You are studying psychology, no? I think overcoming suicidalness might be about as difficult mentally as overcoming cancer physically. At least I'm sure I'm in no position to judge it. But I'm so happy either way for a friend if they aren't likely to die the next day for whatever reason.

Oh, I might have interpreted it wrong. If it's like someone tried to kill themself and survived it just after, well, I think I'd do the same thing anyway. That's all I know what to do. I just want them to avoid doing it again and be happy. It's all I know what to do visit them a lot and maybe bring flowers. Flowers usually aren't my style but maybe nice foods. I'm an well-intentioned idiot.

I don't know how to fix their sadness and I hate that more than anything. I want to reach in and fix it but I don't know-how. So I bring some foods I make at home -- 8+-hours slow roasting, my best attempts at cooking. I try to reluctantly tell them how much they mean to me, maybe hold their hand. I try to make them feel valuable. It's all I know how to do in this case.

Let's be honest.
Suicidal people need love and support more than just about anybody else.

They are so depressed or down and out they feel like taking their own lives.

Gotta try to help them.
