Well, as usual, the conservative base such as @alexplaysvg is filled with people lacking skills in logic or intelligence.

I won't bother reviewing the logic.
Feel free to download and study this free classic textbook on the subject.
Introduction to Logic, 14th Edition, Irving M. Copi et alia.
    https://dorshon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Introduction-to-Logic.pdf

In a nutshell, just because a drug is used for horses (or other animals), doesn't mean that it isn't also used for humans and vice versa.

And that's the case with Misoprostol which has been around a long time.
Generally, one use of Misoprostol in human females is to medically induce abortions, for instance, if the woman has a dead fetus. However, it is also used for ulcers - in both humans and horses.

From a 2001 article "Misoprostol and Pregnancy" in the New England Journal of Medicine:
"Misoprostol is a prostaglandin E1 analogue that has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be taken orally for the prevention and treatment of gastric ulcers associated with the use of nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs. It has also become an important drug in obstetrical and gynecologic practice because of its uterotonic and cervical-ripening actions. Misoprostol is useful for elective medical abortion, cervical ripening before surgical abortion, evacuation of the uterus in cases of embryonic or fetal death, and induction of labor. The drug may also be used to treat and even prevent postpartum hemorrhage."

    Meanwhile...

Ivermectin __is__ a horse deworming medicine. We have it at my house (we own a horse) and can get it at Tractor Supply Company. BUT, it actually is a human medicine also for conditions involving parasitic worms in the gastrointestinal tract. That said, there is a MAJOR difference between what an animal consumes and what a human consumes. First and foremost is dosage. A horse is a 1200-pound animal which is more than 6 times the weight of most humans, so the concentration of Ivermectin for horses is much higher than for humans.

    From the FDA:
    https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/why-you-should-not-use-ivermectin-treat-or-prevent-covid-19
"Ivermectin Products for Animals Are Different from Ivermectin Products for People

For one thing, animal drugs are often highly concentrated because they are used for large animals like horses and cows, which weigh a lot more than we do— up to a ton or more. Such high doses can be highly toxic in humans. Moreover, the FDA reviews drugs not just for safety and effectiveness of the active ingredients, but also for the inactive ingredients. Many inactive ingredients found in products for animals aren’t evaluated for use in people. Or they are included in much greater quantity than those used in people. In some cases, we don’t know how those inactive ingredients will affect how ivermectin is absorbed in the human body.
    ...
Even the levels of ivermectin for approved human uses can interact with other medications, like blood-thinners. You can also overdose on ivermectin, which can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hypotension (low blood pressure), allergic reactions (itching and hives), dizziness, ataxia (problems with balance), seizures, coma and even death. "
    ====================
But, yes, I do call Ivermectin horse dewormer... because that is its most common use.

Ivermectin is a paralyzing agent that kills parasites in the body. For example worms and fetuses. Viruses like covid are not efficiently effective from Ivermectin because they are too small. The only time Ivermectin was studied for covid was in a petri dish and the dose needed to take effect would also paralyzed a person's heart.

Ivermectin on a fetuse, that has a comparable amount of cells as a parasitic entity, should logically create the same outcomes. Big shock there.

Do you not see how they are making fun of you? Outlawing abortions will not save a single fetus. So long as there's stairs, steel wire, Ivermectin. So your stance is creating more abortions. The only way to stop abortions is sex education and avaliable birth control including abortions.

If you truly in your heart of hearts care about the number of abortions happening. you should be pro choice for it creates the least amout of abortions possible. But anti abortions are not about abortions at all. It's to punish women for being people and create a culture war icon that you can abandon as soon as the kid is born just like the dad getting milk and cigarettes.

Ivermectin was designed for humans. It won the Nobel Peace prize in fighting bacteria and viruses in humans. Is given to humans when they enter the USA for any unknown diseases. It then got used with animals because its so effective

Ivermectin comes in two basic types: for animals and for humans. The animal type is used to protect against heartworm, while it protects against roundworm in humans. The two types have different dosages. Some people took ivermectin (human type) for COVID and had some success reducing the disease's effects, though there's no scientific evidence for that. Other people took the animal type for COVID, which is dangerous, and caused other, potentially serious, problems.

The difference is misoprostol (taken with mifepristone) is FDA approved to terminate a pregnancy. And ivermectin isn't approved treat covid and every study done shows it's ineffective in treating covid.

You mean the Nobel peace prize winning ivermectin for use against bacteria and viruses? It has just as much studies as the covid shot has against covid. Which is now down to 15% effective. But with 9 pages of side effects.

No, not the magic cure-all bullshit you've been lied to about by alex jones and other conspiracy theorists. Ivermectin isn't prescribed for bacterial or virus infections because it does nothing against those. it's prescribed for parasitic worm infections in people and animals. (jesus christ, do they not have google in the alternate reality you live in? 🙄)
      www.webmd.com/drug-medication/what-is-ivermectin

And again, every credible ivermectin study done with covid patients shows it's useless.

show me one credible study from a credible source done with patients, not lab rats or test tube studies, showing ivermectin is effective at treating covid.
(i'll save you time; no such study exists. and all the studies show ivermectin doesn't do shit against covid.)

It's a bad idea in two ways, both getting medical advice from the internet, and taking medicine meant for animals. However, in the case of covid, it was proven not to help, and there was a vaccine available that was free and would help. In the case of abortions, Republicans are cutting off the availability of alternative methods. Animal drugs are preferable to coat hangers or suicide.

In the matters of gaining power, what was true yesterday may not necessarily be true today and tomorrow is never certain. Luckily the average voter doesn't care too much about consistency so long as they get their worldviews realized.

human and animal medicine is litterally the same. just cause a medicine can also be used for horses, doesn't mean it won#t be effective in humans. something being a medicine for an animal, doesn't make it any less viable for humans, given the appropriate dosis.

There was a classic episode of Seinfeld where Kramer got some medicine from a vet. There are a lot of medicine that are prescribed to humans that are also used for animals.

I bet... this was always the plan. I can say with 100% accuracy that the Left ALWAYS accuses the Right of what the LEFT is doing or planning to do and whoops. Look at this, another shining turd of an example.

Funny, because I've seen the right insist that the left are going to take away your rights, but right now the right are taking away the right to an early abortion from women.

Trump keeps claiming the 2020 election was stolen (just as he was intending to do if he lost in 2016), but his co-conspirators were asking for pardons for trying to overturn the election on his behalf.

The right wing insist that the BLM protests were organised by Soros, but they're the ones who were begging Trump to call off the Jan 6th riot.

The right wing insist that Democrats don't care about people, but 92% of them in the House voted against capping the price of insulin.

The right-wing insist that the Democrats are a party of pedophiles, but they say nothing about Matt Gaetz's paying for a 17 year old to cross state lines and have sex with him.

That's all, off the top of my head, I expect there are many more examples. Hastert, Jordan, etc.

@goaded The COVID shots were developed BEFORE the COVID virus was released from China.
They had to match what was in the shots (biological worm organisms), with what they were going to put in the released virus. Kind of a scary thought, wouldn't you say?
