is what got me into it ! Hbu?
I can't remember. It was several years ago. I think I heard the term and then researched it. I was surprised to find that, not only was it a thing, but had a long, complex history with lots of different theories and iterations. It's closely related to classical liberalism.
I also had a good friend named Bruce (U. Utah) Phillips who was a famous unionizer, rabble rouser, song writer and story teller. You can google him. A fascinating guy. I admired him greatly. He was an anarchist and taught me that anarchism isn't what people think it is.
I've always been on the side of the workers and I know a lot about their cruel exploitation over the years.
P. s. I just followed you.
I dont trust any politics or any polititions in any parties, anywhere in the world. Governments snd their byrocrazy makes everything so slow, expensive and inefficient. Those polititions are only in my life when they want my vote.
Sorry for my negativity, just needed to be honist.
More right wing, but I think for myself. Most people regardless of political party don't. I'm not a normie ig. Sometimes I agree with leftists, sometimes I feel like the right is too tame, depends on the issue. I have no issue with gay marriage for example, neither do most right wingers. But most right wingers are Christians, I'm not. They prize conformity over their own God, that's pathetic if you ask me.
Literally don’t care about politics at all. All they do is give people a reason to hate each other and be petty. I stay out of it.
Can’t really stay out of something that affects your day to day life and well-being
I don’t vote and I know nothing about any of the political parties, nor do I care about them. I have my own beliefs but I don’t believe that ties in with politics?
Well it does when laws passed by politicians infringe on your beliefs
I stand out and far away from any political party, circus... which is what they all are, moreso today, than ever before...
Liberal/progressive (moderate) within reason. I don't support any disgusting acts such as abortion, LGBT and open borders.
I fully support unversial healthcare and free education and social programs for the needy (citizens only) and a strong sense of patriotism and nationalism for one's nation.
I used to call myself a Democrat and voted for them longer than most of you have been alive.
Then I saw how they were destroying the country and decided I couldn’t vote for them or any party whose members are ashamed of being American or White or who believe that America is an inherently flawed nation.
I’m not going to vote for a party that literally endorses the pulling down of statues and the destruction of monuments to our country and its citizens.
Libertarian.
I don't relluve believe in republican values
I have some conservative value
But I'm a single childless man. So why wouldn't want big government giving out handouts.
I some like the government telling me what to do. Like during covis with the mandatory shots and forcing business vloae
Very conservative. I don't blame the gun or bullet, I blame the shooter.
Open borders is about the dumbest thing ever.
If you take out a student loan, pay it back. Your neighbor didn't take out the loan, YOU did.
Liberal, but voted conservative in the poll since they are the ones conserving liberty and conservative these days is used as a new name for liberals while liberal has been hijacked by facists.
I'm in Canada, so what may be considered left or right in the States may differ a bit here. If I had to describe my politics, I would say that I'm left-libertarian or just a straight-up liberal.
I don’t vote because I don’t believe in the voting process of my country (USA). That said, I’m the kind that waves the Gadsden flag being a symbol for anti-government. So the little government the better in my opinion, so I believe in libertarianism…
I guess I would be an Independent.
I see political parties as mostly being controlled by money from each of their special interest lobby groups.
Libertarian. Leave me alone and I'll leave you alone. Fuck with my rights and ill fuck with you.
Give me a definition of conservative, liberal and moderate
You could have looked it up in the time it took you to ask that
Liberal: Can mean classical liberal (individual rights ideology rooted in the late 1600 – 1700’s) or social liberal (an evolution of classical liberalism that includes aspects of socialism, arising in response to the age of Robber Barons as social justice and progressive values take on new importance with voters). This term is sometimes used as meaning “not a conservative.” In current usage, the U. S. classical liberals are called libertarians, and social liberals are called “liberals.” See an essay on “what is liberalism?“
Conservative: Either opposes liberalism or progressivism, its meaning changes with the times. As liberalism, socialism, and progressivism changed, what conservatism meant changed in response. The Conservative Federalists of the late 1700’s wanted order; a conservative nativist populist Democrat of the 60’s, like George Wallace, wanted to return to the old southern classical liberal way and a time when segregation was king. Later, after changes in the parties, modern Republicans often run on a radically conservative platform. They may, for example, favor state enforced religious laws. Meanwhile, progressive movements like Prohibition have conservative aspects to them. See an essay on “comparing liberalism and conservatism“.
