I found the Alfred Dewayne Brown case very interesting. It really shows how messed up the justice system is. A lawyer was holding the file that proved his innocence…

The woman who sued McDonalds after she got burned from a coffee spill.

Sounds like ridiculous law at first until you realize McDonalds kept the coffee at near boiling (205°) instead of 180° like you are supposed to, and I can't remember exactly but either the lid was not properly secured handing it to her or the design was poor and allowed it to slip out. Either way, she totally had a reason to sue for her medical treatments and McDonalds had to change protocol.

Quite a few. The most recent being the Nagarwalla case, when a doctor in Michigan was charged with illegally genitally mutilating baby girls. The sect she was a part of mandated it, and she appealed to grounds of religious freedom to support it. It looked, for a while, like that argument was finally going to fail, which set the standard for a country where it was illegal to sexually mutilate babies, *regardless of gender*, but then the judge dismissed the case, on an Interstate Commerce Commission technicality.

Several states DID, in response, immediately pass their own anti-genital mutilation laws- but only female genitals. Equal treatment of BABIES is apparently just too much to ask.

He was a Japanese who was studying in France when he shot a women (colleague)
In his apartment and cannibalize her.
When the case trail was held he was deemed insane, and was deported to Japan.
But the thing that surprised me that he was not put in jail. He was made into a small time celebrity and to this day he roams the streets like a free man
When I read about his case in more depth I was truly disgusted

There was no bigger event in popular culture than the OJ Simpson murder trial when I was in high school. I had my mom send me a 1 for guilty or 2 for not guilty to my pager if the verdict dropped while I was at school. I was in the middle of Government class my junior year when my pager started beeping and it read “2”, and I yelled out “not guilty!”, and the whole class went wild and started cheering lmao.

In my state there is a law that says that if you are caught with an unregistered firearm it is an automatic year in jail. It is never enforced because the liberal judges think it is racist because most of the offenders are gang members.