Moderate: Taking a balanced view on any issue, not being fully “liberal,” “progressive,” or “conservative” as compared to the opposition. People often hold mixed moderate views on most issues. Moderate views aren’t always appreciated, for instance, leading up to the Civil War in the 1860’s and up to Civil Rights in the 1960’s moderates ignored mounting issues related to race resulting in drastic measures and political realignments.
I like how the picture intentionally made all the conservatives white like there are no black/Latino conservatives or something.
You should draw one with more diversity
Funny when Larry Elder who is black conservative had a white woman wearing a gorilla mask throwing eggs at him. But this never made the national news because even though Larry is black he “doesn’t count” because he’s conservative. It’s okay to be racist to him
https://youtu.be/z9OprNUgHz8
Let me know when you draw it
That picture is so wrong. Jesus would never be on the right side I assure you that. It's all the misinterpretations of his teachings that led to that picture.
I don’t se Jesus in that image
Progressive…
im lower left on the political compass: libertarian socialist
@Subarugirl and you? Where do you stand?
Basically a moderate libertarian.
lol we got similar political compass tests. That’s funny
I'm sitting outside eating popcorn and watching all the idiots argue and hate each other over politics.
centrist, independent. voting left and right... rarely does my candidate win.
I'm a middle-of-the-road Independent, with some liber and some conservative beliefs.
I think it's kinda obvious I'm a liberal. Everyone's gonna have their own opinion
I sit on the conservative wing of the liberal Worker's Party.
Somewhere in the middle and laughing at the extremists on both ends.
It’s just one group. Hate.
I stepped out of all that a long while back.
I don't get involved in politics, i have no interest in it.
I guess left with some right wing views on a few little things
I don't care for political monikers, but libertarian would best describe the way I think.
i'm in the middle. which makes me a nazi in the eyes of leftists and a antifa extremist in the eyes of right wingers xD
I'm independent and think common sense. The most significant threat to our national security is our debt …
White separatism, white wellbeing, just barely a luddite but yeah
I stand in the background and wait for a chance to get rid of ''political standings'' :)
Socialist. But I support free market capitalism in terms of economy.
I'm Moderate but have both Conservative and Liberal views
I used to be a moderate but the democrats have gotten so crazy that I have become a conservative.
I talk a little from all that I shape as my world view no one party has it right. But if they all work together we could make it right
Leftist.
By the way, I despise people who support apartheid regimes, @Subarugirl.
In the UK I am a Moderate/Libertarian, but by the standards of the American Democrats I am Right Wing
While I doubt hardly anyone would outwardly admit to it, I think authoritarianism is prominent enough to be an option, here.
I believe in liberal ideas but unfortunately don’t trust the politicians to actually go through with what they say
Middle of the road. Some things I am conservative on, other things I’m liberal on.
None. It's silly to think you are just one. But f politics anyway. Believing in politicians and parties, Is so bizzare.
i am a nationalist. i only value america, and put it before the concerns of morality and believe nations cannot have moral obligations.
I used to be a Democrat until 2016 then I became a Republican, now I'm non-partisan and I probably won't vote. I think it's all fake.
Depends on the issue being discussed.
NO political party is correct or incorrect all the time.
Live life a little, do some research on the subject at hand and think for yourself.
I’m a moderate I don’t vote two major parties. I don’t support the political bloods and crips.
There is no one label that fits me. All professional politicians are pond scum.
In my country people with cross are the same of people with flag.
However I am centrist
Definitely a moderate, leaning away from the far right for sure.
